Lowkey man Uoft been downhill since rona started man. Everyone before 02 has it bare lucky it’s so ass now. You don’t even know ur in uni and u havent even seen anyone at the uni it sucks yo.

I did a lot of researches and stuff now I found love for this school. I want to go to western university faculty of law. I already made up my mind and like next year I will apply after taking a gap year to earn some money despite the fact of a scholarship. I swear I love western so much and I haven't even started. The campus is beautiful, the residences are on par, the campus is very spacious and clean, the professors I heard were like the best ever and the social life is also the best. The academic rate is also very high. For an old school that was first established in 1878 as a place to wound soldiers it has developed so much. I hope I get in. As an international student this is now my first choice.
How does western university rank with regards to academics?.....plz make a list considering academics as well bcoz international students usually consider academics while selecting universities as it is a big decision for us financially.
Western generally is pretty good for academics, however what it’s known for and dominates is their business program. It provides connections to virtually any top finance/consulting program in the world
If you want to see good academic rankings in the meantime, Google Maclean’s and go to their university ranking section. I found them really helpful (they also have different rankings on different aspects too)
I'm a little late here, but the reason Peterborough doesn't have Uber is because city council is or used to be run by a cabal of taxi company owners, however it does have URide which is effectively the same thing but cheaper. The last comment about the campus is absolutely true though; late night walks through the campus were incredible
westerns focos are fucking insane too, same as McMaster, back in my first year (2016) hoco was moved to dissuade from partying so the students just held a foco on a late September early October weekend and had a hoco when the football game went down (late October). in the few years it's been running Broughdale has seen something like 20-25 thousand people roaming around on the street and going between the houses for the all day partying (well all day with a break at like 3 so that people can go get ready for the bar crawls at night) foco was mostly stopped in 2020 cause of covid which is a good thing but I doubt that the students will continue with the lack of street party once covid isn't a contender
Some of these schools (like the one you named) do have a lot of school spirit, however you can "party hard" where ever you go. Even uWaterloo, (which isn't known for social life at all) has its spots, you just need to find your friend group. Friend group is what determines your social life, not the school

McMaster is more diverse than Western but Western is also not bad. You'll fit in just fine. If there's one university that has pretty much zero diversity, it's Queens University. It's like all white people.
You are not alone. This year I plan on getting really high marks so I can hopefully transfer to guelph. I really should have researched the schools better, and now I fkn regret it. The sad part is that I acc had good enough marks to get in to guelph or western, but I didn't know anything about them.

Needs more police to protect students. The University of Winnipeg replaced their head of security with a cop and they have never been safer. Take notes, Ontario. More foot patrol and cameras to monitor students!
@@tachimichelle it’s all upto u, the student I think. U can be among the top for instance at some well reputed college and then transfer to UBC later. If you aren’t that into partying SFU is great. The world qs ranking of SFU is high, acceptance rate is high, very low gpa like 2. Something can also get it and the cost there is like half of UBC. One can also go there to earn some credits n then join UBC later.
I'm going to u of t for mechanical engineering and from what I can tell you can't really base your expected experiences on videos like this because most of the people in these videos are arts students and the programs and experiences are so different. Engineering is definitely going to be tougher in general but that's to be expected from every school. Also good to keep in mind that while you may have more fun at other schools U of T is said to produce the most employable grads
