This week I'm showing you my embarrassing secret messy moving room, which I had a tendency to just put stuff into under my moving process, when I didn't know whereelse to put something. So it's a messss and it's full of stuff I'd almost forgotten I owned. Don't judge me, I think we all have a messy something in our house, right?

Omg no one is going to judge you. Most people have a room or garage just like that or worse. If it bothers someone just delete them. You don’t need nor deserve negative vibes!!! Hugs from NY
Hugs from Ireland ❤❤❤
Do you even live in a house if you don't have somewhere messy? Yes some people live in ultra tidy spaces, but that's not me.
To me that isn’t even messy!!!!! I’m gonna try the potato pizza! I have never heard of one!❤
Mine is a closet, I clear it out every once in awhile but it just fills up again
I was expecting a hurricane in a room and when she opened the door I was, that’s a minimalist’s mess. It still looked tidy!
Please Elise be happy to be 30 and in good health. I am 64 and when I was 30 I was in the time of caring a big cancer. So be very happy please, 30 is not the end of your nice life. It’s a new lovely life in front of you ;-) Love from France.
Elise, you so often have some disclaimer about your videos, but honestly, I just love hanging out with you on your ordinary days. You capture so much beauty in every video. Please don't be so hard on yourself.
Elise, instead of buying another mat for your living room exit/entrance please consider using your new laundry room as a ‘mud room’ as we do in America. You can keep your overalls on a hook and your outdoor shoes neatly separated from your living quarters.
What to try in your veggie patch:- Swiss chard, beetroot, scallions (I buy the scallions/onions from the supermarket, cut off the root-base with two centimetres to spare, then use the scallion in your cooking, push the root base into the ground . . . onions for free!).
I was about to suggest onions or leeks.
I am now forever going to use “Singing on the last verse” I LOVE that! I love hearing translated phrases! ❤️
I just said the same thing. 😊
hehe in Danish it'd be "De synger på sidste vers" 🥰
That is so awesome!!! I love it!!
The 30’s are EXCELLENT! You will LOVE this new decade and laugh at your old worries. Promise!!
I love your authenticity, it is SO hard to find!! Your videos bring a little peace of calm to the madness of life 😉 Thank youuu!!❤
Thank you so much, really happy to read that you enjoy it 🥰🥰
Elise your painting is pretty good actually. You see the beauty in everyday things and it comes through. I would hang it on the wall. There is a Canadian folk artist named Maud Lewis whose art work you might like. Your picture reminds me a bit of her paintings. Maud was very poor. She didn’t have money to buy expensive canvases, so she used what she had, painting on every surface she could find. She even painted pictures on her tiny house, inside and out. The Canadian government eventually lifted the whole little house up and put it inside a museum where it will be preserved as a work of art. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you about her because she too, had an eye for beauty.
I love how you wear your nicest clothes to clean a utility room.
hehe 🥰Asthetic to the fingertips.
Continue painting as you do, your paintings have a lot of personality and character. In my life, I’ve seen many paintings which were “technically perfect” but which had no soul. The way you are painting is exactly how it should be, it’s beautiful!
Your messy laundry room is not that messy, I have seen worse.
Thank you so much! 🥰
@@EliseBuch You are welcome 😊
The 30’s and 40’s are a fabulous time! 💖🤩
So nice Elise. You have done a wonderful job of everything you set your sights on. Moreover, you are an inspiration to us all. I am 70 and disabled and love to enjoy how you inspire me to do such beautiful things in the house and garden. Love & hugs xxx
Thank you so much for watching, I'm glad you enjoy my work 🥰🥰
You could use the laundry room as a "dirt room" to enter the garden from. So you don't bring dirt into your living room and you can place your garden shoes in the laundry room etc ❤❤
You re so young and look at everything you have already created. You have made an online and an offline career for yourself and own a house. 🎉
Have you planted spring peas? A plate garden...potato, carrots & pea pods.
Don't be ashamed darling. I'm a tidy, organized person.
I had a room worse than that for two years when I moved in my house.
When friends would tell me how perfect I am (LOL) I would show them the the MacGee closet.
If you don't know what that is, look up old radio shows. Fibber Mcgee and Molly.
You are one of my angels in life who always puts A smile on my face and in my heart.
aww thank you so much and thank you for watching my work 🥰🥰
Hi Elise. You could try planting courgettes- they are easy to grow and can be used in so many dishes. Do you have a garden shed? You could make sure it’s 100% weatherproof and then you can store so many things in it. They are expensive but for someone who loves their beautiful garden, a shed is a real asset. All the best of luck with the skylight and many happy birthday wishes.Take care 💖🌸
Sweet Elise, I was getting migraines before "Gertrude" came to visit every month. It started at the age of 27 and eventually I HAD to get medication due to lasting 7 days, each time. All hormone related for me. Please take care of yourself as I understand how debilitating they can be. Your love of beauty and nature is one the loveliest things to share, thank you for being who you are luv. Blessings XO
Elise I hope you’re feeling better now.
I’m so excited to see those skylights!!!!!!!
See you next week.
Love from NC 🇺🇸
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I hope you have a wonderful week with a house full of flowers and sunshine from your skylight. I hope you feel better.
Thaanks 🥰
Never have carrots without a row of onions right beside! 🙂The onions prevent carrots from getting eaten by worms. Onions do not need much space, so you also would have much left for some garlic and maybe parsley and celery if you like it.
Carrots grow and ripe fast - if you sow them early and harvest them in summer, you always can sow another amount of carrots and harvest again in winter. Carrots stand frost without problems and stay fresh in frosty soil until you use them. So you can have some "winter carrots", too, by using that space twice. 🙂
I really love your videos, each one is a little celebration when it is online on the weekend. I always enjoy it with a big cup of coffee and sometimes have a bread or cake in the oven while watching it. Each one feels so calming, art- und beautiful but also so very inspiring to get shit done, haha!
Don`t mind your little caos room! 😀It is not as bad if one can declutter and clean it in one or two days - there are secret rooms in this world which would need weeks! ;-)
Migrane, period and potatoe pizza - the way you explained it was so adorable! Greetings from Germany!
Are you kidding me, that's not even a room I would judge as messy. Good God,, I've seen so much worse!!!! You certainly don't have to be ashamed of that. Actually that's a great laundry room🌺 love your videos, so enjoyable, and can't wait to see your garden in bloom🌹❤
In English we would say, they are on their last legs. I enjoyed this video. Can't wait to see the skylight going in. Have a wonderful weekend ❤
I love your painting! You are a natural artist!
aww thank you so much! 🥰
Everything you touch turns to gold. You have incredible taste. Thirty is not old but another learning phase to make every day count. Your laundry is much more functional now you have cleaned it up. I have an empty cupboard shell with pipes exposed where the hot water system was now with heat pump hot water system outside. Eventually will turn it into a broom & vacuum cleaner cupboard but can’t afford the carpenter yet.
That fluffy coat would look gorgeous with a strapless fancy gown or with wide-legged jeans and platform shoes! Your painting is beautiful....very well done! You have so many talents! I hope you feel better soon!
Bless this Mess! Proof you are human.
Parsley is very easy to grow, mint too, sellery, kale, andive, salad
You have done so much at 30, own a business and a house, not many at 30 have accomplished similar things. Keep going, you are unique, hard working and talented.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Hi Elise, Turning 30 is what I call the great squeeze. When women turn 30 we get squeezed, some focus and mature and others revert back to their 20's. I believe you will be just fine, due to your wonderful positive personality and tenacity. If you don't drop a video by May 2nd I want to wish you the happiest of Birthdays, from one May baby to another (my birthday is May 1st). Take care and stay lovely my dear.
Cherry tomatoes and peppers
Thanks for the video, Elise! I am a fervent follower of your channel but I don't usually write comments. Today is a kind of an exception - you can plant different kinds of lettuce, cucumbers, radishes, green beans - these are plants that are not hard to grow and you will see for yourself which plants grow the best in your garden and you like the most. Your garden is wonderful even now when it is still rainy and the weather is not nice. You are a wonderful person - creative, intelligent, hard-working, and you should be proud of yourself, of all your achievements so far. And when something saddens you or worries you, just tell yourself "There is time for everything." I wish you lots of luck and keep following your dreams! And don't skip a meal :) Regards from Canada!
Thaank you so much! I grew lettuce by my cottage but it was so attacked by snails, it might just have been bad luck 🥰
Very Happy Birthday to you Elise!!!
It’s early, but I wanted to be sure I got it in 🥳🎂😁🤗🥰
You're going to absolutely love your skylights! Not just for the light they let in, but also for how soothing it is to listen to the rain falling on them and to just gaze at the sky. When we bought our house last year, skylights were way up high on our wish list.
Speaking of wishes... I'll wish you a very happy birthday now for next Thursday! Also wishing you continued success and much happiness in the year ahead. 🧡🤎
Thank you so so much! I'm soooo excited about the skylights, I'm sure they'll bring me sooo much joy 🥰
You could plant onions. You did a good job of sorting, planting, cleaning, and painting. Your canvas is very good! 😊 I can’t wait to see the skylight!
You laundry room is a great space ideal for storage, overflow. It is a work in progress it is a lovely addition to your beautiful home. Your painting is very pretty. Good luck with the work on your sky light.
Since you asked about your garden -- fresh mint (and other herbs)! You can have it all summer long in your drinks, most animals and insects hate it, and herbs truly grow themselves. Plus the added benefit of having fresh herbs to cook with. You could even move them inside to grow during winter. Careful though because mint will take over if you let it.
Definetly put mint in a pot.
You could try growing onions 🧅 we all have a messy room , we have to have something to keep us busy 😆 I do agree with you about the pipes and cupboard, how about shelving instead ? I absolutely love that dress on you it’s beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend Elise ❤
I'm so glad you kept the green with polka dots dress! It's so lovely and you look adorable in it! I remember wearing dresses just like that in the 1960-70s when I was your age. 30 is a great decade! I know you'll embrace it and continue to do creative and wonderful things!
Beets radishes or courgettes would be good fir the veg patch ...the cut flowers ❤ so vibrant
Elise, my how time flies! It seems like just yesterday you were talking about turning 29! Don't fret too much about what was your messy laundry room. You are young and single and haven't had as much time to accumulate junk. If you had kids and a husband who is OCD (mine was a "pack rat" until I had to really lay down the house rules), then things could be much different!
I wish I could as sitting in your cozy, beautiful living room having a coffee with you and talking and talking!
Thanks for another lovely video, Elise! I LOVE your painting!! You have really grown in your painting skills! 😀 I hope you will display this latest painting somewhere in your home - it is delightful!!
Good luck with the Big Skylight Project!!! 😀❤⭐
I just love that you are doing your spring cleaning. I did mine yesterday…whew! I have slowly been using up every version of cleaning supply and narrowing down my spending on bodywash, cleaning supplies, lotions, skincare and makeup and hair products. It feels so good to have only what I really need. I don’t have an oven just a two burner electric stove top and a counter top small oven. I do just fine. Your pizza looks so yummy ❤🍕 My Dad used to grow lots of zucchini when I was a kid, zucchini bread, zucchini casserole, zucchini in salads. Needless to say it’s one of my favs lol 😂 I’m going to be 60 next week 🥴 where did the time go. Happy pre-birthday I wish you lots of new subscriber’s so you can make bags of money to do all of your home projects. I know how much you love working on your cute home 🏡🌹
I think everyone has a messy corner somewhere. I didn't think it was too bad. Glad you feel better after cleaning it. You look amazing in the cute red and white one piece. Have a great week.
I think it’s good to have a messy room or at least a place you can put those things that don’t really have a place to live. Mine is my basement, which I too need to tackle. So definitely no judgement here. I have a suggestion for your 9 pillows. If you want to keep them all but don’t use them often you could get vacuum bags off somewhere like Amazon. You can compress all the air out of the bag which should then be thin enough to put under your bed or somewhere like that. Can’t wait to see the skylights in!! ☀🪟
Great idea, then pop them upstairs in attic
You are so,so much fun to hang out with. I have a smile on my face the whole time I watch your video's. You have such a wonderful idea of what is precious in life. Your sharing with us alot and I need to let you know how much it means to me. Please don't ever think we don't want to know any of it. We do !!! Look forward to your birthday week 💝
Spinach!!! It’s a little work BUT you eat it all the time so it would be worth it! 💚
Girl we all have had a room like that at one point. No judgement. It's refreshing to see a youtuber who makes everything esthetically pleasing be honest about the realities of mess/ clutter. It's very human to have a catch all room. The key is to (like you are doing here) be honest with yourself about it and address it (whether that means donate stuff, store it differently, or trash it).
Happy 30th Birthday!🎈
You have accomplished so much! Stand proud!🙌🏻
Keep creating your Life w/ lots flowers & everything that brings you joy!🥳🎉
Your flowers are beautiful and your painting is charming! 🏵🌼🏵🌻🥀🌼🏵🌻🌷🌼🏵🥀🌻🌼
When the flower blooms are almost done we sometimes say "they are on their last leg" or "they are nearly spent". Try planting green onions (spring onions) they keep pests away and are so yummy! Also radishes, they both grow quickly and you could get two harvests or more through the summer if planted again after the first crop.
I live near a road that has busy traffic noise in the rush hour times of day. I wear headphones, and listen to music or podcasts . Your garden is lovely. Try beetroot, radish are easy spring onion , onions , garlic . You could have herbs, chives rosemary, thyme, parsley. Garden peas just need a corner with a climbing area. French green beans just need a climbing area. A strawberry patch will need a net to protect from birds. French marigolds are a good companion plant dotted about the veg plot keeps lot of aphids and pest away. Or think about what you would like to eat . I only grow the basics to give me enough staple fruit and veg for the season.
Greens! Swiss chard, spinach etc. into your left over space in the garden...oooh beet!!!
Elise, the picture you painted is so good, you are really talented.
Best wishes for your collection launch. That's too, will be gorgeous ❤
Thaank you so so much! 🥰
We moved into our home 2 1/2 yrs ago. We still have my sewing room that is in flux. We are in our 70s and have worked on every inch of this house. If anyone judges us by that one room, I would show them the other side of the front door. 🌲🌺🌲
I love that your channel is so wholesome and edgy at the same time. You’re going to get an amazing man one day worthy of your time 💐
Feel better soon. Your painting is beautiful ..
Your tulips are beautiful. And the daffodil...my Welsh emblem flower xx
Harvest your rainwater in buckets or watering cans. It's the best for your plants and vegetables when it is dry weather.
Love the painting. Have prints made of them and sell them too!
How exciting! Lots of fun next week! I am glad that you had a slower paced week, I love seeing your paintings. Very impressed by the change that you made in that room - decluttering and organizing are so important to have done for when you work your magic on that space in the future. Enjoy your weekend❤
Wowza!! That coat at 15:42 is awesome i can see it going with so many different decades of clothes styles!! 😮😊❤ Loved the vlog today!! ❤️ Never explain why you have fresh cut flowers 🌷 that is what they are for!! 😊❤
Elise..I have a room that looks like your laundry room and I just convince myself that it is organized chaos. No matter how man times I straighten it out it always end up catching all of my odds and ends. I love your videos. I think you are a talented artist in so many different ways including fine art painting. I love your tulip painting. Looking forward to the watching you again.
Everyone has a messy spot!
I know I do!😂
Me too!
A room like that one with the pipes and such is sometimes called a Utility Room. [In US] We had one in the ranch style house I grew up in. It's meant to be utilitarian! ❤
Delightful, beautiful, organized and peaceful. Love the soulful and colorful painting, your home, garden, the authentic, grounded and creative way you seem to gracefully move through your day and life. Soon it will be your birthday/solar return. You're the 2nd, I think, my sister is the 3rd, and my partner's daughter-in-law is the 4th. Yay. Gratitude and Love from a (former) red-head mom and youthful "oma" (grandma) near Amsterdam.
I love your little painting 🎨 your Tulips are so beautiful.Hope you have a wonderful Birthday 🎂 and kudos to you for sorting out all the things you no longer had use for.
Is that it? You should see MY 'junk room' - it's 10 times the size of yours and stacked with items from floor to ceiling - now THAT'S messy!
Seriously! That’s Messy Room amateur hour! 😊😊
I hear you , my playroom in the courtyard is so full, I can only open door to shove something else in , and don't get me started about the meditation room upstairs thanks goodness for curtains hahahhaa x
Singing on the last verse is beautifully put and easily translated. ❤ ❤🇺🇸
Guilty of a natural "Secret Room" ☺️ Love the Romper, it will Always be my favorite piece of clothing style❣❣
That green dress is so perfect on you!
That dress is gorgeous on you. I’m glad you decided to keep it.
The videos where you take us through your week, like this one, are always so much fun to watch.
I didn't realize that your laundry room was actually part of your house, I thought it was a little outdoor shed. It's so cute. What you did was great and made it so much more functional for you, but I can't wait to see it when you've reno-ed it.
Next week it going to be so exciting for you! Sending good wishes and positive vibes.
Lots of lettuce and green beans, tomato plants yeah!! you go girl there is endless possibilities of what yoy can grow😊
😊😊Take that cabinet down put a shelf over the washer and dryer put a tall slim one where the cabinet was and add some wall hangers .
Radishes,onions..😮 You are getting the laundry room done. It's such a cute space( your home& garden) Getting ready for your skylights😅..💞🌴🦜🌺🐞🐞🤗
Those tulips are gorgeous! Your painting is beautiful keep doing it! We love you ❤️🥰😊
You can press the flowers, use on junk journal,or anything.👍😄
I enjoy painting also, I’m not looking for masterpieces …. It’s just fun and so relaxing, I’m in another world. Keep painting. That is a beautiful painting 💕🌷🌟 🎨.
Your messy room looked like my cleanest room. Your painting is lovely. Thank you and cheers.
Have a lovely birthday week. 30 will be great. Looking forward to seeing your skylight project progress. Ax
Oh Elise that pizza looked so good my mouth watered!! GOSH that painting is fantastic!! So filled with JOY and colour!! Actually reminded me of Van Gogh !! Woohooo for the Skylights and reaching Level 30 from this who is at Level 62 ..You will have such fun in Your 30s!!! You have already accomplished so much more ENJOY and many Mirthday Blessings to You!
Hi Elise we all have had a messy room at one time ,you’ll get it done .Have a nice weekend sending lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Radishes. Cucumbers. Peppers. Lettuce or cabbage tomatoes and maybe zucchini or eggplant and of course herbs.
You got a lot done in this video. Love the idea of cleaning up clutter and making the room more useful!! Blessings.
That painting is beautiful! And we also have a messy room and it's ok, we clean it when we decide to.
We all have areas in our houses that can benefit from sorting and organising. Putting some of your stylish touches in will make you feel more inspired to keep it tidy and better organised. It definitely isn't easy in a country where you have snow in winter and therefore harder to get to outdoor storage areas.
Green onions are easy to grow and left alone by creatures! 😊
"We've got pretty pipes" oh Elise You do make me giggle , it is so good to have a sense of Humour handy when dealing with things like that . We just had 2 new skylights replaced in our lounge , so lucky we packed most things up out of the way as we even had scaffolding in the middle of the room , and now decided to change how we have the stereo , changing things around ...still dealing with things now weeks later , but just seeing and feeling the difference is enough to keep us motivated...and then You post this timely video , just what I need to spur me on again , so thanks ... I need a LOT more motivation to tackle the Meditation room as I have somehow managed to fill it with racks of clothing ...which is the next room ...after the dining room (OH boy I need a lie down from just thinking about it hahahhaa ) I wish I was You and had only one small room that is messy and the rest of the house so beautiful !! EDIT had to stop video again and smile at Your stick collection , I only just filled a large container with stick dried herbs and pine cones , I do have a great excuse as I will burn them in my courtyard cauldron to celebrate Halloween and Honour My Ancestors on May 1st in New Zealand x
Elise, plant beetroot in your garden. You can also cook a few leaves as they are growing, if you need greens.
I love growing herbs - parsley especially, it gets so big and lush and has beautiful flowers. Runner (green) beans and butter beans (the yellow version) are great on tripods, and peas of course! They look darling and are great protein for vegetarians. ❇
Thank you for sharing your gardens again; it is beautiful! The green dress is a gorgeous color and fit. Very flattering. Kudos on your beautiful painting; it is lovely. Good work on the laundry room tidy and early happy birthday wishes to you dear! 🎉💕
🤣 We all have that one room! Yours isn't bad at all. Our 2nd bedroom gets all sorts of stuff chucked into it that I don't know what to do with at the moment. Hubby's armoire is in there, my make up desk, closet with totes, seasonal clothes, crafting totes, 3 American Girl dolls and dog/cat grooming kit! About once a month I have to go in there and tame it down! Then its...declutter, organize and stuff shuffling!! Here in some parts of Texas there are no basements and attics are too hot. I was from upstate New York, we had both basements and attics. Lots of storage! I know there are millions of homes like this. I see people rent storage units when they have stuffed garages!😂
Elise, it’s possible to remove discoloration from cigarette smoke on walls. Mix 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, spray mixture on walls, wipe down (rinsing washcloth frequently). Once done, mix 1/4 cup powdered detergent in a bucket of hot water and wash walls, rinsing cloth frequently. If needed, do a final rinse with cool water. Your walls with be so clean!
Tip: Always wash walls before painting.
She knows🙂 She did do it to the whole house before painting it. The walls were so yellow and icky.
Elise try planting beetroot, they are easy to grow, you can eat them raw with salad or roast them or pickle them. Love your style, great video as always. ❤
Painting is beautiful! So very happy to see you whenever you are on.😘
Love your painting … you have so much talent and creativity in the house and the garden. Enjoy your weekend!🩷
bush green beans are super easy and keep on giving throughout the season.
Flower Bouquet so Gorgeous ..
Love the painting! Your flowers are beautiful!
Can't wait to see the skylights!!
Enjoyed your video!!
The laundry room is a great room to enter from the garden, keeping the dirt out of your livingroom!
