- Today we are trying to survive 100 days in prison architect after we enable maximum difficulty by having a prison filled with only legendary prisoners and Gang wars meaning the prison is a constant thunder dome of chaos and prison escapes. Today we try to manage and build this prison for 100 legendary prisoners and well you can imagine the amount of problems we ran into in what is effectively surviving 100 days in hardcore prison architect.
So sit back and watch as the spiffing brit tests to see if Prison Architect is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits or if the infinite money exploit via going green energy is just another great way to show off a video game exploit in this incredible Tycoon game!!

I'd love to see you try this again but without dead people spontaneously combusting, I think the prison burning every time someone died just made it totally uncontrollable.
It was doomed from start :D Should have made smaller, more contained and well guarded sections.

This is the only game I've seen where Brit is surprised by the chaos of the game and not the game being surprised by his chaos.
It's pretty impressive that a warden and an accountant can run an electrical megacorporation with just the two of them :D

That's what I love about this game, it's supposed to be about simulating a prison, but you could make a corn farm, or an electricity farm, a death arena, or even a "mandatory hotel." You just do whatever the heck you want.
Mandatory Hotel is just Norwegian prison sentences lol.

i think the problem is that you ran a prison with legendary only prison with a normal prisioner architecture, you can put as many guards as you want it'll be a meat grinder

It's just like real life. Some people just don't understand how to live a normal life and end up in prison blaming everyone else but themselves.
You don't rob 700 banks and murder 100s of people to have a nice retirement, you do it because that's what you enjoy doing.

I consider two mods essential for prison architect. One adds transfer letters and one death row letters. I added them after I had a legendary prisoner kill guard because he couldn’t satisfy his needs,and he couldn’t satisfy his needs because he kept killing guards as soon as his punishment for killing a guard ended. He killed at least 10 guards when I gave him the death row letter.
Prisoners: "Killing all the guards and each other."
Also prisoners: "This prison isn't safe! I'm gonna sue you!"
Next challenge : *Surviving 100 days without exploiting CIV VI*

The real problem was letting them out of their cells at all. Sure, starvation becomes an issue, but given how tough these guys are, the death rate might have actually been lower.

should've done a shakedown AND THEN a lockdown just to keep prisoners in their cells. He also should've put more armed guards at the beginning along with more maximum security cells. I sound so fucking corrupt though XD

I can't really express how hilarious I find it that prison architect will let a playthrough just entirely change game types from tycoon to single player survival in the middle of the game. Does anyone know if you can get out on good behavior and resume your duties as warden?
Everyone talks about megacorps like Amazon and Microsoft, but everyone forgets SpiffCo, with prisons, islands, swords and sorcery, and post-apocalyptic wastelands!

Something to note: While legendary prisoners can be very aggressive, having an airlock style of entrance for the deliveries (such that there's always a door open) will prevent them from revolting nearly so often. So in summary: TheSpiffingBrit is a better businessman than a warden.
That would be a sally port, an air lock is generally closed at all times except when in use and one door wont open if the other is

It's kinda funny seeing Spiff *actually* attempt to play the game after the exploits. I know these prisoners are legendary but goddamn, that prison layout was awful, there were no patrols, no sniffer dogs, the doors on each cell weren't solitary doors, the prisoners had their own individual showers in spite of how they can all use them to escape, the individual contraband rooms weren't being properly monitored, no sprinklers even though everyone catches on fire when they die, no low sec vs high sec sector so that you can convince your prisoners to behave themselves by rewarding them, solitary confinement wasn't inside a building...
Really, everything there was doomed from the start, you can't brute force against prisoners who will punch your guards' heads off.
Thats what i was thinking. Needed more spacing and more perimeter lines, the critical infrastructure should have been farther, only armed guards and towers mainly on the bottom and top of the cell layout. Def should have been longer to avoid being close to edge of map. Cell blocks should have been more spacious and less populated since tight corriders and corners benefit legendary prisoners with instigator traits etc
And he forgot to turn freefire on😂
But he used the preset cell room which has the individual showers,so I am not sure is it a developer error or not.
Only has a white picket fence instead of a Perimeter Fence. tis why the prisoner got to the generator room
From what I've seen Spiff isn't actually that good at strategy games (or he doesn't care that much) but he's good at exploiting them.
