Saw them live twice. They were incredible. Tripp Eisen of Dope, had a history that really brought the band down. Credit to Wayne for firing him. Love the music! They had a ton of radio play with Push It, among others
Last I remember was with Linkin park and STP... Might have been Family values 2000 or so. Long time ago. It was the first concert i took my brother too.. hah
One of their biggest hit singles is "Cold" from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. The first Static-X album I owned was "Shadowzone". I picked up Fear Factory's album "Archetype" at the same time. You should check out Fear Factory's song "Drones" on there. It's atmospheric as HELL
I saw them live way back with Pantera, Slayer, Morbid Angel and Skrape. They played this song. He introduced the song "This song is called Shit!....... In a Bag." Then immediately started kicking ass.
I was his tech... And yep, that was the LAST NORTH AMERICAN PANTERA TOUR... as fate would have it. Know who Skrape's drummer was... Will Hunt. He played with us towards the end... Evanessence is his main gig now Cheers
It was 2001... I was in a Hot Topic store and they were playing this song. I asked the cashier who it was and they told me it's called Shit in a Bag and it's from the new Static-X album. I purchased the album right then and there, and that was my year. The year of Static-X.
Gotta do some Hatebreed!! They were a staple in the hardcore community in my home town in Connecticut! "Looking down the barrel of today" is a good start and don't forget Jamey Jasta (lead singer) was the host of Headbangers Ball in early 2000's 🤘
They did Cold for the movie Queen of the Dammed. Also check out I'm with Stupid, and Bled for Days is another good one. As for something very recent Hollow.
Wayne was well loved in the hard Rock community..I was front stage 1st time I saw them and was just blown away from the energy! They had a very unique sound of their own and they killed it! You could never confuse them for anyone else.
I'm impressed that you did this song. It's maybe my favourite but not one of their hits. This is also one of the most underrated live albums. As far as holograms go, the only one I'm aware of is Dio. His ex wife and some guys he used to play with put it together and have toured extensively to mixed reviews. Static X pretty much stopped prior to Wayne's passing. They recently reunited for the anniversary of their debut album and recorded a new album with some of Wayne's previously unreleased vocal tracks. Before covid they were touring with a masked singer whose identity they kept a secret to keep the focus on honoring Wayne. We are all about 99% sure that it is Edsel Dope from the band Dope.
Guys...by far my favorite industrial metal band! I've seen them 24 times since '99. Lucky enough to call Tony (bassist) a friend now. Bled for Days, Lovedump, Fix are all great songs! So many more songs!
Saw these guys live at Lupos in Providence many moons again, and to this day remains one of the best live shows I’ve ever been to. Amazing energy and like you say they’re characters. Great channel, great reaction!
Static-X always put on a great live show. Last concert I saw them at was a little tiny venue near Wayne's home town and his parents were there. Super cool.
RIP Wayne Static & his wife Tera. I was lucky enough to see Static-X in FL twice in July & December of 2005. They sounded amazing live, & put on one Hella show🤟 They played at The Gathering, can't remember what year tho, also before Static-X, Wayne was is another band called Deep Blue Dream with Billy Corgan before he started Smashing Pumpkins.
I love that Wayne himself used to refer to their music as 'Evil Disco'.. I totally see it hahaha God bless you Wayne Static. keep on rockin' in the Free world boys! next up: Devildriver - The Mountain Unearth - Endless
Nothing better than some Static-X when you're in the mood to get crazy! Saw them live and it was amazing! So much energy. I think I remember them doing shots with the crowd. 😅
They had a lot of radio play through their first three albums. This song in particular is about touring life, where the bus driver will charge you for taking a poop on the bus because he has to pump it out when they get to a stop, so you have to shit in a plastic bag to avoid that, and toss it out the window on the highway.
Static-X tour in 2019 in celebration of their first album released Wisconsin death trip they had somebody play Wayne Static he wore a mask his hair was still tall and everything he sounded just like him
Static X was a band that came through my town every year and it only took me one show to make my mind up that I was going to every show. The energy and vibes of the band and crown and Wayne was such an entertaining front man. I’d have to say I was as upset about losing Prince as I was when I heard Wayne died 😢 🕊️ Evil Disco 🪩 🖤🖤🖤
They did get some radio play, though not enough if you ask me. That thing with his beard? I gotta figure he was standing in front of a fan. Still gotta do Bled for Days, Love Dump and So
Last time t saw Static-X was in 2009 and it host so happened to be on my senior prom night. I was recovering from being sick and took my girlfriend to the show (her first metal show) and I don’t regret missing prom at all. That night kicked ass an was more memorable.
From what I heard this song was written about a time the toilet on a tour bus was broken and someone had to "GO" so they went in a bag and, as the story goes, threw it out the window when they were done.
He's right it was a Dragon Sleeper. I remembered him using a Pump kick at one point. Looked him up on Wiki to confirm and Blackman started wrestling in 86. Just thought I'd share that because that blew my mind.
Looooove Static!!!! They are the only music I listen to when I run. The energy and Candace just puts me in the zone. You guys are dope!!! Peace and Love from Columbus!!! And Wayne always reminded me of the slim Jim guy back in the day. He did a solo album also called Pighammer. Check it out.
Finally more Static-X! So many good ones to do!🤘🔥 Dirthouse and Destroyer and Stingwray! And they found some unreleased stuff by Wayne and made a new album but also tour doing old stuff with a guy that sounds like Wayne but wears a mask to not take away from Wayne’s memory
R.I.P to Wayne Static and I saw them many times live and caught a guitar pick and a drum stick from them. But the best lineup I saw them was Static X, System of a Down, Slayer, and Pantera. Lost a shoe during that concert 😅
Industrial songs. Static-X - I'm With Stupid (Official Music Video) | Warner Vault Nine Inch Nails - Wish (Official Video) n17 - Kontrol Ministry - N.W.O KMFDM - A Drug Against The War Sister Machine Gun - Cocaine Jesus Gravity Kills - Guilty Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself 16 Volt - Two Wires Thin similar Marilyn Manson - Misery Machine odd songs Marilyn Manson - My Monkey
You should check out WAYNE STATIC'S other previous bands.... DEEP BLUE DREAM he was in with BILLY CORGAN prior to smashing pumpkins, DEEP LUE DREAM were melodic pop (complete 180 from static x) and then the band DRILL which was moving toward the STATIC X sound...
I know this video is old but their name before Static-X was Static. Some other artist was already known for 'Static' at the time, so it became Static-X.
Static X just recently released an album for there anniversary some unreleased music before Wayne's unfortunate departure from this world RIP Wayne Static
Static x played the club I worked at, jillians in Louisville, lost my mosh virginity at that show, amazing to see them 10 feet away, got kicked in shin by steele toe boots, tapped oit!!!
speaking of people who passed away, i just found out that Trevor Moore died on Friday. i was curious if yall could react to one of his songs. he was a comedian, so his music reflects that. check out dinosaur rap(getting high with dinosaurs).
You've reacted to thunderstruck from ac/dc React to thunderstruck cover from 2cellos. They play the song on 2 cello's and used to be a part of elton John's band. Before becoming too big of a name themselves.
Every time I hear Static-X I always think of coal chamber which was around the same time Static-X was around. You guys would love Colt chamber big truck in loco you guys would love those tracks come on trash talking Sam back me up. Trash talker for life
His hair would have gotten into the hall of fame if it didn't hurt it's knee. His hair is so cool it has it's own hair and his hair's hair is better than your hair
Guys Please please please react to Dir En Grey - Vinushka (Androgynous - A view from the acro) the song is about WW2 and this live version is the only way to listen to it. I can honestly promise your minds will be blown away.
Heya guys! Since you've already reacted to multiple Nightwish songs, would you like to try Epica? Both bands are top dogs in the symphonic metal sub-genre. Epica's lead female soprano is Simone Simons and her voice is wonderful. I know you've done Sancta Terra, but that doesn't really count, as most people only react to it because Floor is in it. If you wanna hear Simone's wonderful soprano, I would suggest their orchestral (non-metal) ballad "Trois Vierges" feat. Roy Khan (with lyrics). Can you please react to it? :)
There are so many better songs than this from Static X, but I would suggest the following tracks…. WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP or THIS IS NOT or TERMINATOR OSCILLATOR (new track) RIP WAYNE 🌹🌹🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hey guys...I'm a big fan of your reacts. I am from Czech republic and I wish, if you can react to my favourite band. I'll Nino - (song: This is WAR). I swear you enjoy this song...thx by No:ID(CZECHrep).........
We neeeeeeeeed to see more Static-X man, I swear they haven’t made a bad song.
Structural Defect
Permanence
Hollow
Permanence is my all time favorite Static X song.
Please please keep evil disco alive!!! What a unique fucking band. Rip. Legend!!
Evil Disco! \m/

Amdnd it was family values 2001 deadsey, static x, linkin park, stained and stp. Awesome tour
Push it!, I'm with stupid, the only, cold, and otsegolectric.
Definitely more Static X please. The whole Wisconsin Death Trip album
100%
Keep evil disco alive!! Static X was one of my favorite bands to see perform live. 🤘🖤
I LOVE that one🤘
Slave Labor was my jam!

“Machine” is a masterpiece. RIP Wayne 🤘🤘

I saw one of Waynes last performances ,before he passed, at the gathering of the juggalos. Him and his band were great. RIP Wayne Static
Static-X tour in 2019 in celebration of their first album released Wisconsin death trip they had somebody play Wayne Static he wore a mask his hair was still tall and everything he sounded just like him
I've been to a lot of shows/festivals in my time and I have to day, I've never seen a band absolutely bring a crowd alive quite like Static X!
Static X was a band that came through my town every year and it only took me one show to make my mind up that I was going to every show. @Trash Talkers for industrial and metal crossovers, you need out check out Ministry - Thieves and Front Line Assembly - Millenium
From what I heard this song was written about a time the toilet on a tour bus was broken and someone had to "GO" so they went in a bag and, as the story goes, threw it out the window when they were done.
First Static X song I ever heard was Dirthouse on 103.1 The Bear. Fantastic song that I'd highly recommend fellas.
All in wait next
He's right it was a Dragon Sleeper. I remembered him using a Pump kick at one point. Looked him up on Wiki to confirm and Blackman started wrestling in 86. Just thought I'd share that because that blew my mind.
