@@evagarcia865 Yes not only that, but the one who sang the preferred lyrics actually connects to the World of Light (not only in Adventure, but the boss rush indicates them). Galeem having Giga Bowser, Raphthalos and Galleom while Dharkon having Ganon, Dracula and Marx
Some random detail that I like; During the verses where Galeem and Dharkon reference their attacks on each other and the respective hands they control, Galeem always makes sure to refer to himself (“Do you not know the sting of *your god!?”* , “Do you not know *your master’s* firm hand!?”) like he’s reminding everyone that he’s the one in charge. Meanwhile, Dharkon only refers to the subjects as they are (“Do you not know the hammer *of god!?”* , “Do you not fear *insanity’s hand!?”* ), making it seem like he’s not seeking pure control, but more rather is a force that is pushing his power unto everyone.
_Italics_ - Lyrics sung from Galeem's perspective Z̷a̴l̸g̶o - Sung from Dharkon's perspective *Bold* - Collectively sung from the perspective of the Smash Bros. fighters _Lux_ - Galeem is the lord of light, and "lux" is the latin word for light. T̶e̷n̷e̶b̷r̷i̸s̵ - Dharkon is the embodiment of chaos and darkness, with "tenebris" being the latin word for darkness. _O̶m̴n̷i̵p̶o̶t̵e̴n̴t̴i̶!_ - A latin word that can be interpreted as meaning "almighty". The previous Lux and Tenebris in combination with this can be interpreted as "Almighty light" and "Almighty darkness", most likely Galeem and Dharkon tooting their own horns, flaunting their "almighty" power which is soon proven to be an illusion. _Each little spark, bursting with light // Struggling on, ever to fight_ - Galeem's army of enslaved light spirits and puppet fighters always ready to fight at his disposal against their will. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "These little sparks cling on to life, everyone caught in the struggle" _The storm of change, fanning the flames_ - Galeem's goal to change the universe by wiping the slate clean motivates him to continue fighting. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "And then the storms of change, they fan the flames, scattering ashes into the wind!" _Crash now the waves, I purify!_ - Galeem's initial attack visually appeared as a mass amount of light spreading similarly to a wave crashing on a beach. "I purify!" once again referring to Galeem's goal. _On that day, forever was banished, the night!_ The sun rising at the dawn of a new day banishes the night. Also refers to Galeem's rivalry with Dharkon and secondary goal of entirely eradicating him from existence. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "On that day, when the sky fell away, our world came to an end" I̷n̷ ̸t̸h̸e̸ ̴b̷e̵g̷i̴n̶n̵i̷n̶g̴ ̴w̷a̵s̵ ̴N̷O̴T̷H̵I̴N̵G̴ ̴b̷u̵t̷ ̶N̸I̷G̷H̶T̸!̸ - There having been a dawn implies that the sun was previously absent, meaning the night was present in the beginning before the light was, paralleling Galeem's previous lyric E̷a̶c̶h̷ ̴l̵i̴t̷t̵l̴e̶ ̴s̶p̸a̷r̶k̶,̷ ̸l̶o̶s̴t̸ ̴i̸n̷ ̷t̶h̸e̷ ̶d̵a̶r̸k̴,̴ ̴C̸R̷Y̸I̴N̴G̷ ̴a̸t̶ ̵s̵h̴a̴d̶o̷w̴s̶ ̴t̵o̶ ̶s̵a̶v̶e̴ t̷h̴e̸m̸!̷ - Mirrors Galeem's similar lyric, with the same meaning but flipped to Dharkon's perspective. Do you not know the sting of your god!?_ - Refers to one of Galeem's attacks performed when Dharkon is stunned, in which Galeem transforms into a giant needle and stings Dharkon in the eye. Galeem calling himself "your god" is a statement of arrogance, believing he has already triumphed against Dharkon's army. Dharkon simply calling himself "God" rather than "your god" is likely a statement of even more arrogance, with Dharkon believing he is above everything in existence. _Hear my will! I wipe the board clean for the light!_ - Referring to Galeem's goal again to wipe the universe of everything. Baptism in Christianity symbolizes purification, reflecting Galeem's goal once again. _This is the day they all follow our way, stepping into our tomorrow!_ - Galeem believes he's already won the war, and all will follow his army's way into the universe's future. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "This is the day we finally find our way, stepping into our tomorrow!" *Every soul contains a whisper of light,* - This "whisper of light" is not referring to light in the same way Galeem does, instead referring to the heroism of the Smash Bros. fighters in their fight against Galeem and Dharkon. Taken from Lifelight. *growing louder as it calls to unite!* - The Smash Bros. fighters call to each other and unite against a common enemy despit the differences some of them may have. Also taken from Lifelight. *From the distance sings a chorus of souls, rising slowly, stirring heat from the coals!* - The spirits who were enslaved by Galeem and Dharkon call to the fighters, and power them up once they have been saved. Also taken from Lifelight. *Colors weave into a spire of flame,* - The spirits unite together in the game's true ending, becoming a massive colorful spire that greatly resembles a flame. Also taken from Lifelight. *distant sparks call to a past still unnamed!* - The long legacy of Super Smash Bros. and the numerous callbacks to previous entries, as well as the game universes that cross over within it. Also taken from Lifelight. *Bear this torch against the cold of the night!* - In their unity, the Smash Bros. fighters are able to fight off every threat they come across no matter how sinister it may be. Also taken from Lifelight. *Light will guide you on your way to the ultimate fight!* - The aforementioned righteousness of the fighters guides them to the final battle. "Ultimate fight" can also refer to the game's title. Also taken from Lifelight. *Audi famam illius* - "Hear the fame of that one", referring to a famous hero. In this instance could refer to a famous group of heroes, such as the Smash Bros. fighters. Taken from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl opening theme. *Soles in hostes ruit* - "How he plunged into enemy territory", the fighters taking the war straight to Galeem and Dharkon and fighting them in their own territories. Also taken from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl opening theme. *Et patriam servavit!* - "And saved his homeland", the fighters saving the universe from Galeem and Dharkon's destructive and fruitless war. Also taken from the Super Smash Bros. Brawl opening theme.
The part where the actual Lifelight started playing with the chorus actually gave me shivers. The entire lyrics are incredible, so many dark mirrors of Lifelight and small references. -also how interesting that you chose to play Bowser after what Juno uploaded today hmm-
The light and the dark fight. Their own ideals more important than all the surrounding universe. They ARE the center of their own universe. The only thing that can stop them are those who were controlled by their will. Rising up as a single chorus, a single flame. Pretty poetic, is it not?
As I stated in the Songtober of this song. Darkness can not exist without Light sheen, and Light can not shine without Darkness' grasp. Galeem and Dharkon are fighting a war that neither side can win but are too blinded by the other to notice.
@@SolarialOSC Sometimes even when people find out something they are doing is bad, they will still continue it since in their mind if they stop, all of those deaths, wars, and destruction that Galeem and Dharkon caused, in their case, would have been for nothing.
@@papermr.magolorguy7957 That'd require them to care though. Given what happens if either of them win, it seems like they don't. It would be interesting to see them appear in other stuff though; maybe see how they became what they are and where they came from and such.
@@therealchaosguy I played the game, but didn't catch it. On the other hand (not intended), I did catch the reference to the form they take to attack the other's eyeball during the first time this part comes up.
I always imagined the lifelight cover as the fighters singing as they march on their way to fight Galeem and Darkon after they were all free, and now my headcannon expands as this becomes the song of the actual battle.
One thing I loved about this fight is that if Galeem and Dharkon were to actually work together and see you as an actual threat, they could have easily won. The problem is that they let their hatred for each other get in the way, and they treated the fighters like a minor nuisance. I feel like this this portrayed really well in this song, yet another banger from MOTI!
I find it interesting how Dharkon calls themself a “dark god” while Galeem calls themself the “light OF god”, really drives home how despite their equal evil, Galeem is the reigning champion and Dharkon is the challenger
Galeem does not see themselves as God they see themselves as an angel of God doing their duty so he's just doing this because he thinks he's ordered to he thinks he's been ordered to obliterate the multiverse and have only one universe and this makes sense cuz as lockston and gnar again have shown certain religions say that seraphims were tasked by God to get rid of darkness by burning everything in Holy light now seraphims are multi-winged angels so oh gleam seems to be doing this because he's been ordered to or thinks he's been ordered to where's dark orange just a an obvious demon / ruler of darkness that's trying to seek godhood like he doesn't kill gleam he imprisons gleam in chains a darkness and then after it cuts away from gleam his like fades away causing everything to go dark and him of it and Mario eventually dying presumably with everyone else and the last scene is with dark on just staring at the camera like staring right through the camera and directly at your soul and stuff like this also explains why you flees away from dark on because of obviousness because in that situation he was attacked by the fighters fires so he stunned a little and then dark on shows up through the crack of the sky when it fell away literally in figurefully like dark orange portal opened up up by half of him just by having a crack open up in the sky and then just shatter as if the sky was nothing but glass resulting in the rift so it seems like the whole sky falls away line that brother has been talking to talking about was a prophecy about dark on showing up meaning believe when you look at from a religious side is here to simply just burn everything away or at least to destroy dark on so he's here to keep so explains why all not to mention being an angel of God he probably didn't want the fighting at all meaning he was backed up into aquarium both the intro and this situation which is why claims bad ending happens to it does does he get the they successfully stunned dark on enough to to get to get them backed up into a to get like impending dark on doesn't die until galene starts attacking meaning things are going in meaning dark meaning to finish that Beast once and for all everything is just swelled up and then the bad ending just ends English bad ending just a bit interesting when you look at from a christianic point and just from a religious point in general.
It makes sense seeing as how Galeem had already won and defeated everyone swiftly (except Kirby) while Dharkon hadn’t had a chance to do that yet and instead so far has only taken over Galeem’s control due to Galeem being down for the moment
I’m so happy with how this all came together!! The vocals turned out amazing and the part where they both sing Lifelight gave me chills. Really glad I could make the art on this one, it all turned out so awesome 🤩 Great way to start the new year!!
Because of this part I realized, even if we defeat Dharkon first, the world is covered by darkness and not light, even with Galeem still alive, it seems like they did it with the intention of killing Galeem first.
I love how galeem sounds so dignified, symbolizing how he's a being of order, and dharkon's voice sounds so intimidating, since he is a being of chaos. This is a great video, and yes, I did love World of Light.
I love how Galleem sounds very passive agressive both in tone and speech while Darkhon gives harsh honesty with words of cruelty. Truly fitting of their characters. Yet as fundamentally different as they are, they sing the same tune. They both fight to dominate.
Galleem does come off as a Spoiled Prince who sees everyone else as insects whos only purpose is to serve him Dharkon comes off as Warlord who doesent care how many inocents die aslong as he gets the throne. In other words both are evil.
I especially enjoy the contrast between their voices, Galeem sounds smooth and gentle, like a shepherd calling to their lost lambs; on the other hand Dharkon's voice sounds sharp and threatening, like a deranged maniac with naught but a desire to cause pain and havoc wherever they go, it's glorious.
Galeem also sounds shrill and harsh at times, while Dharkon can sound smooth and harmonic at times. It shows how neither is really right or wrong in this battle. They are both deluded and are causing way more problems than they think they are fixing.
COLORS WEAVE INTO A SPIRE OF FLAME! DISTANT SPARKS INTO PAST UNNAMED! BEAR THIS TORCH CLAIM OF THE NIGHT! LIGHT WILL GUIDE YOU ON WILL BE ULTIMATE FIGHT!💖💖💖💖💖
I just want to point out that, despite being both evil, the two have a different attitude towards the player: Galeem is more calm, soft-spoken and has a soothing and high-pitched voice, not loosing his cool even when openly insulting the heroes (Mindless fools!...) and getting angry just when the characters still stands in the way, like if he is trying to convince the heroes that he is doing what's right for the universe, attempting to keep a kind and benevolent facade. On the other hand, Darkhon is not even trying, stright-up saying that he whants to destroy everything and is arrogant and self-absorbed, seemingly reveling in his evilness, as when claiming that he whants to be "called a beast" and is costantly shouting in a bombastic, boisterous way. They rapresents two different portrays of evil: Darkhon is the obvious, bad-to-the-core villain who is blatant in his goal and lack of good qualities, and Galeem is the most dangerous type of villany: The one that does not see itself as evil in anyway, firmly thinks that its ideals and actions are right despite being here so much evidence that it is not. The actually evil in reality and not, wich is adamant into the beliving that THEY are the good guys and who tryes to stop them and their madness is the "evil" villain Good job as Always, Dudes
So in other words Dharkon is the Litch from Adventure Time while Galeem is Thanos from Marvel. Tbh i dont think Galeem comes off as someone who necesarily thinks his right. His comments like 'Mindless Fools, do you not know your masters firm hand?' 'Do you not know the Sting of your god?' Both of those make it sound like Galeem thinks himself as High and Mighty and Humans as more or less insects whos only purpose is to worship him as a god. And galeem saying 'Your god' also seems to point at Galeem thinking of himself as the god of Humanity or the only god who should be worshiped. Galeem is like a narcisistic Prince while Dharkon is a Warlord.
I am so happy that this was the song to be given the full treatment. I love the contrast between Galeem and Dharkon which makes sense. They are beings that represent absolute light and dark respectfully, though I like Galeem more with the whole "light is not good" trope. All they care about is reshaping the world that fits with their ideals and destorying the other that opposes them. Little did they know that the ones who would ultimately bring them down were the same beings they wanted to control. Amazing work as always.
This was an awesome way to start the year. I’d been hoping for a full version ever since the Songtober version dropped. I think the best part is the inclusion of some of the lyrics from Brawl’s intro, it was so unexpected yet makes perfect sense. This makes me wonder what it would be like if Tabuu’s battle theme had lyrics EDIT: Something interesting I just realised is that the voice of Dharkon here (DylanWilliamvandeWal) was the voice of Galeem in the Songtober version
I love how it tries to turn "Lifelight" which is a song full of hope the other way around. Galeem and Dharkos are more firing despair in their lines. Well I guess hope is not something they would undestand. I love
I think the chorus and the latin part are sung by them AND the fighters. They sing them as mocking them and their efforts to beat them only for them to defeat and rule them anyways afterwards (in the bad endings) while the fighters do it as showing their hopes and united battle for freedom
1:30 and 3:57 were absolutely phenomenal! it really has some oomph to it and makes you really feel like your contributing to the ultimate fight between the 2 gods and yourself, and the part where the original singer came gave me chills down my spine, I don't think I've heard a song more impactful and powerful than this.
@@DylanWilliamvandeWal You've gotten a lot of awesome and terrifying roles. You got Galeem in Songtober, Kyurem for the Legendary Pokémon Musical Bytes, and now Dharkon in this adaptation of Vs. Galeem/Dharkon. 😂💕
Galeem and darkhon have the exact same amount of lines enforcing the idea of the two being so equal in power their fight couldn't be finished without interference
“NOW BEHOLD! LIAR OF GOLD! YOUR DARK GOD IS RISIIIIIING!” Now that gave me chills just because of how well it fits Dharkon, he calls a diety of light a liar of gold and calls himself the Dark God when Galeem refers to himself as only the light OF God. Goes to show just how powerful Dharkon believes he is and it’s earned since he’s the, “Embodiment of chaos and darkness.”
Galeem does also call himself the kingdoms Master and god aswell here 0:54 and 3:25 Galeem also seems to believe hes way more powerful than Dharkon as we see here 3:05 saying Dharkons war machines mean nothing to him. So both Dharkon and Galeem seem to see theirselfs as superior to the other aswell as Gods or Rulers of the realm. Both are Tyrants in their own ways only difference is Galeem is bit more vague with his words while Dharkon is more forward and agressive
GOSH THIS WAS SO SO GOOD THE EPICNESS IS MAGNIFIED AMAZINGLY IN THIS ONE! Gosh just... the lyrics from both of them are amazing and how their lines are pararells of eachother and how they come together... AHHH!!! So good!

The lyrics to this song are AWESOME. I love how the Lifelight lyrics were referenced and even incorporated! It is a huge mix of mystic, war between gods and references to the whole campaign of SSBU. I love it, can't stop listening And as I didn't find a comment addressing this: Thy = Your - ("Thy Epitaph") "Audi famam illius Soles en hostes ruit Et patriam servavit" = "Hear the report of that Sun who dashed the enemy and saved the country" (According to Google Translate)
0:55 “Do you not know the sting of your god?” “Do you not know the hammer of god?” Nice attention to detail. As, when you stun each of their cores, Galaem and Dharkon turn into a needle/nail and hammer respectively.
Now this is how you start a new year, by releasing an epic lyric rendition of one of the best final boss themes in Smash Bros history. I'll still never forget my first time battling Galeem and Dharkon at the same time, and my gosh it was truly the best moment of my life ^^ taking down 2 god-like entities to restore balance. You can never get better than that in a fighting game in my opinion, and you guys had made this a true masterpiece. Great job all of you wonderful people who worked on not just this but for every video you've done, happy new year and I can't wait to see what you have in store for 2023
1:01 I like how this is reference to what happens when you stun one of the two as galeem creates a stinger to attack dharkon and dharkon creates a hammer
I have to say, out of the hundreds of wonderful songs you guys have put out, this is by far my favorite Man On The Internet production. Everything from the lyrics to the voices really sells the idea of an epic climax, one last battle between the gods, where winner takes all, but no matter who wins, all of us mortals lose.
Wow this is better than I expected! And you know seeing Rathalos just gave me an idea. How about… The Monster Hunter themes with lyrics? I mean just imagine how regal Malzeno would sound or how Elegant Velkakna would be or how terrifying and godly Safi’jiva would feel! I know this might not get a lot of attention, but it’s still an idea… Anyway great job to the team and Happy New Year to everyone! 🎉
@@thehollyraven Yeeeesss! And if they were to do it I would prefer only the elder dragons to speak (Bazel as well because why the hell not) and the rest of the monster themes like Zinogre should be describing and complementing the monster like how Rise did it. I even made an example; “Running through the night at the speed of light Clawing and blitzing charging up his might Howling through the darkness, thunder he hungers Howling at the moon ZI-NO-GRE!”
@@Roastatrice Oh, now that would be sick! @@thehollyraven Hmm, Not bad of an idea👍. (even though my hatred for those two monsters burns brighter than both of them combined…) Also here’s another idea (if you don’t mind) if they were to do Keeper of Hades I would like to see them take Vaal hazak as not as a creature that revels in death and decay, but rather a brother of nature keeping the balance of life and death. Things must die in order for there to be life no exceptions. (I mean this is how it’s stated in game) (Kind of like what they did with Xerneas and Yvetal) Also sorry for the long reply.
beyond bone chilling. even going as far as sewing in the initial lyrics to Brawl's main theme. Ultimate may be the superior game of the 5(6) entries, but Brawl had a much bigger impact on me. thank you for weaving together this masterpiece, ya lot. ;u;
“Sound all the horns, ready for war. Bring the baptism of fire. This is the day they all follow out way into our tomorrow!!” This line is literally perfect. But the whole song makes sense if you know World if Light’s story. But it still is good even if you never knew the story.
Every game gives the same "light is good and dark is bad BS"... But here it is different. Galeem and Dharkon are both evil gods and this is a awesome final boss fight
Small game theory Dharkon and Galeem both represent the two forces of the universe, dark matter and gravity, if you defeat just Galeem, we see the fighters die, and the universe go dark, symbolizing the Big Rip, where dark matter actually grows stronger over time, slowly putting more space in between smaller and smaller area, while if you defeat Dharkon, you can see Galeem turn the universe to light, like during the Big Crunch, where gravity wins over dark matter and its slowly starts to implode, everything gets closer together and gets hotter and brighter, while if you defeat both nothing happens, you save the universe, the power of dark matter stays the same and the universe just dies once more
Yall the captions are so good and the song. IT IS A BANGER! I am speechless. This is so good. The lyrics, the voice actors, all amazing. I watch this every day
Now that is one epic way to start 2023. It is rather fitting, a start of brand new day of light and darkness. Both sides fitting for control, neither are right nor wrong. And the heroes are the only ones to stop this madness. Thank for making wonderful videos and hope to see many more exciting videos this year.
This boss fight in a nutshell: “So basically Third Impact and the Cthulhu Mythos are at war with each other, and the entire gaming multiverse is caught in the middle of their conflict!”

Chills. For like. The whole song. This is incredible and I love so much. Nice references to Galeem and Darkrai's attacks against each other while each is stunned with the "sting of god" and "hammer of god" lyrics :)
I get the feeling from this song where the two are having an argument, but one of those arguments where both know it’s not going anywhere, and they have it like five million times.
This was the Songtober song I voted for. I was kind of hoping that Galeem and Dharkon would be voiced by the same actor, but the voices you gave them sound good enough, especially with the effects.
Honestly my favorite part is dharkons first few verses talking about spirits lost in the darkness and them crying out for help it really fits his entire character and thats why I love it so much
This song is literally giving me chills. And there are some religious references, it's almost scary. Like, "Sound now the horns, ready for war, bring the baptism of fire!" Literally, there will be horn sounds in the air IRL when the apocalypse happens. Great Job with this song!
I just realized that Galeem mentions "The sting of your god" while Darkon mentions "the hammer of God" which is a reference to each of their respective attacks on the other when one is stunned.

Everything about this is so freaking perfect. The contrast between Galeem and Dharkon's lines, the variations of the original Lifelight lyrics and references to Master Hand and Crazy Hand, and even the first few lines of the Brawl main theme. I just cannot put into words how great this is.
I knew something in here was official lyrics just not from lifelight
There are references to all the bosses as stated by Alex
Giga Bowser: Power beyond your mortal shell
Galleom: Your war machines all mean nothing to me
Rathalos: Feel now my wrath
Marx: Marked by my stare
Dracula: Tremble at my form and despair
Ganon: Call me a beast
@@evagarcia865 Yes not only that, but the one who sang the preferred lyrics actually connects to the World of Light (not only in Adventure, but the boss rush indicates them). Galeem having Giga Bowser, Raphthalos and Galleom while Dharkon having Ganon, Dracula and Marx
Some random detail that I like;
During the verses where Galeem and Dharkon reference their attacks on each other and the respective hands they control, Galeem always makes sure to refer to himself (“Do you not know the sting of *your god!?”* , “Do you not know *your master’s* firm hand!?”) like he’s reminding everyone that he’s the one in charge. Meanwhile, Dharkon only refers to the subjects as they are (“Do you not know the hammer *of god!?”* , “Do you not fear *insanity’s hand!?”* ), making it seem like he’s not seeking pure control, but more rather is a force that is pushing his power unto everyone.
On the other hand, in the verse after the Latin, Galeem refers to 'The light of god', while Dharkon says 'Your dark god'.
This reminds me of the matpat theory that dharkon represents the Nintendo toxic famdons while galeem represents Nintendo corporativs
Kinda fits what happens if each one wins. One fate is a LOT WORSE than another.

@@endrylgoes2892 Each little spark, lost in the dark, crying "WAIRZ WALUIIIIGIIIIIIII!?"
_Italics_ - Lyrics sung from Galeem's perspective
Z̷a̴l̸g̶o - Sung from Dharkon's perspective
*Bold* - Collectively sung from the perspective of the Smash Bros. fighters
_Lux_ - Galeem is the lord of light, and "lux" is the latin word for light.
Derived from the Lifelight lyric "These little sparks cling on to life, everyone caught in the struggle"
_The storm of change, fanning the flames_ - Galeem's goal to change the universe by wiping the slate clean motivates him to continue fighting. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "And then the storms of change, they fan the flames, scattering ashes into the wind!"
_Crash now the waves, I purify!_ - Galeem's initial attack visually appeared as a mass amount of light spreading similarly to a wave crashing on a beach. "I purify!" once again referring to Galeem's goal.
_On that day, forever was banished, the night!_ The sun rising at the dawn of a new day banishes the night. Also refers to Galeem's rivalry with Dharkon and secondary goal of entirely eradicating him from existence. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "On that day, when the sky fell away, our world came to an end"

_Mindless fools!

_Sound now the horns, ready for war!_ - Galeem's character theme and this song both contain heavy usage of brass horns.
_Bring the baptism of fire!_ - Galeem's light theme naturally connects him to fire. Baptism in Christianity symbolizes purification, reflecting Galeem's goal once again.
_This is the day they all follow our way, stepping into our tomorrow!_ - Galeem believes he's already won the war, and all will follow his army's way into the universe's future. Derived from the Lifelight lyric "This is the day we finally find our way, stepping into our tomorrow!"

Darkness can not exist without Light sheen, and Light can not shine without Darkness' grasp. Galeem and Dharkon are fighting a war that neither side can win but are too blinded by the other to notice.

One thing I loved about this fight is that if Galeem and Dharkon were to actually work together and see you as an actual threat, they could have easily won. I find it interesting how Dharkon calls themself a “dark god” while Galeem calls themself the “light OF god”, really drives home how despite their equal evil, Galeem is the reigning champion and Dharkon is the challenger
Really paints Galeem as angel of God, and Dharkon as a demon seeking godhood.

Galleem does come off as a Spoiled Prince who sees everyone else as insects whos only purpose is to serve him
Dharkon comes off as Warlord who doesent care how many inocents die aslong as he gets the throne.
@@plaidhatter1674 But also that they have a lot more in common than they would ever admit.
COLORS WEAVE INTO A SPIRE OF FLAME! DISTANT SPARKS INTO PAST UNNAMED! BEAR THIS TORCH CLAIM OF THE NIGHT! LIGHT WILL GUIDE YOU ON WILL BE ULTIMATE FIGHT!💖💖💖💖💖
I just want to point out that, despite being both evil, the two have a different attitude towards the player:
Galeem is more calm, soft-spoken and has a soothing and high-pitched voice, not loosing his cool even when openly insulting the heroes (Mindless fools!...) and getting angry just when the characters still stands in the way, like if he is trying to convince the heroes that he is doing what's right for the universe, attempting to keep a kind and benevolent facade. The actually evil in reality and not, wich is adamant into the beliving that THEY are the good guys and who tryes to stop them and their madness is the "evil" villain
Good job as Always, Dudes
So in other words Dharkon is the Litch from Adventure Time while Galeem is Thanos from Marvel.
Tbh i dont think Galeem comes off as someone who necesarily thinks his right. His comments like 'Mindless Fools, do you not know your masters firm hand?' 'Do you not know the Sting of your god?'
Both of those make it sound like Galeem thinks himself as High and Mighty and Humans as more or less insects whos only purpose is to worship him as a god. And galeem saying 'Your god' also seems to point at Galeem thinking of himself as the god of Humanity or the only god who should be worshiped.
Galeem is like a narcisistic Prince while Dharkon is a Warlord.

Galeem and darkhon have the exact same amount of lines enforcing the idea of the two being so equal in power their fight couldn't be finished without interference
This is beyond incredible, I got so many chills and a massive wave of nostalgia when the lyrics from Brawl’s theme started getting sung
“NOW BEHOLD! LIAR OF GOLD! YOUR DARK GOD IS RISIIIIIING!”
Now that gave me chills just because of how well it fits Dharkon, he calls a diety of light a liar of gold and calls himself the Dark God when Galeem refers to himself as only the light OF God. Goes to show just how powerful Dharkon believes he is and it’s earned since he’s the, “Embodiment of chaos and darkness.”
Galeem does also call himself the kingdoms Master and god aswell here 0:54 and 3:25
Galeem also seems to believe hes way more powerful than Dharkon as we see here 3:05 saying Dharkons war machines mean nothing to him.
So both Dharkon and Galeem seem to see theirselfs as superior to the other aswell as Gods or Rulers of the realm.

1:01 I like how this is reference to what happens when you stun one of the two as galeem creates a stinger to attack dharkon and dharkon creates a hammer
The Angel and The Devil
I have to say, out of the hundreds of wonderful songs you guys have put out, this is by far my favorite Man On The Internet production. Everything from the lyrics to the voices really sells the idea of an epic climax, one last battle between the gods, where winner takes all, but no matter who wins, all of us mortals lose.
I love the light and dark duet and the life light references
I cannot gush enough over the brawl theme lyrics at 2:03
1:44 if this were made when smash ultimate was still popular the magic of it would have worn off, but because of how long it's been it's epic again
i love how it uses a mix of original and canon lyrics, beautiful
I love that you included lyrics from Brawl's theme!
This boss fight is the definition of "stop getting in each other's way!"
So glad this won Songtober. It's beautiful.
The age long struggle between Light and Darkness and with those caught in it unsure which path to follow.
Honestly 1:30 sends shivers down my spine each time i hear it
Wow this is better than I expected!
And you know seeing Rathalos just gave me an idea.
How about… The Monster Hunter themes with lyrics?
I mean just imagine how regal Malzeno would sound or how Elegant Velkakna would be or how terrifying and godly Safi’jiva would feel!
I know this might not get a lot of attention, but it’s still an idea…
Anyway great job to the team and Happy New Year to everyone! 🎉
Holy shit, that would be amazing. Imagine Fatalis or Alatreon or idk, Zorah Magdaros or Nergigante with lyrics!
@@thehollyraven Yeeeesss!
And if they were to do it I would prefer only the elder dragons to speak (Bazel as well because why the hell not) and the rest of the monster themes like Zinogre should be describing and complementing the monster like how Rise did it.
I even made an example;
“Running through the night at the speed of light
Clawing and blitzing charging up his might
Howling through the darkness, thunder he hungers
Howling at the moon
ZI-NO-GRE!”
@@Roastatrice Oh, now that would be sick! An idea popped into my head just now actually, which is Teostra and Lunastra’s themes being one song, perhaps a duet between Alex and Emily like with Groudon and Kyogre? Except they wouldn’t be verbally fighting, rather working in tandem if that makes sense!
@@thehollyraven Hmm, Not bad of an idea👍. (even though my hatred for those two monsters burns brighter than both of them combined…)
Also here’s another idea (if you don’t mind) if they were to do Keeper of Hades I would like to see them take Vaal hazak as not as a creature that revels in death and decay, but rather a brother of nature keeping the balance of life and death.
Things must die in order for there to be life no exceptions. (I mean this is how it’s stated in game)
(Kind of like what they did with Xerneas and Yvetal)
Also sorry for the long reply.
YES. However, here are some that truly stand out:
-Mizutsune
-Zinogre
-Zorah Magdaros
-Fatalis
-Safi'Jiiva
And best of all
PROOF OF A HERO
beyond bone chilling. even going as far as sewing in the initial lyrics to Brawl's main theme. Ultimate may be the superior game of the 5(6) entries, but Brawl had a much bigger impact on me. thank you for weaving together this masterpiece, ya lot. ;u;
Kirby watching off-screen while Bowser kills 2 gods at once like: “Finally, a worthy opponent.”
Groudon: Is that what we’re like when we fight?
Kyogre: I hope not, because that’s just sad!
Rayqazia: iS tHaT wHaT wE rE lIkE!
YES IT IS YOU TWO DELINQUENTS
At 0:56 they start talking about their attacks and that is so cool
“Sound all the horns, ready for war. Bring the baptism of fire. This is the day they all follow out way into our tomorrow!!” This line is literally perfect. But the whole song makes sense if you know World if Light’s story. But it still is good even if you never knew the story.
Every game gives the same "light is good and dark is bad BS"...
But here it is different.
Galeem and Dharkon are both evil gods and this is a awesome final boss fight
Hollow Knight: Allow me to introduce myself
@@Icantfindagoodname true: light bad and dark good.
Forgot about that
@@martijnklaassen3536 I definitely wouldn't describe the darkness as GOOD in Hollow Knight. It's more like "light bad. Dark bad but also useful"
It shows why light is often a counterpart to darkness, as order can be just as awful as chaos
I mean there is like 80 billion pieces of media that do that.
I love how its a rewrite of Lifelight, which is what the Melody is based on
Small game theory
Dharkon and Galeem both represent the two forces of the universe, dark matter and gravity, if you defeat just Galeem, we see the fighters die, and the universe go dark, symbolizing the Big Rip, where dark matter actually grows stronger over time, slowly putting more space in between smaller and smaller area, while if you defeat Dharkon, you can see Galeem turn the universe to light, like during the Big Crunch, where gravity wins over dark matter and its slowly starts to implode, everything gets closer together and gets hotter and brighter, while if you defeat both nothing happens, you save the universe, the power of dark matter stays the same and the universe just dies once more
You guys picked the BEST song to start the year off with a bang with. And what a artistic banger it is. 😍😍😍 I LOVE IT!
I love how the gods start to become more insane as the song goes on
1:31 Imagine you're in a really dark church, you're all alone, then you suddenly hear this part echoeing through the entire church
Yall the captions are so good and the song. IT IS A BANGER!
I am speechless. This is so good. The lyrics, the voice actors, all amazing. I watch this every day
4:45 "mindless fool's do you not know the sting of your god!?"
4:28 "errand drones do you not know the hammer of god!?"
Now that is one epic way to start 2023. It is rather fitting, a start of brand new day of light and darkness. Both sides fitting for control, neither are right nor wrong. And the heroes are the only ones to stop this madness. Thank for making wonderful videos and hope to see many more exciting videos this year.
1:12 Fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
This boss fight in a nutshell: “So basically Third Impact and the Cthulhu Mythos are at war with each other, and the entire gaming multiverse is caught in the middle of their conflict!”
Man on the internet, you do so well. I love every song and left on the edge of my seat with every new song and this song has astounded me, well done to all involved, and can’t wait to see what you do in the next year!! Happy New Years man on the internet!!! May your songs expand evermore!!!
Galeem part when say "feel now my wrath, thy epitah, shall be ereased by the sunshine" is my favorite galeem part, his voice become how angelic and calm!
Chills.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOREVER!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!
Honestly my favorite part is dharkons first few verses talking about spirits lost in the darkness and them crying out for help it really fits his entire character and thats why I love it so much
I just realized Bowser was fighting both Dharkon and Galeem, seems pretty accurate Ngl.
This was BEAUTIFUL! I loved how everything meshes so well together with the concept of Light Vs Dark and the Chorus coming in too. This rocks!
OMG THIS IS SO EPIC AND I JUST LOVE HOW THEY REFERENCE THE HANDS THEY CONTROL AND THEIR ATTACKS AGAINST EACH OTHER
This song is literally giving me chills. And there are some religious references, it's almost scary. Like, "Sound now the horns, ready for war, bring the baptism of fire!" Literally, there will be horn sounds in the air IRL when the apocalypse happens. Great Job with this song!
I like how you used the sting and hammer of god to reference the attacks they use against each other.
I just realized that Galeem mentions "The sting of your god" while Darkon mentions "the hammer of God" which is a reference to each of their respective attacks on the other when one is stunned.
I like how Bowser is the one fighting them
Dharkon : "Do you not fear insanity's hand"
Galeem : "Do you not know your master's firm hand"
Nice reference to Master Hand and Crazy Hand though
2:11 i love that you said the V like a W like how latin used to be
Now I await for an hour of this divine Melody.
