So basically for international students I just have to multiply those numbers(tuition fees)by like a 4 or 5😂😅 Thanks for this video tho...I was looking for this for a long time
I feel like I didn’t apply to enough places so now I’m stressing. People kept on telling to take certain schools out cuz there not that good. One of them was Guelph and now I’m regretting it. 😭
I wanna ask you guys which you will choose between mcmaster and Waterloo's software engineering, because I'm a international student,do not know local people think that which one is better
@@hofengli both are really nice if u want a life with your school like the perfect balance then McMaster is the one . Waterloo is one of the best but it really hard to manage stuff and u will rarely get free time for yourself
@@munamako9206 Definitely anything eng related, Waterloo is gonna be your best bet. I'm in civil and it's a great program no doubt, especially because of how good the co-op is in this school. But in terms of social life and stuff, that's where Mac is gonna be better lol.
Little bit of "ancient" history. Most Ontario Uni's instituted differential tuitions (International students pay more) in 1976. Mac deferred by one year. I (US student) dodged the bullet and graduated without having to pay extra. I think at the time, international students were paying 2x the Canadian rate. Still dirt cheap by US standards even back then. Well, I didn't luck out entirely. In my last year I had to pay 5% more because the Canadian dollar was higher than the US dollar. I made out like a bandit from 2002-2006 when my daughter went to, and cheered for, Western. At the time the exchange was $1.5 Canadian to $1 US. I think her differential rate was 2.5 the then Canadian tuition. Wound up paying half of what it would have cost to have her in a US uni.
Hey! So I’m basically seeking come advice and your video was eye opening, so I thought I’d ask. My top 3 program choices right now are Guelph Biomedical Science, uOttawa biomedical eng, or Mac eng. I ultimately want to pursue veterinary school, but I want to have something to fall back on in the event that I do not get in. I’ve talked to Mac eng students and they have told me that the course load will be too hectic with the 8 pre reqs for vet school, even if I extended my degree to 5 years. I’m currently leaning towards accepting biomedical science and Guelph and switching to Mac eng or uOttawa eng if I feel that my gpa does not look promising for vet school. I’d love to hear what you think, and whether you think it is possible to fit 8 pre req biology courses into an engineering schedule while getting at least a 3.5 gpa and having a solid social life?
I want to go to Mac for Engineering but I'm afraid I won't be able to get co-op positions or a job. Do Engineering students face these problems at Mac or do they easily get offers?
It’s not easy anywhere, but if you’re in Waterloo it’s much easier because their co op is much more established. Other than that there is no difference in the co op.
how is waterloo tuition over Ivey and queen's? wait nvm the Ivey and queen's people aren't in their respective business programs (Ivey and queen's commerce). queen's commerce is literally like the most expensive program in Canada lol
Waterloo tuition is more expensive than QComm. UW eng tuition is $8353/4 month term for all years, where as QComm is $8198/4 month term for years 1 and 2, then $7453/4 month term for years 3 and 4.
Jingru Zhang i have a close friend in ibio and from what I gather the workload is pretty much the same. They share 6 courses in common with us and they have the same total number of courses too
