    For those who use a low quality warmer mine has 2 settings on and off. I turn mine on for about 25 30 minutes it will have a really thin consistency. turn it all the way off stur for 30 sec. Wait 5 minutes stur again it should now be at honey consistency.

    Hi! I obtained my state esthetician's license years ago now...however, I never worked as an esthetician...my license DID get me a couple of jobs however as a clinic manager...but I'm not that anymore either. Anyhoo! I didn't get a whole lot of waxing experience in school. Not much at all! Like almost none...I had done maybe 3 people tops! So I have always been so gun shy when it comes to waxing...recently, I find myself knee deep in divorce...and have busied myself with gardening and purchased a clean and easy wax warmer and a hard wax and a soft wax...although its Summer, I still decided to let all my hairs grow! Going to start practicing on myself and then ask friends, my daughter in law and my bosses wife if I can practice on them. Your videos are so helpful! Like incredibly helpful! I am writing to tell you Thank You!!
    Many blessings to you and your family!

    Do you have a video walking us through a waxing appointment from the moment the client walks in until the end ? This would be very helpful to us beginners that could possibly get awkward on how to go through the proper steps like collecting the right info on the intake/consent forms, instructing client on how to lay on the table, prep, waxing, going over aftercare and rebooking appointments! :)

    • @nifflinNiffler
      @nifflinNiffler Год назад +4

      That should all be covered in your cosmetology training. Do not attempt this on potential "clients" without your student or professional license, without a license it's illegal and you could be penalized.

    Hi, I have a question
    So Im learning waxing in my class and what she told me is little bit different what you explained
    She said
    First, spread wax against hair growth
    Secondly, using ur tip of the stick, moving the stick side to side to make sure you grab all the hairs
    Third, u make a leap then remove it AGAINST the hair growth
    Also you have to make sure u dont make it too thin (but not too thick as well cuz it will break the wax ) and u should not be able to seethrough the hairs
    .
    Sorry for the long explanation T.T
    But when I see other vid they use same movement like you do and spread the wax pretty thin, and THAT is confusing me every time when I practice waxing.
    I just want to know what is the difference between you and her method
    Thank you!!

    Love these videos, they are super helpful! I've been doing Brazilian waxes at home for 6 months now and am having trouble with a lot of ingrown hairs that I cannot get rid of and I didn't have them when I used to shave. I'm not sure which part of the waxing process I'm doing wrong that's causing them! Would love to talk with you to figure it out.

      Apply wax in direction where hair is growing, and take off in opposite way, exfoliate gently every time you have shower. I have been waxing ( bikini ) for 26 years, however for legs and armpits I use depilating machine. I hardly have any hair now, and ingrown hair was never a problem

    • @jclyntoledo
      @jclyntoledo 2 года назад +1

      @@nicolett811 Exfoliate like the other two said and have a tweezer handy so when you check the area a few days later you can get the ingrown hairs before they set in too deep. Also I've learned that sometimes it's best to exfoliate in the direction of the hair growth instead of in a circle for example with underarms.

    Do you have a recommendation for a high quality warmer for at home use?

    • @IloveGermany00
      @IloveGermany00 4 года назад +11

      I just bought a 1lb wax warmer from starpil and I love it so far! I was looking on Amazon for wax warmers at first but some of the reviews said their warmers caught on fire. 😳 Decided I would rather buy from an actual wax brand and pay extra.

    • @razz0dazzle
      @razz0dazzle 4 года назад +6

      @@IloveGermany00 I asked this same question and it's tough because I have no clue what makes a wax warmer reliable. Have you tried the mermaid wax at home, how was it? Ordered the Sirena , excited to try it. Hoping it's a win. Haven't tried Starpil, but seems its the best on the marker (Sirena / Mermaid wax) for at home use.

    • @hissnkittenwaxing
      @hissnkittenwaxing  2 года назад

      Hey girl! The warmers from Mermaid Wax are the only Industrial Grade, USA made wax warmers available. They are unlike any other wax warmer out there and will last you the rest of your career. You'll most likely be able to give it to your grandkids! I've already had mine for 10 years with no issues at all. All the other warmers you see are Chinese made warmers at a fraction of the quality. These are the real deal, there is no comparison.
