I have fished Easy bay for over 40 years, and I owned a home about 2 miles east of Rollover Pass for over 15 years. I fish East Bay at least once a week from spring to late fall. This last year was by far the worst year I've experienced, and I attribute it to the closing of Rollover.

Me and my dad fished around stingeree the other day, no luck, we hit Yates cove, big pasture, and goat island. Ended up shooting over to palapa island to check it out since I saw it on the channel. Pretty cool. Keep up the videos 👌🏻

Been getting some good reds at the pass lately. Take care and stay safe.

I think closing it tends to make them stack in that area. I need to get out there on the kayak.

What video are you referring to? I haven’t seen the shoutout on MDLR.

Might be fresh water from big rain events that drain into the San Jacinto and Trinity Rivers over the last few years combined with closing rollover. That makes it tough on the trout because of low salinity levels. The bay gets fresh and the trout leave. If we don't have any huge rain events for a decent period of time the trout fishing should improve in EGB.

Great video, but would like to see additional info on bait and tackle used and how you were fishing the lure. Thanks!

I have a speed boat and I'm terrified to run anywhere but the channel... if you get a chance look at a map and see all the reef wrecks ect agin not experienced fisherman in the shallows... awesome video I use to like to leave Kemah and go to moody gardens for fireworks and beach action then back.. also you can get to alot of great restaurants and entertainment by boat around here

Yah I have seen all of the reef wrecks around Galveston bay. No matter how good you know the water it’s always sketchy running in the shallows. When tides are super low I like to go out and record tracks so when the tide is up I know I am in the clear when running. The kemah area is fun I have a buddy and his dad lives in San Leon area and when we were kids we would run all around in the jet skis from Kemah over to offatts bayou. It’s always good times on the water.

How are you doing. Hope you don’t mind me asking because I know it is a sensitive subject when it comes to this boat and I understand if you don’t feel like sharing but how you like the Xpress 18. How does it handle in chopper water and how shallow have you gone with it. Do you have any issue with corrosion or anything even with regular maintenance after every trip?
I’m in the market for a boat and since I’m a rookie when it comes to it. I figure I should start with a low maintenance one, so I have been looking at different aluminum bay boats.
Any pros and cons you can share will be greatly appreciated
P.S love your videos wish you will make them more often

I have a 20 foot bayliner center console boat. I've been wanting to go to the East Bay, but i am afraid of water being shallow. how safe is it to go out there with my boat, and what areas do you recommend for a boat that size and a 125HP outboard. THANKS!

That’s one thing that’s hard about making a video when fishing with friends. I kind of just end up hanging out with friends instead of staying focused on video objective haha

@@KagenFishing yeah. For me it's even worse cause I conduct my channel in english but down here we speak spanish so it feels a bit awkward when I fish with friends haha
