Hi Elise. I just had a thought: please make sure you get double windows (with good space between the two panels, a few inches) on your skylight because if you get only a single glass panel, you will cook in that living room area during the summer. The space between the two panels will act as a buffer against the heat and also humidity.
I just wanted to put it out there because of personal experience. Keep my story in mind please.

I noticed that I am not the only older lady LOVING your channel! I'm 73 and from USA. I love to watch you because you are like I have always been. Making things over, choosing fun clothes, matching prints, vintage and antique LOVE, and you are CREATIVE! Also, you are a homemaker and not ashamed of it and you are BEAUTIFUL! Your success at such a young age and all on your own is such an inspiration to other young women. I love to watch what you cook, too. Today I tried your chickpeas and broccoli bake as best as I could imitate yours. It was delicious and I would never have thought to cook broccoli. It's not always the case, but that table looks so much better painted, and you chose such a pretty shade of blue - what a sweet spot to sit while you wait for the water to boil, or to write your grocery list. Your little shelf with the rail is a great excuse to buy some pretty vintage platters 😉

Thank you for moving your rug. Now I can stop worrying... lol. Voice of experience - deep red paint on a cream colored rug (even with plastic down). Learn from other people's lives . It saves a lot of time and hassle and clean up. Loving what you are doing in your kitchen! Keep on keeping on 🥰

You could always get a nonslip pad to go under the rug to make it feel thicker and softer. I love the blue one in the kitchen though it goes really well with the chair and little table. And now that whole corner looks really cute with the shelf and decorations. Good job.
That's a great idea. I have non-slip pads under all my rugs. Keeps it warmer too with all these cold wood floors.

no, that would look cheesy and outdated. The green fabric edge of the chair pad is throwing the whole color theme off. Maybe she can paint the edge if the cushion a different color.

I did look at some of the recipes, but I couldn't find one I thought was as pretty as a painting, so art won hehe ☺☺

I’m 73, retired. Very much enjoy your videos. I have had whatever this bug is since before Christmas. I’m doing well except for that last bit of a ticking in my throat and raspy cough. I have faith we will be just fine.

Hi Elise, lovely video. The only thing I wouldn't have added is the last painting as it's positioned too low, in my opinion. I would have put something smaller or nothing at all, but it's just a personal preference 😊 you will find the right lamp, sometimes is better to just wait for the right opportunity ❤

You are lucky to have Woodpigeons in your garden, they tend to like living int he country side . I have two as well and their family, I feed them crushed up nuts they love them and some seeds. Wood pigeons have such friendly and funny personalities.

A little advice from (a contractors ex-wife, who did lots of construction work) before you paint if you caulk the seams first and run your wet finger down the bead of the caulk, a sponge and bucket of water makes it easy (& let dry) you will not get those cracks later on.
It gives it a smooth nice clean finished look. 😉 ✌️💜
