This song was a feature in Queen of the Damned. They were so happy to be invited to be part of it, they wrote this song and made this video.
The other one on that soundtrack "Not Meant For Me" by Wayne Static is a great song as well.
This song was one of the many reasons why we recommended the Queen of the Damned soundtrack.
This song was on the album Machine...it was used on the soundtrack. "Not Meant For Me" was written by Johnathan Davis and Wayne laid vocals down for it. Like a lot of the written for the movie tracks, this was done with guest vocals instead of Jonathan's vocals from the movie. I have forgot the reasons why this happened. But IMO I think it was a great move.

Jonathan Davis did amazing on the soundtrack. It's so rare and special. It Disturbed, Static X, Chester Bennington, Orgy's Jay, Deftones magic. The best Soundtrack ever ever ever ever ever. Thank you Smokey and Hollywood for this one!!!!!!!!!!
Static X played the club I worked at in Louisville back in 2001, small show but such a memorable show!! So glad I stayed over at work!!

You probably heard of the Queen of the Damned movie with Aaliah. Well, this song is from that movie's sountrack.
You should check out Wayne Static's solo song "Not Meant For Me" also from the same "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack. Hell, you should listen to the whole soundtrack it's a banger with bands like Papa Roach, Disturbed, Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Earshot, and Godhead with solo songs by David Draiman, Jay Gordon and Chester Bennington.

This is my favorite late 90s early 2000s band of all time. Assassin's of youth was his last music video he made before his death. Based on a true even with him and his wife Tera. They were literally inseparable.

Sorry, but not even close. Best soundtrack goes to The Crow. Don't get me wrong Queen of the Damned was a really good soundtrack, but the Crow just outshines it.

Xero is unofficially Edsle dope from the band dope and does a dope job playing the part and honoring stati-x for what they are! No one can replace Wayne but Zero does his best to keep the vibe going!
I had a different version of GTA San Andreas some year ago (not the original version) and there was a radio called "Radio rock" in the game which had not only this song but also: Korn Did My Time, System of a down Chop Suey, System of a down Chic N Stu, Slipknot Spit it Out, Slipknot left Behind, Slipknot Before I Forget, Slipknot Duality, (maybe I'm forgetting another song), which doesn't make sense be called "Radio Rock" should've been "Radio Nu Metal" or just "Metal Radio"

Man, I just discovered you guys a few months back and love watching the genuine reactions and just overall feedback with all sorts of artists. You two are awesome! Love watching the Slipknot reactions, to MudVayne, Static X and all the sort. Been a metal head all my life: from Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, to Dream Theater, LTE (Liquid Tension Experiment), to Tool, Static X, Coal Chamber; it never ends lol. Yes, Xer0 (Edsel Dope) is the current and badass front man carrying the torch of our loved and never to be forgotten legend of Static X, and their new albums (some I think are songs that Wayne had written but never put on record) are wicked, needless to say. Dope was also really close friends with Wayne back in the day, so it fits that he be the one to carry his name. If I could recommend an amazing song by the beast himself, Mr. Wayne Richard Wells, I'd highly recommend Cannibal or (there's so many) Stem, which does an incredible transition into Sweat of the Bud off their debut album. Just food for thought, maybe for a different nu-metal metal Monday? Keep on jammin guys, you are awesome! 🤘

I always think of Queen of the Damned & also 10-12 yr old me starring at the TV screen at Wayne Static wondering how long it took to perfect his hair to the point where it was.
I may have missed this.. but have you seen Queen of the Damned? If not I recommend. Jonathan Davis (korn) was producing the soundtrack. Thieves soundtrack to Queen of the Damned is a great soundtrack.

I remember the first time I heard Static-X. I bought their first album Wisonsin Death Trip, as well as White Zombie's La Sexorcisto album and System of a Down's first album. Was already a fan of White Zombie and thought I would like that album the most of the three. Nope, Static-X was on repeat for a while. RIP Wayne Static.

Would love some more Queen reactions. How about White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975, Dragon Attack live at Montreal and Now I’m Here live at Wembley 1986. All are epic performances.
The album version features a pretty nifty bridge segment that was cut for the soundtrack. Otherwise, this version of the song gives you everything you need.
Now it's time to do a new track. Some of the songs on the new albums have Xero and Wayne together on there (they utilised archive demo vocals of wayne posthumously)

Static-X was Wayne Static... 'Xero' (guitar/ vocals) was brought in so that Static-X could tour again without Wayne... The recent 2 Static-X albums were mostly songs Wayne wrote or recorded vocals for... but completed after his passing. Most of the popular Static-X songs were w/ Wayne Static... The music video for 'Cold' featured Wayne's then-girlfriend. Wayne met his wife Tera Wray around 2007 when Static-X did Ozzfest '07 and apparently bassist Tony Campos did not like her and that led to Wayne and Tony falling out by 2010.
Wayne released his solo album 'Pighammer' in 2011... He grumbled that it was easier to make and still be a Static-X album sonically without having to run his songs through the other 3 members... He tried to reform Static-X w/ all new members, but Tony Campos refused to grant him permission to use the name.
So, Wayne Static launched a solo tour playing Static-X's entire 1st album 'Wisconsin death trip' in 2014... and he was doing great on tour even without the name Static-X and wife Tera Wray would perform visually alongside the band... He was slated to tour Europe before recording a new solo album when he passed away in late 2014... His wife Tera Wray took her own life a year later 😪
So, Tony Campos (bass) approached Wayne's family about releasing Wayne's final recordings as 'Project Regeneration' in 2 volumes and brought back the original Static-X: Ken Jay (drums) and Koichi Fukuda (guitar)... Speculation is that Edsel Dope of the band Dope took on the image of Wayne Static as 'Xero' (guitar/ vocals) and Static-X was back in big business w/ their 'evil disco' sound by 2019.
Static X still relevant even though Wayne has been gone for 10 yrs. 💖

Not my favorite X song -- not hard enough. I found the lyrics to be too repetitive too for my taste. :( But it was so cool to see his hair down. I didn't even realize it was him at first! LOL
