I cried - you had me in tears. It's not just music. It's emotion, raw emotion. First I listened to your the Genesis medley, then Hemispheres and now this. A child of the 70's, this was a special era for me, when prog and Genesis had real depth. Lost my first love and listened to 2112 endlessly in '86. Saw Marillion at Milton Keynes Bowl. Now if you can pull Marillion off and sing like Fish, I'll have your babies... well I'm a bloke - so maybe not. You are truely awesome. Wow.
I think I saw you at Milton Keynes( great day) ... My mom did me some sandwiches and my mates pinched them and threw them at Gary Moore ( RIP ) not because we don,t love him but his roadies said not to throw **** all at the stage !!!! Ps Marillion brilliant ...Tull superb even Magnum were great that day....
yah tears of joy and a little sorrow but that is makes you human. If you feel pain joy you are in a better place...................than who cant. Uhh empathy I guess.
Phil, Tony, Mike, Steve... everyone of us (your fans) are just waiting for you to thank Antoine for this tremendous tribute. Simply as an act of justice.
Antoine...you are killing me man!! I've seen this played live by Mr. Steve Hackett and this is an exceptional interpretation. Only wish it could have continued into Afterglow...subscribed and shared
Ok I've got to stop. That's four straight listens and just lovin' it every time. I'm an incurable dedicated Genesis fan from start til finish for a good 40 years and this is really REALLY enjoyable. Thank you!!
Unreal - Found the Rush medley video earlier now this - just unreal. Genesis was amazing - one of the most underrated bands in music and one of the reasons I became a musician. I wish there were bands like this today.... we were blessed to have what we had to inspire us - we were spoiled for sure.
LOL
So much ability in one guy. Life isn’t fair! Not wanting to repeat the great comments below, so I’ll just say this has made my day so much better. For that I’m grateful.
3:03 I have LONGED to hear someone give that section the gain it desperately deserves. This and "Unquiet Slumbers..." are two of my favorite Genesis pieces. You did this so well, it's clearly your own version but gloriously true to the original too. Totally love this, thank you for sharing your performance of this wonderful music!
You took me back in time, man...I actually bought the original vinyl in 77 (I was a teenager). Love this piece of music, a classic. It's been good to hear it once again. Nice work!
Hey Antoine - just saw you drumming for Musical Box at The Keswick on Friday and Saturday! You were amazing - the shows were fantastic - very honored to get to say hi and shake your hand. Best of luck on the rest of the tour - the lads and fans are so lucky to have you on board. I hope there are many more just like you living on whatever planet you are visiting us from. #nothuman
Fantastic stuff, great rendition of one of my favourite Genesis tracks. Very jealous of your talent - I have several guitars, an Imac with Logic, a bass and even a midi keyboard...why can't I do this? :-)
OMG that is just awesome - Genesis is the reason I became a keyboard player upon hearing One For The Vine and the crazy instrumental breakdown in the middle. I really love watching your "one man" Genesis and Rush videos, they're an education. This one also demonstrates that Tony Banks was an utter shredder on the synths too LOL. Thank you!
Firstly, this is utterly amazing. Thank you so much for keeping Genesis alive. A secondly, I see some of the great comments below - it is so good that the online Genesis community is alive and well. This music has been my life for 40 years and I never, ever tire of it.
My God, man...I am speechless. Not something I am capable of. You are just out there buddy. That is the greatest compliment I could give. Chick corea, Dave Weckl, Tom Kennedy and Happy The Man, are the only other in my book that are very out there and inhuman. You are at the top of my list, Sir.
OMG - man, your're talents are awesome. Respect. I never saw someone, who plays all instrument in perfection, technique and with emotion like you. You are admirable. For me as a fan of Genesis since I was 17 it's a pleasure to see and hear you. Keep up your great work.
Another excellent rendition! Genesis (1969-1980) are my favourite band and you certainly do them justice with your version, I even like those odd little guitar licks you throw in! Well done mate!
Have been enjoying the Genesis and Yes - One Man Band for the last couple of days...You are nailing it every time..Antoine, you have an extraordinary talent and level of focus..Thanks so much for posting!
This song always seemed to me an enigmatic item of super prog-rock of all times. Thanks 👏👏😊😊 to this talent musician for remind me that. Congratulatins antoine.
Brilliant ! I think the drum part is what amazes me the most. The short really heavy part at 3:15 is less close to the original, and this is when we guess you like extreme metal, but nevermind ! ;) Congratulations (again), Antoine
You, sir, are AMAZING!! Simply stupendous work! Genesis and Rush are all I've seen so far, but, they are brilliantly done! I can't use enough exclamation points to let you know how much I enjoy your works! Thank you.
Again, totally awesome to see and hear! An all time fave of mine very tastefully remade! Has a nice augmented heaviness to it that I love! Excellent rendition!
Genesis laid the foundation for future acts to follow in their footsteps. This guy Antonine Baril is exceptional and I have loved all of his renditions to date. Keep it up from a massive follower of G2 and Steve Hackett. Oh and I have been quite into Mama who I saw recently.
SIMPLY FANTASTIC ! BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL ! He brought me back to june 1977, whe I saw the Wind and Wuthering concert live in Earls Court. Thanks Antoine !
That was amazing, totally blown away! I saw them in 1986 at Giants Stadium on the Invisible Touch tour. They played this whole suite into Afterglow. I think I was the only one in the stadium that knew what it was :)
man I just found this and 1 man genesis.............and WOW you are a freaking monster !!!! It is 1 am in the US and I will not sleep until I can find rest of your vids. It is all perfection congrats
Dude, I had business ties with Tony Smith (Genesis Manager) and attended many, many Genesis shows and rehearsals. What your doing here is OFF THE CHARTS. I mean there aren’t that many guys like Daryl Stuermer who are proficient at guitar and bass (think about it). And you’re covering all the string parts, keyboard, and DRUMS???? And not just doing it, but doing it well? Freakish. Do they know about you? If they were still touring I’d tell Tony to put you on retainer. Hell, if you subbed in for one show it would pay 10X dividends. Amazing work. Thank you and hope you’re prosperous and happy.
My-fuc..ng-God!! You are really gifted in music, and you embraced the music of XX century that no doubt will be the heritage to the future generations!!
Wow.. at 3:04 is one of my favorite keyboard solos ever --- and you make it sound great on guitar... (I always thought of it as Tony trying to snarl like a metal soloist...)
I wonder if Genesis are aware that you play this better than they do? Were they mad, or jealous? :D Love the metal treatments you work in there, esp. 3:05 on. Your approach is not the typical Genesis fan path, it makes me rethink this music now! Great stuff, subscribed and shared. Cheers!
+Robert Rushton totaly I agree...Usually the Genesis cover were more or less copy on . But Anoine do other perpective as like metal stuff. A diferent side to many people does here un YT. I hope Many more would do in the future
Robert Rushton he is good ain't no denying ,but its a bit like vim fuago said , "Jimmy page wrote stairway to heaven when he was 25 ,I could play it when I was 14 ,now who's the best"
This is why I love Genesis, who needs vocals when the music says it all.
I cried - you had me in tears. It's not just music. It's emotion, raw emotion. First I listened to your the Genesis medley, then Hemispheres and now this. These blokes are good - funny how they all look alike!
trevor owen It’s really uncanny, that, innit?
They are clones. Each designed with his own skillset. Imagine how fun jamming would be.
Must be some deepfake.
Genesis... one of the best rock band of all times and my fave! Bravo, Antoine!
For me , the best .
From France. 😃😃😃
Agreed @@jeff-bg2fn
Antoine...you are killing me man!! I've seen this played live by Mr. Steve Hackett and this is an exceptional interpretation. Only wish it could have continued into Afterglow...subscribed and shared
Mad skills and the best band to tribute. Outstanding!
Ok I've got to stop. That's four straight listens and just lovin' it every time. I'm an incurable dedicated Genesis fan from start til finish for a good 40 years and this is really REALLY enjoyable. Thank you!!

Neal Morse Band
Suppose you’re familiar with porcupine tree
The amount of time and talent it took to produce these video's is a work of art and passion........well done my friend and I thank you
! UN SACRÉ MUSICIEN ! 👍🤟😉🙂👋✌❣🇧🇪
He also does One Man Genesis on RUclips, check it out. Greetings from California.
The wizard of multiple musical instruments and a great guy.
A modern version of a timeless classic. Somehow, the modern sound is so appropriate for this song. Well done, Antoine!
I was going put a like to this, but it was already done. Count it double, man.
Take a bow sir, you smashed it amazing performance , i would pay to watch you. Brilliant
I’m a Genesis fan since 1976, and that was frickin’ awesome. Fantastic talent!
Ca envoie du lourd !!! Magnifique reprise, très "métal" en plus ! Belle découverte, bravo !
I've always loved the transition at 3:03. It sounds so raw and nasty!!!
Me too. Tony and Steve transitioning from major chords to nasty minor 9th takes you on a journey.
T'es un boss mon Antoine! Secondaire 3 pour moi. C'était mon 3e album de Genesis après TOTT et SEBTP. Facile d'être un fan pour la vie après cela. Concert au parc Jarry en secondaire 4 je crois. LOL

Not wanting to repeat the great comments below, so I’ll just say this has made my day so much better.
For that I’m grateful.
@TheHacketteer Thanks a lot for your comment! My main instrument is the drums
This is astonishing. Antoine Baril--you interpret this music as well as anyone who's ever done it. Thank you.
3:03
I have LONGED to hear someone give that section the gain it desperately deserves.

Heavy duty version for sure :) Excellently done! Especially the hardest part - drums :)
Love love love the guitar work in the second part. Not often you headbang to Genesis!
Magnificent one man performance! You are the bomb!
You took me back in time, man...I actually bought the original vinyl in 77 (I was a teenager). Love this piece of music, a classic. It's been good to hear it once again. Nice work!
Me too bro. Then went backwards and discovered all the incredible songs before!
A great musician makes it look easy, Bravo.

This is amazing! One of the greatest Genesis songs and you are doing it so perfectly!
Wow, actually brings tears to my eyes when I listen to this, thanks for giving the music new life!
"In that Quiet Earth" always reminded me of the TV series theme, "In Search Of" - hosted by Leonard Nimoy...
Myths and monsters, missing persons...
Bravo Antoine! You can really see what Steve Hackett brought to Genesis in this piece. And the drums......very nice.
Awesome!! Congrats, Antoine!

Blown away! I listened to the entire post. Thank you!
You, sir, are AMAZING!! Simply stupendous work! Genesis and Rush are all I've seen so far, but, they are brilliantly done! I can't use enough exclamation points to let you know how much I enjoy your works! Thank you.
Great appreciation to your talent. Awesome, especially extended guitar solo!
Again, totally awesome to see and hear! An all time fave of mine very tastefully remade! Has a nice augmented heaviness to it that I love! Excellent rendition!
Incredible... solid on all instruments. Very impressive!
I love hearing this with a bit more distortion than usual.
Genesis laid the foundation for future acts to follow in their footsteps. This guy Antonine Baril is exceptional and I have loved all of his renditions to date. Keep it up from a massive follower of G2 and Steve Hackett. Oh and I have been quite into Mama who I saw recently.
Putting that metal kiss on Steve Hackett's guitar parts is just so sweet...pardon me while I recover from the shivers!
SIMPLY FANTASTIC ! BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL ! He brought me back to june 1977, whe I saw the Wind and Wuthering concert live in Earls Court. Thanks Antoine !
Booooah what a great piece of musical art. Thanks for your work, the effort and sharing with the (Genesis) world.
I was multitasking listening to this with headphones and in my mind went right into afterglow, the last way I heard it live. lol Great job again.
Fantastic cover Antoine, loving the rocky edge you have given in your version and boy you are some musician, more please
Just masterful. Thank you so much.
I love your work. Thanks for posting this. I know this takes a lot of work. Great job.
That was amazing, totally blown away! I saw them in 1986 at Giants Stadium on the Invisible Touch tour. They played this whole suite into Afterglow. I think I was the only one in the stadium that knew what it was :)

Wow.. at 3:04 is one of my favorite keyboard solos ever --- and you make it sound great on guitar... (I always thought of it as Tony trying to snarl like a metal soloist...)
I always felt this piece was a predecessor of metal - you took it all the way! Nicely done!
Stunning. Speechless. Wonderful.

i am totally blown away god bless you are a genius
Again, absolutely brilliant! Looking forward to discovering my of your work. 👍
This is just brilliant. Love the groove in the second half, reminds me of the medley on the mama tour.
You killed it on 3/23 in Glenside with The Musical Box! Well done, man!
You did what all past drummers have been trying to do in TMB...Please stay on!
Cheers!
Thanks a lot! :)
Ishka Bibble no its not better than genesis , what a silly thing to say

Meraviglioso!!!! Bravissimo !!!!
Epic! My god, you made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I am highly impressed. Beautiful cover of a very difficult song.
Fabulous performance.
I like it even better than the original which I love. This guy is very talented.
Yes this elevates the original!
Man, you just breathed new live into my long forgotten Genesis adoration.. but your versions are better! Keep rocking dude!
Excellent and impressive version, Great job as a fan of Genesis since early steps (1970 I would say ) I'm pleased to discover your talent :-)
Very nice. Awesome!! Saw them in the mid eighties at the Capitol center'
Hey, I wish I could play one instrument at least half as good as you do for so many different ones...really impressive!!!
Truly stunning. Bravo.
Fading Lights ? one of these days... (One of the best genesis song to me ) ! GREAT JOB MAN !!
Wow!! You nailed this. I thought I was listening to early Genesis. Good show.
