Just wanted to let you know that your videos make this thing of ours seem actually doable. Grabbed a couple of your guides & I’ll be back for more. Moving forward with my rebranding and you’ve given me a road map. Thanks a million. I hipped my band mate to you as well.
Reposted from another video on your channel. As a Kpop fan, I totally agree on the fan-economy. I buy all kinds of stuff from my favs. I especially like the albums/cds because they have stickers, photocards, posters, lyrics, etc. When I say photos - I mean like more than 50. I also pay to be an official member that includes exclusive items and more photos. In the beginning of a groups journey, the artist has already established their fanbase before debut. There is a lot of hype, videos, introductions - you name it. One final concept. When a Kpop artist releases an album it is normal to create multiple versions of the same album. Each version has different photos and sometimes extra music features. Most fans will buy every version to have a set. Contact me for more information.
I appreciate your clarity, I work on a music program with young artists and I plan on sharing your channel with them. these questions arise all the time and your explanations are easy to follow.
Thank you so much for all of your videos! I've just started to transition into the music industry, and your videos make me feel like I have the knowledge to make smart career decisions. Thank you so much for everything!!!!!
Will.I.Am has a video - - out years ago. He discusses music; says music was made or used to sell other products or things -- not just the music itself! ❗🙋💥💯🎉
@@MusicMoneyMakeover i hear ya, one of my greatest concerns is how ppl will respond to my music.ive set up everything I can. Waiting on the stimilus check to purchase items for a home studio. Knowing how ppl resonate to the music is key to knowing who to target and promote my music to. Can't do that till the music is out there. Sharing this because as more artists begin their journey there's so much to do but following the proper steps comes with many obstacles. Hurry up and wait. Only thing at this point is write more songs
Very good advice! I've been doing most of what you've suggested, but I'm dealing in genre that is really not that well known and it seems really hard to find my audience. Any advice?
I’m gonna say this to you: ALL OF THIS INFO IS FUCKING FANTASTIC!!! U break it down lovely! I will be checking out everything else you have. U are doing a great deed, Brother. Thanks for your time, effort and knowledge! #UGK4EVA!!!
Hey Casey, can we get one of these for music producers? How to build a funnel (connecting all social platforms), beat stores, copyrighting beats, contracts, sampling (clearance), selling (leasing) beats, Spotify, registering beats, RUclips, etc.? How to lease a sampled beat, I see this a lot on BeatStars and RUclips?
Hey I just watched one of your videos about the role of the record label and I have a question, what is the main difference between the record label the artist is signed to and the management company they’re signed to? how do their roles differ?
That's a good question. Record labels are only really responsible for exploiting the master meaning selling the music and the artist commits to them via a contract to help them do it, and it's mandatory! The manager gets paid a percentage of all revenue across the board and if they did their contract right the artist can choose to back out or fire them at any time.
Hey , I have a question. If I work with a producer and he said i can keep the beats for free without any paper work. Does they mean he still get 50/50 split of my record?
Hi, I have a demo of a song that I wrote, it's called FALLING. The lyrics are superior and the melody is great. How can I get it in the hands of an artist to record? I actually have quite a few songs, Falling , is the one I want to start with? Thanks for your response.
Hey Casey, is it possible to record a project/song with an artist that is signed to a record company already. If so , is there a boundary to what can be owned or done? Or does the artist’s record label stop them for recording elsewhere? Hopefully you understood the question
Can I do a sound copyright of the accapella version of the song (same structure but without the music beat)? I'm the singer, writer, arranger, and engineer. I did not produce the beat. Thanks for sharing.

I have set up my Fanbase but can't buy Loves and Subscriptions. I have contacted Support but to no avail.
I don't even use fanbase though I would like to. It has too many bugs on my phone

Hey you still have that? Also are you a prof. lyricist?

Question 1, yes. Question 2 no. but there may be more red tape to cut or cross for proper clearance.

Yes you can.
