It's amazing hearing each audio track isolated. I can immediately place almost every sound when I hear it. Really puts a spotlight on how much must go into producing a song like this.

Love this! Huge Mariah fan and sometimes it’s hard to hear all the vocal lines when they intersect…so thanks. She calls the airy singing her “whisper voice” and she’s said she considers it the most unique part of her vocal style.
I think her whistles are the most unique part, but I’ve been obsessed with them since 1991.

Synclavier all over this track. Thats what some of the sampled sounding strings are for sure. Walter Afanasieff used it on all that early Mariah stuff.......I remember listening to this at my rich Uncles on a CD player when no-one I knew had a CD early 90s

I subbed bcs you did a lot of Mariah and Britney, pls do more Mariah Carey tracks like Always Be My Baby,We Belong Together or Fantasy those are her biggest hits or anything that you can look for stems. If possible, do also some funk songs like Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers. Personally, I love when you check on the vocal layerings and thats why I like when you do Mariah bcs she layers a lot of vocals and has even hidden whistles on her songs.

I love that you get emotional and wrapped up in the music along with her, and us... but could you please mute yourself? I'd like to only hear her, and I don't have the means to do this track isolation like you did. Logic isn't accessible for blind people on Windows PCs, only Macs, which I don't have. It really, really sucks. I don't know what other programs might be accessible for screen reader users.
I've always wanted to take apart my favorite songs in this way, then reconstruct them. I didn't know it was pussoble for your average person to buy the tracks until about five years ago, and I still don't know where or how...and then there's program accessibility.

Hey @lostjedi26 I get asked this a lot so I’m going to make a video explaining why it’s not possible for me to stop interrupting the videos. I’ll give you short version here because I don’t know when I’ll have time to make the video over Christmas.
I keep getting copyright flags and emails from RUclips and the record labels that own this music and the only way I’m allowed to keep these up on the channel is because my contribution to the video outweighs theirs. So as a ‘reaction’ to their work which is further reduced by stripping the song back and playing small segments I am allowed to use the content.
As I said I will make a video on this and other FAQs but that’s the crux of it. So sorry. But until then there are acapella a of this stuff around! Also apps you can use to isolate the vocals.
I should also add that I don’t isolate these tracks a lot of the time they are the original recordings of the original session already separated

@Day cool! ive heard something similar from an old school producer in a interview on another channel. he worked with her on the first two albuns. when he asked what type of sound she liked she said georges. it makes a lot of sense looking back, they even used his looks as reference for sure.
