Great and fitting lyrics for the game franchise whose protagonist has been on quite the journey-from a slayer of gods driven solely by his desire for vengeance to a man who aids his child and decides to spare some of his foes.
One of the greatest fictional stories ever told
Well, he actually started wanting to erase his horrific memories of killing his past family, but since the gods mistreated him and forced him to live with his pain, he ends up getting the humanity beaten out of him and then wanted to kill the gods.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but in Tomatostyle’s art, the cold wind on Kratos’s face kinda looks a little like his mouth, making it look like he’s singing to the song. I really love that visual and I’m now headcannoning that Kratos was an opera singer at one point😊

This a masterpiede of the highest degree simply beautiful. God of war nordic saga hammered down the theme of breaking the cycles not just of destinynand fate but breaking cycles of abuse, of past trauma, of suffering in order to bring forth a brighter future.

@matthewscorner2990 I'll agree his family should have been effected more. Thrudd and Sif should have been absolutely destroyed by what happened in the ending with Aretus going up the mountain. But I think Thors actual death was perfect. He finally stands up to his abuser ready to take Kratos and Aretus' advice and is immediately put down like a wild animal. It was a perfect last nail in the coffin to show just how disgusting and vile Odin was.
