Yes in order to increase the payoff of the reveal. the clips from 1:02 - 1:10 are reordered in order to increase the payoff of the reveal of Okuyasu returning. originally, it went: Okuyasu's legs, chest, Kira - hayato - josuke, dramatic snap to okuyasu's face. this is a very literal translation of how the manga ordered it's panels. however, my adjustment takes into account that you see the whole page at once, and would therefore have seen each segment of his body at the same time as each face. however, there would be no drama if I started at the top panel, because then you'd see his face before the rest of him, which don't matter after the reveal. so I started from the bottom and worked up the page instead. so the change is: Okuyasu's legs, kira-hayato's 「貴様、、！」「 は、、、!?」, Okuyasu's chest, Josuke's「手前えは！！」, BOOM, reveal of Okuyasu and the hand. IMO this increases the drama and therefore the payoff of the reveal, as well as syncing to the music a little better. I stopped the music while Okuyasu talked about his dream because obviously it doesn't belong there, but specifically started it when the hand destroys the bomb and removes stray cat. When Kira is about to use stray cat, his theme starts playing, and so i used the sudden cut of the hand as a leaping point to cut right back into Okuyasu's theme, denying Kira his theme suddenly, just like Okuyasu denied him of firing another bomb, and denying Kira of all dominance of the scene with okuyasu's overwhelming power over him in that moment. Doing that along with the cut from the dream speech allowed more control over where his theme played, allowing near perfect timing of the lull of the song to Kira reacting to Koichi calling out to Jotaro, and having the song's final chord end with Kira cornered moments. By doing this, i used his theme not only as a triumphant return for Okuyasu, but doubling as a representation of the oppressive opposition Kira is feeling. The lull in the music right before kira hears Jotaro is nearby makes it seem like Kira just *might* regain control of the situation, but is denied once again as the song picks back up for it's finale. the reason i made a second edit as DL was because i messed up a frame that you can spot at 1:07 on this upload.

I don’t think it was whether to be good or evil, Okuyasu was asked what he wanted to do with his life free from the standard that was his older brother, and he decided to make his own life. He didn’t need to follow his older brother around anymore, he can make his own decisions, which might be hard for him but he can learn.
Maybe it's because Joseph got to say goodbye. His soul said goodbye to Jotaro, he lived a long life fulfilling and was okay with it being over. Where okuyasu spent his life listening to his brother. He never really lived his own life. Jojo is all about fate most of the time, maybe it just works different for others
Jotaro and josuke can literally bring people back from the dead if they work together. If they found kakyoins body, Josuke would heal it, and after it’s healed Jotaro pumps kakyoins heart back up. Boom, you got a live and healthy kakyoin

All jokes aside, characters that learn to make their own decisions and follow their own paths have to be one of my favorite tropes in fiction. Killua, Historia, Simon, Okuyasu... after spending your whole life following other people, it's hard to change but it's something we all need to learn at some point. I feel like many of us can relate to that process. Okuyasu is one of my favorite Jojo's characters. He's hilarious most of the time but still goes through his personal journey.
I would love that we get Mini series where we could see small pieces of a characters journey after a Part, like for example: A Part 3.5 with Polnareff's journey, A Part 4.5 with Okuyasu's journey, and a Part 5.5 with the New Passione and GER.

Okyasu got the greatest character arc I think I’ve ever seen. Instead of dying and continuing to follow his brother blindly, his brother told him to think for himself, and he realized he just wanted to be in Morioh where his friends were, and needed him. He never got smarter, he never got stronger, he never even really changed. The only thing that grew in him was a sense of individuality, and the way that Araki wrapped it all ip with such a bittersweet little scene was perfect. I don’t think it could’ve been done any better.
One of the neat things I want to point out about Za Hando and how much potential it can have in the hands of someone more intelligent is just before he scrapes the bubble away. He's subconsciously erasing just the space in front of the bubble, dragging it where Za Hando's hand goes. Not to mention, when he scrapes away Stray Cat, Killer Queen, and by extension, Kira, doesn't get dragged with it. He's able to target what he wants to scrape away, even if he doesn't know it. Fuckin love this guy, man.

To me it would be because you're hearing a serious and deep talk from a very simple minded man who probably doesnt understand the depth of his words. But they're all genuine and he did think for himself. Its something I could be deeply proud of him for because I know it doesnt come easy to him. The hand is designed by how narrow his thinking is but in this moment he made a decision beyond his scope or view. He went through massive growth and became a better person. He became the kind of man that he still to this day thinks his brother was. You gotta love him for being so sincere and kind hearted. He went from a very dependent teenager who cant think for himself or take care of himself into a man who can survive and thrive on his own. He deserved that outcome

I like how Okuyasu's sound effect for the Hand is almost the same as the time stop from The World. It really makes you understand that Okuyasu has a powerful stand under his belt. Guy's got potential
"potential" is the understatement of the century. His stand can literally wipe things from existence, even space itself, he can destroy the earth if he so desires, but he is thankfully so fucking dumb he doesn't realise it.
One of my favorite parts about Okuyasu is that he not only acknowledges that he isn't especially intelligent, but also tries his best at taking that into account whenever he's in a difficult situation. He doesn't always do this, but just enough to the point where he doesn't come across as a COMPLETE idiot.

Thought what the other reply said is true, if the audio from the original scene is extracted and processed, it is possible to remove the music or just make it much more lower than the voices, thus leaving place for the okuyasu thene to play with no problem.

meh, I don't feel like this should be a "badass" moment. It really touched me when Okuyasu came back, it was a sad yet relieving moment, I feel like the original theme captures that feeling perfectly
Andres Gaggero I believe it depends on the person watching. For manga readers, they knew it was a fakeout, so to them it was a badass save-and-comeback scene and deserved his awesome theme to match that. For anime only watchers, (maygodhelpyoursoul), it was an emotional moment due to many believing he was dead and not coming back so it need the emotional music.
I'm a manga reader, and I'd say I was still going for the emotional feeling, and appreciated what the episode did. Regardless, I loved this edit! The music felt more than appropriate.
Thats no criteria for knowing when a character dies. They announced Joseph's death yet he still didn't die. They didnt even announce when Avdol was scraped away into the abyss by Vanilla Ice.
i actually i like it much more with the loud music especially with subs because the words just dont matter as much as the deeply detailed scene (visuals)
There isn't really any (reasonable) way to lower the music in the anime, so the music that was overlayed had to be a lot louder than usual to cover up the original.

All jokes aside, characters that learn to make their own decisions and follow their own paths have to be one of my favorite tropes in fiction. Killua, Historia, Simon, Okuyasu... after spending your whole life following other people, it's hard to change but it's something we all need to learn at some point. I feel like many of us can relate to that process.

Okyasu got the greatest character arc I think I’ve ever seen. Instead of dying and continuing to follow his brother blindly, his brother told him to think for himself, and he realized he just wanted to be in Morioh where his friends were, and needed him. He never got smarter, he never got stronger, he never even really changed. The only thing that grew in him was a sense of individuality, and the way that Araki wrapped it all ip with such a bittersweet little scene was perfect. I don’t think it could’ve been done any better.

One of the neat things I want to point out about Za Hando and how much potential it can have in the hands of someone more intelligent is just before he scrapes the bubble away. He's subconsciously erasing just the space in front of the bubble, dragging it where Za Hando's hand goes. Not to mention, when he scrapes away Stray Cat, Killer Queen, and by extension, Kira, doesn't get dragged with it. He's able to target what he wants to scrape away, even if he doesn't know it. Fuckin love this guy, man.

One of my favorite parts about Okuyasu is that he not only acknowledges that he isn't especially intelligent, but also tries his best at taking that into account whenever he's in a difficult situation. This is essentially what happens in a lot of those You Say Run Goes With Everything videos that have the original ost playing below them. Thought what the other reply said is true, if the audio from the original scene is extracted and processed, it is possible to remove the music or just make it much more lower than the voices, thus leaving place for the okuyasu thene to play with no problem.

meh, I don't feel like this should be a "badass" moment. It really touched me when Okuyasu came back, it was a sad yet relieving moment, I feel like the original theme captures that feeling perfectly

For manga readers, they knew it was a fakeout, so to them it was a badass save-and-comeback scene and deserved his awesome theme to match that.
For anime only watchers, (maygodhelpyoursoul), it was an emotional moment due to many believing he was dead and not coming back so it need the emotional music.
I'm a manga reader, and I'd say I was still going for the emotional feeling, and appreciated what the episode did. Regardless, I loved this edit! The music felt more than appropriate.
