Quite interesting workshop. I'm a teacher trainer, and i find your style quite engaging. It's learner centered and I think they got a great deal out of this. Where are you located? and what kind of teachers are they? (high school? or a binational center?)
Robert Valcin thank you ever so much for your kind words. I'm based in the U.K., Eastbourne to be precise. I teach English as a foreign language for a private school for language learners.
You have a brilliant approach, and if kids had teachers like you that are like the sun: bright, sunny and full of light, I'm sure the language learning approach worldwide would change to be joyful and positive!!
the most important thing when you teach young learner is to establish a good rapport especially at the first day of English in order to reduce students' affective filter. There is also tips of how to use different kind of drilling when you teach grammar for yl
1. Two minutes is not enough to discuss 6 questions. It's probably best to narrow your questions down to 3 and then make the font bigger. That way, more people can see the questions and have a higher quality warm-up discussion. 2. I notice you don't model the activities before the activities, which could be an important part of classroom management. 3. You introduce an activity about classroom layouts, but this video doesn't debrief anything about the activity. 4. It might be helpful to see more demonstrations of the "Keeping Noise to a Minimum" to give workshop participants more hands-on experience. As the saying goes, "You can't learn how to ride a bike by reading about it." 5. I thought the "10 ways to start a lesson" at 29:00 were quite useful and could probably be a larger part of the workshop. Overall, it appears participants got some useful tips out of the workshop. I think instead of some of the question rounds, you could incorporate one or two reflection activities to help participants connect workshop content with their own teaching contexts. Good luck with future workshops!
In the future, I would like to watch some training videos about teaching older students in grade 4 or 5 , what kind of activities work better for them ? And about grammar teaching and writing activities as well. Hope to learn more from you ! Thank you again.
Idk if you still reply to comments but I'm 17 rn and I'm planning to become a teacher when I'm more grown but I want to know what schools I should start with if I become a certified teacher (Elementary middle or high school)
I would suggest that you approach schools to see if you are able to get some work experience so you can learn more about which ages would suit you best. Good luck with your endeavours.
Rony Amer as mentioned in the description, all slides are available to view here: eltexperiences.com/top-tips-for-young-learner-teachers-teacher-training/ I hope this helps.

But when u got into activities for teaching kids. The questions u gave them are difficult
Can you explain what specific questions are difficult? I might be able to help after you provide a little more info. 😊
Can you send me acopy or slides about this workshop

How time flies! I’m not so young now. 😅
What advice would you give for anyone teaching young learners? Do you have any tips for teachers new to summer schools?
Great ideas! Here is a song that is great for the end of a zoom class! ruclips.net/video/SM7_690xar4/видео.html
