This vid needs to be seen by every up and coming beatmaker. This is exactly how I run my company. It's been over 15 years of making music and I'm comfortable and confident of my skills now.
This one was fpr me feeling sure. Everything you're saying makes complete since and the keyword is "eventually" like you said. Everything comes in due time. This is good advice and helps people plan out their career. Thank you 👌🏾
Great infor bro! I have a record label and book publishing company LLC and I am soon about to release some projects, but I would like to know how to have the address of my LLC blocked from the public. I don't want niggaz looking my company up and see that I am the owner or see my address, because as you know , your business can't be registered to a PO Box. Can you enlightened me on how to do this please. And I really appreciate all the gemz you drop on your show bruh. Keep up the good work.🔥🔥🙏🙏🎶🎶💖💖
This setup seems like it would fit best for me as a lyrical talent / song writer / producer / audio engineer. Later on in due time I look to forming a distribution company, would that be out of order?
As far as TuneCore distribution, Facebook pays quarter years royalties, I still don’t get how or where either, but basically 4 times a year Facebook pays out royalty checks, not sure where the publishing is cumulated…
The Entertainment Co. part because this type of producer will eventually hit the road and do some live appearances. That bag gets big and heavy fast and it shouldn't be tied to any other intellectual property that you own.
Gotcha. Would you recommend a holding co with this structure, or would that be something to consider when the producer/artist generates a certain amount of revenue or reaches a certain milestone?
@@MusicMoneyMakeover Lastly Casey, what type of name/descriptor would the Operations LLC have? For example, one might have “X” Records and “X” Publishing, so would it be something like “X” Operations LLC or “X” Productions LLC? Thanks.
The real question is how does a production company get any credit if BMI won’t let you sign up as a production company? Is your production company a publisher? Because you need a SSN to sign up as a producer, your EIN won’t work.

MEEKMILL, THAT IS ALL!

Thanks Casey. Is there a clear benefit to this model compared to the model described in Part 1 which was the operations LLC and Holding co structure?

@@daveydfrombc yes exactly.
@@daveydfrombc plus the holding company is a tax shelter so the money wont get taxed all day

Yes your production company is a publisher
