- The corvette is basically stock aside from BC Racing coilovers and a NRG steering wheel. I wanted to wait until I at least had an e-brake to do a drift event, but I last minute decided to go do one as is. It actually did pretty good!

I know of a guy that used to Rally a vette before they changed the fiberglass car rule. I think 2003/2004 100AW rally is what years it was. The guy actually did great for a car that was never intended for gravel. I think it was an early 70s one! Rock on for doing your thing.. YOUR way! haha

3) It would be cool to have like a white stripe on the centred position of the steering wheel, because on a complete black wheel, its hard to see what your doing (let loose and grab, for example).

I predict some power steering issues to make it into that list soon. A bigger pulley to ease cavitation and a large stacked plate cooler will help a stock pump, but ultimately you may want to take a look at KRC. The stock pump wasn't designed for prolonged duration above 5k rpm.

I was doubting the DriftVette buts it's totally working! You probably need to adjust the Ackerman in the front wheels a bit! I haven't seen you play with the PSI on front tires to adjust grip / slip either..? But other than that it's looking great! Videos are editing well too! Keep it up!

I really liked the amount of footage, long videos are nicer to watch in my opinion. I'm really happy that you're enjoying the solidarity of the Corvette. I think a well built, extra tight fitting cage should come first, then seat, and e brake together. then angle mods just because of the fact that you're able to manage as is with the stock angle. and having the cage/seat/e-brake will allow for more "usage" of the car as far as about of activities.... if that even makes sense. "Grippy and loose at the same time". Keep your yaw rate and wheel angle in mind, don't blip the throttle if you can feather it. It's very responsive and free-rolling with a lot of front grip (until you rotate beyond your steering lock and both wheels slip angles increase). One upside is, midcorner steering won't affect your line as much as overall momentum and throttle. This means it is possible to hold higher average angles with more precision and safety (you can change your line and modulate your angle through a corner right near full lock mostly with the gas). You'll get used to it.

If you cant drift with 100hp, you cant drift with 1000
Full Tilt Drift That's not true...
Drifting with 100 hp is way harder than drifting with 300 hp.
That's because if you have more hp you can initiate oversteer just with the gas pedal. If your car has only 100 hp you have to be able to properly control weight transfer to get the car sideways, which is harder...
Its harder for a reason. The point of this quote is that with a ton of hp, you can floor it and start sliding easily. But someone who doesnt have enough car control to weight transfer in the first place, like with a 100hp car, Is going to stuff it into a wall or other drivers. Or at the very least be all over the track uncontrollably.
I laid a mean slide in my 240sx with 300k on the engine, running on only 3 cylinders. Car control is all you need.
awesome job drifting the Corvette I've seen many people try to drift in Corvettes and they can't all they do is initiate it looks like it's going great and then bam into a tight donut/spinout. 👍👍
