For murderous girly- An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good. Very murdery. Extra points for extreme pettiness and complete lack of remorse. I can't think of recs for the others, but good luck with NaNo!

For "cannibalism/taboo eating", I would throw out Necroscope by Brian Lumley. It's horror/fantasy and horrific is putting it mildly. If someone can get through the first fifty pages without freaking out, they have my respect. It's the first book in a long series that just gets progressively more messed up as it goes. It's hard to explain without just going into massive details, but think the most bizarre vampires you can think of versus Harry Potter. Good luck with your writing, Jay!

For murderous girlies - 'how to kill men and get away with it', she was very OK with the murdering. 'How to kill your Family' was also a very fun read, but with a few pacing issues. And a personal favourite is 'Murder Your Employer' which is hogwarts for adults but with murder instead of magic!
From the hints your own book sounds fun, maybe a little scary and definitly epic!

Yes! I knew you would come through Amy! Oh my god I have to add Murder Your Employer on my Libby app immediately!

A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers is a mix of 1 and 3. Very interesting book. For number 3 it could also fit Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica although I haven't read that one yet.

A surprising number of ppl have come through with cannibalism-related recommendations. I weirdly thought that there would be less content available in that genre. That thought is kinda comforting lol
      thank you so much!

Check out Woman Eating by Claire Kohda. I read it last month for Shorty September. Interesting twist on the vampire scene.

Also, strong work on that video floating editing witchery that was definitely not an exercise in 'difficult to achieve'. 😂I am currently horizontal in recovering from the plague land and I have no new book recommendations for you as I send you everything with a murderous woman or cannibalism as soon as I finish it, so instead I am going to give you TBR book recommendations that include these themes from the last 5 days on endlessly watching booktube and falling asleep.
1 - Murderous Women: A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers - a novel about a female serial killer who is a food writer who BONUS also eats the men she kills. Come on.. where's my gold star? I want the gold star Jay. ⭐
2 - Enemies to Lovers: I think I actually second the first book of the mistborn series. It's definitely fine to read as a stand alone, nice satisfying ending. There is a spying romance & revolution underplot. Plus it's magicy and great and I've READ THIS ONE!
3 - Cannibalism: Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica - dystopia, all animal meat is poisonous so they eat people instead. Booktube says it is very dark. I'm not sure why they can't be vegetarian? Let me know, so curious.
4- Viva Revolution: Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah - dystopia America's private prison system has enacted a gladiator, hunger games style 'fight to the death' entertainment for it's inmates. Following two top women gladiators (and lovers) as they fight for freedom. Calls for revolution in book and for changes to our real world broken prison systems. Extremely violent?

      2. THANK YOU! As you know the editing Witchery was quite tedious 😂. You too could do it tho! We could be witches together!
      3. FEEL BETTER! Come back from plague land soon!

Yay! cheers for Nanowrimo - i'm going to go for it again this year too. I don't have any book recs for most but love the floating text for person 2 and person 1 on request 2. Fab editing skills. For the revolution request - have you read Daughters of Izdihar? it is book 1 so it just a lead up to a potential revolution but may help.
I'm so glad you're enjoying traveling and finding a way to explore your creativity. your book sounds intriguing!
I am so behind on preptober! I am on nanowrimo as pdxleo if you want to be buddies there.

Yes Leo! I will definitely add you! And no, I have not read Daughters of Izdihar -- I'll put it on the list immediately, that's gonna help a lot!
Traveling has been so cool. It's definitely the best thing I've done for my personal and creative growth
