- About a year and half ago, the Busywild trail in Elbe Washington turned my FJ Cruiser into a totaled wreck... Well, I've rebuild the FJ, and now Busywild doesn't stand a chance! In this one I reflect back on my previous experience on this "trail" and demonstrate that Busywild isn't the unbeatable trail I once thought it was.

That trail fix was impressive, just a little welding no big deal right?🤣🙌
Man I've been looking forward to this video for a long time. Don't take this the wrong way but part of what made your channel great initially for me was the crazy solo missions.
I do more crazy don't worry! 😄
@@offroadhub.official yes,,im back..iiiiiff,, that jam, marmalade, goosberry, nut, is marine grade,,, should it not be stainless,,un weldable..unless tig,ed..ive look for jony joints, fab rats, cant find any.. who sells them. ta.. mate says, why do you want 42,s. it makes everything easier then you look for bigger stuff... he with 33,s. me with 35,s.. i said,,yes,it does.. id still like to try out tracks..
This is a great group adventure ❤
Really enjoyed the comparison video from light mod to heavily modded FJ. Well done, Ken!
Thanks! 👍
"A little bit more built now." Helluva understatement!
😆
Always feels good when you conquer what at one point had you beat. Nice redemption Ken.
I can get use to Waken and Baken to the new Sunday shows.
Thank you! 😉
Nice Ken! What a difference!
Mirrorless flexin on the BusyWild, Ken gets is dirty with a smile at trails end.
Great to see all the support as you give it another try! The one downward trench had me scratching my head, are ya to wide now, no such thing ! Great job great build Ken! Congrats!
She's a big girl on a narrow trail... 😄
Nice job Ken. Alittle idea is turn into the obstacles your trying to avoid body damage on and get the tires to climb them walls to lean the body away from the roots instead of climbing opposite wall that leans body to the roots saw your spotter telling you that just after you hit by the window. I know it seems counter productive but gets body leaning away great job again keep these videos coming
Great video Ken! Thanks for comparing to last time, it was really cool to see the difference! Well done!
Thank you!
I've been looking forward to this since the day you dropped the first video!!!!
Fun to come full circle, the original busy wild video was the first off road hub video I watched
My stock silverado 1500 did the whole sunrise trail with 33s no scratches or dents. Lol good job keep it up
@@noonanshane yes, most of Elbe is pretty simple, especially in the summer when it's dry. Try Busywild in January! 😃
awesome redemption! busy wild is by far my favorite trail in wa state! now try it backwards!!!
Not with a vehicle that has a body 😆
Fun seeing the THEN and NOW! Had a great time while you were here!!!
Bug and Joe
Thanks for the adventures!
Awesome to see that ride again
Just a little bit of a difference from a year and a half ago, lol. Good to see less damage this time, the 42's sure helped. Sadly the FJ is still very wide, the guys I wheel with are always yelling at me to "c'mon, get the Boler through there" lol. Thanks again for the awesome return adventure at the Busywild. Cheers.
Love it, so glad you made it back there
Your last year vid of you doing this trail is what made me sub! Glad to see you doing it again.
Thanks for coming along for the second time!
Gotta say u been living the dream lately by hitting all these awesome trails weekly. Keep up the fun brother.
Awesome vids man. You make it feel like we're right in the journey with you. Awesome content and long live the FJ!
Definitely made it look way easier this go around!!🤘🏼
So good to see you back there mate. Only watched the original vid on the weekend! Well done
Such an awesome video! As much as I want to do this trail in my new Jeep… I’ve wheeled long enough to know no way. Maybe one day I’ll have a vehicle I’m willing to slam on this trail, until then, I’ll be a mallcrawler when it comes to Busywild. Great video Ken!
Thank you! Yes, this trail is one you have to carefully consider. 😄
I live in Mineral Washington not to far from Elbe, love those trails.
Way to go Ken!! Big difference this time through. You owned that trail 🔥🔥
It was actually pretty fun this time!
btw that pathfinder at 20:11 is dope! cool to see people send it on budget rigs
Sending it for sure! 😄
Havent even gotten past the intro and i liked the video 🤘🏻. Im from longview, i love elbe so its awesome to see someone capture how crazy and different the pnw wheeling is!
Pnw wheeling is great!
Great video, Ken! You did such a great job on the build. It's great to see the successes!
Thank you. It really is very satisfying!
Great redemption run Ken! Wish I could have come along.
To do what you do is awesome! I seen you do this trail by yourself....amazing! I hope one day to join you for the next off road adventure.
That would be great! Thanks for watching!
It seems like you were determined to come back prepared to redeem your self, I get a feeling that this trail was the cause of the the fj build. I really like your videos, keep it up 👍🏽
I was determined. Busywild was just one inspiration. I think Sand Hollow was the biggest inspiration. I was tired of having to drive past trails and obstacles!
this is the video i have been waiting for!
First!
Also I have been waiting for you to retry this trail! Can't wait to see how you do.
13:15 I went through the same emotions as the spotter while watching this. "YO! uh... okay?"
😂😂😂👍 Juston is great.
Same for me. Solo missions on a mild build peak my interest. But still a nice vid.
❤❤awesome as always
Dude your FJ is easily the best looking FJ out right now.
Thank you!
You just got another subscriber that’s a nice fj you got
Thank you!
This is the trail that got me to subscribe. I got to see you destroy your FJ and not mine! Big fan out in west Idaho
I've put my FJ through a lot! 😄
I’m from ashford. The entire mt rainier areas so neat.
@alanluscombe8a553 yes! Very beautiful area!
@@offroadhub.official I remember as a teenager I had the bright idea of taking a four wheeler through the busy wild. I was so exhausted after the entire day of trying to drag that useless quad around
@@alanluscombe8a553 yikes! Fun memories 😄
Awesome video, Ken! Love the comparison and talking us through your runs. "By this point last time..." Wish we would've got the buggy break in on video. It was like 4 ft in the air!!
Thanks for your camera running! It was so great to have you on all the trails this trip!
Juston, were you the one driving the red jeep?
@@precisionrailingsolutions5609 Juston was the guy in my back seat with a dog. He rode along with me and did most of the camera work!
@@offroadhub.official that’s right. He has a white FJ and was riding with you on the busy and filming. Nice guy.
@@precisionrailingsolutions5609 naw me n Claes were riding with Ken and doing some amateur video!! 😂
I'm amazed at how this trail makes such big rigs look like RC cars??
Great video! Was hoping to see Bug take the Goat through with you but I think she made the right choice just walking it and having Joe ride with you! Pretty sure she would have got some body damage!!
It is highly likely! 😄 Thanks for watching!
Your first try at this trail is wybi subscribed.
Thank you! It was good to try it again!
Need some magnet mount mirrors for trail to trail travel. Might even find some that are cool enough to use as run around town mirrors!
I've been pondering easily removable mirrors.
I've got a samurai I've been on that trail on my quad befor love to try it in the samurai soon
happy sunday ken!
I like to see some damage and scratch on body...its mean that rig can go everywhere🤩🤩🤩
Woohoo been hoping this would be a do-over!
It has finally arrived! 😉
I think that I prefer dry southwest.
The first video looked more fun😂
It was a lot easier this time! 😄
The first time was more entertaining to say the least 😂
Totally different experience this time!
was that rambling roy?!
It was! 😄
@evergreen prospectors 🤣🤣
Now you have bigger wheels it is more accessible ❤
Was hoping to see the little dog get splashed with mud. 😉
She's a professional off road dog, she knows how to avoid the mud. 😄
Offroad Claes, "the little dog", doesn't wince at a little mud🐾
Great job Ken FJ did a lot better this time
In the Soup!
Did you do alder loop while you were at elbe?
I did. I was told that there were some really difficult parts to it, but I didn't find them. 🤔
If not the FJ, at least some other carnage happening, on the mother of all carnage trails.
What jack are you carrying if you get a flat?
I have a bottle jack/jack stands combination jack.
Looks like a really cool trail. I’m not even into mud. Do you know how these trails get so deep? Is it from forestry and off-roading?
It's just from years of big spinning tires digging them out! People run this in the other direction some times and that really digs it out.
That’s a lot of wheeling.
rain i think,at a gues, plus, spinning wheels dont help.. watch vids on our vic high country, & gunshot.. for a laugh, watch inskip beach...ausie fun..
Irok s are pretty good in mud and generally off-road
They seem to work pretty well!
@@offroadhub.officialWhat’s your thoughts on wear?
@@jaimerae4164 mine are the bias ply. They seem pretty soft. But I couldn't comment on how they would wear on the road since I don't use them in that way.
@@offroadhub.official Thanks for the feedback, 👍great content
Why does that red tube buggy have an extra 4 feet of nothing on the front end? Most guys would cut all that off for an approach angle.
No rig is ever done. Maybe it's in the long term plans. 🤷😄
What do you do for a living?
I own an automotive/Offroad shop in eastern Idaho.
@Offroad Hub ah gotcha gotcha 👌 have you ever seen an early 2000s durango come through there? ....random question, I know 😆
I just came across your channel while I was looking for spots in washington.. lastly, have you visited walker valley orv? If you do, I wanna know cause it's only an hour from me :) love your rig too man!!
@@kevinhaynes5120 yeah Walker is awesome! Hopefully back soon! I've worked on lots of Durangos. If you are wondering about something specific email me at offroadhub.official@gmail.com!

@@offroadhub.official badass 😎 thanks dude!!
Hi I was white xj guy 😂😂
I'm glad you made it through the trail despite your misfortune that day 👍😆
@@offroadhub.official yeah lost alternator tire and steering rods but shell be back out soon enough haha i wasn't expecting to run the busy that day!
You all have completely normal vehicles and are going over completely normal terrain. You are absolutely not all a bunch of lunatics. lol (written by someone with a 3" lifted FJ on 33s)
😂 Thanks for watching!
Pimp my ride
😂👍
Body damage is gonna occur when your trail riding. If ya don’t want the damage then do easier trails or make your ride a pavement princess
Busywild and other difficult pnw trails are especially risky for body damage!
Haha fuck you busywild! Nice job man. Easily my favorite FJ rebuild I've seen, shit looks mean.
It was great to go back and handle the trail relatively easily! 😉
@@offroadhub.official Do you guys have a FB group or somethin
@@blakejones917 yes, a Facebook group called Offroad Hub!

I have not seen you in my feed for a long time. But the first video I watched was you doing this trail. With a messed up arm or hand or something.
I'm glad you found me again! I only messed up my vehicle last time, my arms and hands were fine. 😄
