They really hit a goldmine when they brought Nico in the band.
No shade on their old vocalist, but Nico is like that final piece of the puzzle.

@@marmeladenschnitzel5648 Ghostkid (the old vocalist's new band) is actually doing alright, so I like to imagine that they all understand it needed to happen. Obviously Ghostkid isn't doing nearly the numbers that EC is doing now, but it's not that different from what EC was doing pre-Nico.

The reveal of Kevin was completely expected. But still hilarious. I mean, we can't expect anything less from Electric Callboy

It was my first ever music video of them I ever watched, so I didn't fully know what to expect. I almost fell off my chair from laughing!
A lot of people have said that this is bromance anthem for Kevin and Nico and honestly I totally agree with that statement. The band is having the time of their lives after Nico joined and that song just sums it all up so perfectly.
Nico has also confirmed the bromance anthem theory in their making-of video for this song.
The making of video was great, everybody commented on the bromance XD

This is so true. Simply because of the amount of fun and love for the music they have, I am currently of the opinion that they are the #1 band in general.

Well I am deeply disappointed. This may be the worst cover of a song I have ever heard in my life. Well except for the covers made by Kygo. Those are in an entire different horrible league. The only positive thing about this cover is the video, which actually is kind of funny.
As drummer David "Kurwa" Friedrich stated on making of video about this covers associations: "Summer feelings, joy, fun, party... everything we Electric Callboy usually don't do."
And it was impressive how long he managed to keep up that pokerface

And it's not just the music. The choreography is also great. I showed this one to my ballroom dancing instructor and she loved it.

unsurprisingly their tour is sold out for almost every date rest of this year. they are infectious and likely going to end up being one of the most influential metal bands due to their genre crossing, fun approach to music. honestly, good vibes metal :)

"I still hear your voice when you sleep". It means that even if the person is not able to talk (because he/she is sleeping) his/her voice is still in my mind.
I just discovered these guys about 2 weeks ago. Seeing reactions like yours and Tank are the reason I'm now playing all ECs newer songs on repeat. I was having a crap monday morning and watching you giggle like a nerd put me in such a better mood. This was the ultimate bromance song.

Ive been listening to Eskimo callboy for a good 14 years... PurpleGurk and Crystals were my favorite songs. They had quite a few really good songs...but to be 100% honest Nico and Kevin literally meshed like peanut butter and jelly and every single song this band has released with those 2 have been absolute bangers. Your reaction to this has been my entire feeling, reaction, happiness and joy to every single song they have released since Hypa Hypa dropped.
Electric callboy has created Magic and I wish it will continue for years to come.
I was waiting for this one. Also, I think the staccato synths and very melodic but rhythmically-focused riffs give the screams that kind of bouncy, super fun feeling.
Nico and Kevin's epic bromance makes me ridiculously happy!
The never ending slapping at the end is quintessential Electric Callboy. This song, and the accompanying video, is a masterpiece of feel good.
"I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me" is the lines saying that they can still hear them even when they're asleep as in the conversation never ends even when one is not going on. Like the presence is enough by itself
This is by far the best bromance song ever. I seriously hope this makes it on the US tour set list. I get to see them next month and I am soooooooooo excited!!!

This was the best video the Schillo Bros have done. Pascal and his brother knock this video out of the park. It's amazing watching how much they have improved from Hypa Hypa to this video in just the since of quality of execution.
EC released a behind the scenes video to this yesterday, and their stories for the costumes, the shoes especially, is just hilarious. really worth a watch
also, I totally expected a dirty dancing move as well.... and I watched that movie maybe twice as a child, and not in the last 20y, but it's just pop-culture gold XD

I love this little community that Elizabeth and some of the reactors have built... Elizabeth, Julia, Lolli, Chris, Tank, and then Will and Nico and Kevin, Orbit Culture, Ren and Chinchilla...even Knox...its turned into a pretty cool thing...
You mentioned how good Nico's voice sounds in this, that was one of my first thoughts on listening to this. Tihs is the reason why I love FckBoi and Hurrikan so much. Now don't get me wrong I love the mixture of the harsh and clear stuff, but he really does sound good when on the relaxed clear vocals.
Do you know the acoustic versions of Pump It an Prism? If not, you should really look them up. Thats what Nico (and Kevin) can really do vocally... if they want to!

I discovered EC through your analysis of "We Got The Moves". That song - and the reaction videos plus ECs catalog - was what I needed while going through a rough spot in life. Life is more fun with EC in it.

I just love how excited you get over these metal bands especially Electric Callboy, Metallica and Pantera. Just how you lit up during this song was exactly how I reacted hearing metal for the first time when I was 9.
That was an incredible description of the different "fry" vocals. I love the statement you made about it sounding like it's just shredding his voice. Of course, you know that's not the case. This is now my new favorite version of this song. It hit so many nostalgic notes from the 2000s. The synth notes, vocoder, heavy metal and screamo just calls me back to middle/high school, and on top of that this is a song I've jammed to pretty much my whole life. Thos makes me happy inside.

The Cascada track this is related to definitely is 2000ish, but the original behind this is a Maggie Reilly song from the 80's or something - I absolutely like all the versions of this one, it's just one of those great sings that work im a variety of styles 🥰
I can't think of a single video of EC that hasn't made me laugh or at least smile. They are so over the top and clearly have so much fun making these vids that it's contagious.

For me it’s all about standing out in anything you do and that’s why I’m absolutely obsessed with this band. They stand out in what they do and I admire that so much and the fact their clean and dirty vocals go so well together. 100/10
Fun video. Love the reveal of Kevin. I will always think of you as fancy shoes that are fluffy on the inside. Haha. The dancing with Nico and Kevin is funny. I think Kevin's handlebar mustache looks like it is drawn on. I come back to this video and the We Got the Moves as well as the April Fools 2021 whenever I want a good laugh.

I always defended that heavy music is not just about anger or bad feelings, that is not just about distortion (and the crazy calling noise).
Screams are about expressing and pouring out ANY kind of feeling as loud as possible, including love. But holy shesh, these guys upgraded to the *next level*!!!
It is impossible to not have a huge smile on your face when watching and listening to this. No matter what type of day im having this will always cheer me up. Even if its just a little.
Also you have to have some sort of tallent to make the sort of music they do as it could so easily be cringy and just not very good but these guys have IT.
How much fun are they? I discovered them for the first time with this song.... Total addiction now. Just great guys enjoy all their background stuff as well. Nice to get a good laugh along with great music and good folks.

Even though my personal favourite of them is "We got the moves" this cover is hilarious and it's a complete style/music craziness packed into the clip. I love the fact that the band is having fun on set and this is so contagious. It's really enjoyable to see and hear them having fun and it feels as if they're inviting everyone to have a bit of that.
