Me: Is barely able to survive on the new home scenario without killing the 30 workers on mines This guy: Lightspeed isn’t enough. We’ll have to go at ludicrous speed!
People on normal campaing be like: "SHIT THE STORM! I CANT HEAR ANYTHING! People on this speedrun: Haha boss says that i do not need to work cause is cold and we have robots lmao.
2 years later and I have to thank you. Like so many others, I was struggling and restarted my game 20+ times. Combining the advice in this video with 1 other, I finally managed to get to Day 42, and although I didn't have as many resources as you, I still managed to survive the storm. The one thing I learned is that if you have all 8 tents built by midnight on Day 1, you won't need to turn on the generator until the night of Day 3, so you can actually stockpile even more coal... but building the Workshop 1st is imperative!
Man, watching these playthroughs before the some patches makes me thankful I waited a bit before playing this game. Seriously, the minimization shuffle y'all had to go through would have made me lose my mind.
Pretty cool, I manage to survive today for the first time on the 4th attempt! The first attempt I lost pretty quickly at around day 12~15, the second attempt the Londoners made me lose around day 24~26, the third attempt I lost to the final storm, it really got me by surprise, things were going so well! 😂 And today, on the fourth attempt, I did it, obviously worried from beginning to end! What an amazing feeling when you get that message "We have survived"! Pretty cool game!
Brilliantly done..smoothest run i've seen! Beautiful half stepping..luv the layout. Wonder what the range is for the boost on the child shelters..does it work like the fighting pits, towers, etc? Is getting that wall drill right away the ticket to solving your wood problems quick? Was glad to see you went for the depot upgrade fairly quick..most just gloss over that til half their map is storage..lol you could have built more and i probably would, but you seem to know how much you need to finish without having too much i suppose. The hunters can get sick and cold in the bitter so i would build a heating source for them too, but again that's me. Alot just send them home when the worst hits..dont know which is best. I was also wondering if putting in a cookhouse on both sides of the map would help with them getting ill due to having to walk so far to eat in the bitter cold..just another thought. Fabulous vid..thanks for posting..I learned TONS
You're right the ark is a very easy one, it should be done in an hour with time to spare imo, maybe it is a little more interesting than just the main story in speedrunning
Not my native language(english) but I will try to explain it. You need to have at least some knowlage of the game. From what i have been able to observe and what happened to me when I tried to replicate without those prebuild and road prebuilds is that he prebuild them with the roads so the houses later when he place them for good wont get bigger when they try to line up to the existing road. So he actually caps them to their perfect size
Hey, i saved 694 People and i think that might be because i gave a father rations for searching his daughter (he came back with her before the storm was at its peak). Does anyone know if there are more than 694 people that can be rescued or led to the city? Maybe there are 700 of them?
How do you have enough wood, to build so much in the first 2 days? Have they released a patch that nerfs resource gathering since this vid came out, because I can't seem to get anywhere near as much a you do in this vid?
I did ecactly as u did but i can never get the wall drill researched and placed by end of day two its always by midday third how did u get it so fast i dont understand
@@yawnyawn86I’d live a video done again on New Home with the new patch. I’m sure plenty of us would love to see it again. Unless you retired. Maybe a tutorial with commentary or captions explaining what you’re doing and why? That’d be neat.
They won't die if there is adequate heating source nearby and not outside. Research building has base 2 heating + he already had generator turned on in only -20C, so engineer did not die. IIRC its also more dangerous if its manual labour like working in mines or steelwork compared to just doing research since its just sitting warm in front of a table.
great run ! what happen if you don't click on pop up messages ? because it pauses your game and seems like a waste of time just to say "i see" or" that was the right thing to do" alsohow do you manage to run your first 24h shift without a death?
"Every 60 seconds in frostland, an automaton is made"

I would LOVE a play by play analysis on this... and other scenarios! Great run and fantastic layout

Every night, I come here. Fall asleap while watching this. Giving me an relaxation.
Been watching it every night for a week lol can't make it more than 30min in
Good Work, I'm always struggling with the "We didn't cross the Line." part. Good to see how i can improve myself after seeing thies!
Holy moly this is the best frostpunk gameplay ever. Watching this for the 5th time but ever get bored.
Finally i made it, thank you so much bro. it took me 3 hours to finish but it absolutely works.
Got frustrated with the game, watched gameplay video like this, feels excited again, repeat.
Yeah I can't stand having dead people in my city so i can relate

I know they're passed 4 YEARS when you played this but i hope you come back and give more!
Expecially now they made Frostpunk 2 XD

This is the best tactics for this game, i can say that. This game is too complicated for me and absolutely will try again.
I hope we see you in gdq or esa making this speedrun on live
Came here to try get some tips.
Never want to play again after looking at this lol

Could you please do more frostpunk speedrun. The arks and the refugee
You're right the ark is a very easy one, it should be done in an hour with time to spare imo, maybe it is a little more interesting than just the main story in speedrunning
This game is amazing and ur amazing man
More helpful than any tutorial
I respect you.
Why are a building tents in a weird pattern and then cancel it to do it normally each time you build a tent compound?
Not my native language(english) but I will try to explain it. You need to have at least some knowlage of the game. From what i have been able to observe and what happened to me when I tried to replicate without those prebuild and road prebuilds is that he prebuild them with the roads so the houses later when he place them for good wont get bigger when they try to line up to the existing road. So he actually caps them to their perfect size
So he can save on resources. Shrink the size means using little resources.
Commentary would be nice; it’s good to listen to audio while playing vida.
Very helpful thank you.
it's cold, so i turned off the AC
Хорош. Быстро и спланированно.
You put mic on but why don't you say anything to it? Btw nice speedrun
I hope we see you in agdq.
No steam hub or generator range upgrades blew my mind!
I mean... makes so much sense now...
that discord notification got me lol
look
a frostpunk run with less than 9 hours
Deathless? I counted 15 deaths, five to bears, and ten to Tesla Coils. =9[.]9=
29:43 my timestamp
God this is fast.

Wait, why didn't they go for generator range upgrade? Wouldn't that have helped?
cupcake kitten it takes 2x more coal and it is basically useless as he has those small generator heater thingys over the mAp
very very nice!

He did "fater gathering" as first research. Meybe because of this...
I did ecactly as u did but i can never get the wall drill researched and placed by end of day two its always by midday third how did u get it so fast i dont understand
Video was done on release patch. So some of the stuff might be outdated now.

Why the overdrive on the second day?
to pray for less people getting sick.
It was a very very nice run dude !!! And btw do we know what the technologies you've search until the end was ? Why keep going searching ?
That's bullshit everytime I use 24 hour shift for the first time 1 person always dies. Is this an earlier version? I got mine yesterday.
They dont die if they are working gathering jobs
They won't die if there is adequate heating source nearby and not outside. Research building has base 2 heating + he already had generator turned on in only -20C, so engineer did not die. 693 people?
man, this is the peace loving community u got......
great run !

iirc decrease hope and increase discontent
