Great video 💯 can you please do a video about signing music producers & artist to your production company? Also, how to negotiate contracts & fees with them. I like production teams like Beat by the Pound, Roc-A-Fella Records Production Team, Digi+Phonics (TDE) & The Neptunes. I was always curious about how the contract agreements, credits & money is being distributed among those producers within that production team. Thanks for any and all help.
Looking to start my LLC. Do you recommend doing both Operations and Assets LLCs right away or is starting with operations first and then doing Assets later ok as well? I'd like to know your thoughts. Thanks so much for these videos
Very informative and educational. If you set this all up in a TRUST you can actually remain anonymous but in total control of all assets. The object is to "Own Nothing But Control Everything."
Casey my man! I heard you drop Drum Brokers, !llmind and even the young legend Spitta!! 🙌🏾 Pls, keep dropping these gems for us up n coming musicians. The music knowledge is a whole flex!
My question !! Where doesn’t NFT goes ? LLC 1 or LLC 2 ? It’s direct inform and commissions from compositions etc and Hugh income using capital gains very higher in asset cause NFT is higher than placements money.. it’s a insane
“Never sell your publishing until you’re ready to leave the game.” One thing that REALLY shocked me, is how SUPER PROD/WRITERS Rodney Jerkins/Timbaland/The Dream/Tricky Stewart/Johnta Austin/Rico Love/50 Cent/LA Reid/Sean Garrett/ etc….SOLD THEIR CATALOGS/Publishing to foreign company Hipgnosis Songs Fund! 😳😳😲 I don’t get it…..that’s your 401K+++
Can you do a follow up video like this break down to your 5 LLC label structure video. How do labels how rights and collect ect. Great break down! Making winners! 🏆
Like iam tell u the truth I been and artist with a manager for a long time..until I figured out I was. Pretty good at production so all of a sudden iam giving beats to rappers I know would be a come up for me! I never thought about llc or the way a production company is made ,,,I do sample from sample companies whether splice to even purchasing sample packs which I spend most of my money on now I read the info on copyrights to these packs which says as long as iam the one using the sample iam clear I have made placements but local artist that I wanna basically manage…so I know all that is a lot of hats to wear so I have one artist and we go through tunecore we have had more success on RUclips most songs are getting at least 30;000 views but I promote them which again costs money so I spend on making the beat ,,,,recording and mixing and mastering…then shooting the video which I pay for..I guess what iam asking is have I fucked up by not already done what u just talked about like I just make music cuz I love doing it but I also recognize it is a busines…cuz when I go back to the artist and say I basically own everything you recorded…but thank you for your videos I will definitely start watching more and even go backwards to old videos
Thank you again for blessing us with your knowledge. I'm a little bit confused, investor come in for 50% pub should he get paid back his % via operation (from pub royalties) ?
i am still a bit confused on the assets part where you had assets 1 2 and 3 where you spoke about harry frod and meg the stallion so how do i get to create those assets example my name and album should be assets 1
Thanks for this video I just started making beats last year because of a serious car accident that literally killed me. I've made enough beats where I want to take this to the next level. I want to help people be successful artists. Especially where I live some hillbilly Mormon town that hates to see kids have fun. They end up on drugs and alcohol and are lucky to live past highschool. Then the next best thing is meth and prison. I want to give my community music and the ability to express it in all forms!!! Kids get week days adults get the weekends!
- Advances aren’t loans its actually your future earnings paid to you right now! - They have to be paid back through your royalties. - If you don’t pay them back fully then you wont receive your next advance or any future royalty payouts from the songs you were advanced on.
Let’s take a moment of applause for Casey consistently delivering game, seriously… like abundance !! 👏👏👏
Thanks Mo!
Salute to Casey Cash!

That fund will soon be approved by the SEC and will be publicly traded. Music is the new stock market.
@@MusicMoneyMakeover Crazy! I would never sell mine if I was of stature like them!

Hold rights*
Labels hold rights by owning the copyright and the collect money via their inhouse distributor or for indie an aggregate distributor like Tunecore.
This was a great video! It inspired me to get off my butt and get my stuff off the ground.
That's what I like to hear!

Are you saying buy a asset llc for each publishing deal ? But you only have one operations llc ?
💎
i am still a bit confused on the assets part where you had assets 1 2 and 3 where you spoke about harry frod and meg the stallion so how do i get to create those assets example my name and album should be assets 1

Is the publishing advance a loan to be paid back?
- Advances aren’t loans its actually your future earnings paid to you right now!
- They have to be paid back through your royalties.
- If you don’t pay them back fully then you wont receive your next advance or any future royalty payouts from the songs you were advanced on.
@@MusicMoneyMakeover So Basically a loan only if you earn any royalties. So If you don't receive your royalties you don't earn a profit
Thank you
You're welcome
Great show!!!
