Almost 2 Hrs of Foreign Power / Lease Engines on CSX & NS Trains

- Just Diesel Train Engines! Some Union Pacific, BNSF, HLCX, CEFX, FURX, ICE, CITX, Norfolk Southern, and probably some more names being used on CSX & NS trains around the Maryland area. (ps. I just noticed a mistake - two NS engines on an NS train -nothing different there. Sorry)

Loved the Rio Grande tunnel motors. Awesome sound! Had to crank it up and replay that section a few times.
Terry Presnal thx!
WOAH! BCOL 4606!!!! I saw him down river in MI in early September!
In my opinion, the Multimark CP Rail SD40-2 around 6:30 mark is very nice. Do not see many of them anymore and I grew up seeing em. Very distinctive and memorable engine. The Conrail SD40-2 on that big power move was nice too. As always thanks BaltimoreAndOhioRR for posting this. Great camera work, good panning and excellent composition. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great comment! ❤️
The CSX SD70ACe's Are A Rare Treat

Dash 8s, CREX AND an old polished Ferrari??? That’s just amazing
It's actually a Lotus with a couple body modifications to look like a Ferrari 😉
Beautiful horn on CSXT 2790
Some of this foreign power is unreal! Each time I watch I see more Dave!!!
So much to talk about, too much tbh
Thanks for all the hard work mr! 😊
Thanks for watching & commenting!
Beautiful catches Dave, lots of foreign power, heritage units & lease engines
Yes indeed! Thanks so much!
This is by far the best train video I have watched so far. A lot of time and hard work making this one. I really like the way you get just the engines with and without horns. Thank you so much for what you do!
Excellent job catching the action. Thank you!
Just to say, this one is epic! So much amazing old metal on the iron road! You did a great job cataloguing all of this. Riveting to watch mr! 😮
Thank you so much!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR your work Dave is so dedicated and awesome. Been watching for months throughout the pandemic and this new abnormal mr. So much I could message you about in your content lol
@@AKawalski Message away! Thanks so much for watching & supporting! 🧡
Thank you BaltimoreAndOhioRR for outstanding video and sound at some great locations, especially St. Denis! :D
1:06 that horn
Out standing video. Am modling CSX here in New Zealand and its videos like this that allow us to see what foreign power is being used by CSX.
Keep up the good work on these videos , with out it we are very blind on the other side of the world. .
Nscalenz thanks for your comments!
I love seeing those old Conrail Quality locos!
Awesome vid.Enjoyed it much to watch .Highly interesting lease loco´s.Got a lot idea´s for my model railroad, cause you won´t see lease engines in N scale that often.
+Carsten Alwes yeah, thats true. thanks for commenting!
Great video 😊 I live in the uk we have the British variant of the SD40 in the UK class 59/66 keep up the great work
Cool, thanks
Hey I have every single one of your videos and I am subscribed to your channel so you are my top csx train filmer. I love you man and have a good day from your buddy Alvin logan.
Alvin Logan Thanks! I surely appreciate your support!
at 1:42:40 engine 950 was the first locomotive with the YN3b paint! Also I loved the end!
+ICE6365 thx!
Amazing video!! So professional!
Bulkhead flats at 1:32 were stored at Evansville wisconsin (on the abandoned UP doubletrack ) for many months. Funny they are here !!!!
Evansville64 1,32,18
Nice K5H at 33:10! Also, nice camera on most of the shots. Everything is so clear!
+lotusbandicoot thx
+lotusbandicoot
subscribe, and I will subscribe back
That’s a panam engine now
Absolutely excellent video! Wish we saw more foreign power like this although recently, some cool power has came our way
Yes indeed!
That 6756 three unit consist of manned dpus was the coolest part of this video
Wow!! That was an really excellent, competent, perfect, fantastic and super catch of locos!!!! 😊😁👍🏿😀
Thank you very much!✨
Back when power was diverse and wasn’t full of C6Ms with the occasional ACes, I wish I could’ve been a railfan during this time
Yeah, I wish I had gotten more videos back then, or even a few years earlier....
The locomotives bounce/dance a bit. Makes it enjoyable !
CSX 62 was spotted twice in this video, cool!
***** Haha, thanks for pointing that out, I never really noticed. The only thing missing is the paw.
+J Hughes yep, always nice to see those, sadly time got the best of most of them.
Good catch! Thumbs up as always!
Great video collection here, Dave! Some really cool different style engines. I think my favourite was the United States Army Engine. Although Citirail have some cool liveries! Cheers mate and have a great weekend! 🇺🇸🇦🇺😎👍🍻
Those blue & silver Citirail were my favorite back when they were around! And that's the only one of those red Army engines I've ever caught!
@BaltimoreAndOhioRR Nice! A genuine one off then!
1:27 You need your headlight on!!!
Finished watching. One of the best train videos I have ever seen. Nice. Some of the clips were played twice, and some trains seemed to be 2 BNSFs, but very nice.
Trainguy1717 what were played twice? I didn't notice any
+BaltimoreAndOhioRR I think the clip with the train from the title was played twice, the one with the UP ES44AC with the graffitti, and one other.
+Trainguy1717 And the one with the CSX leading with a BNSF and light green cars on that big curve.
Trainguy1717 wow, i feel dumb now. i'll have go look for them. sorry for the mistakes.
ps, the trains with two bnsf's are actually csx trains, using bnsf power.
+BaltimoreAndOhioRR They are barely noticable. Seems wierd how CSX would have an entire train with just BNSFs. Also all of the clips that were played twice were played after 1:20:00 I think. Now I am going to check out another 2 hour long vid. Very nice camera btw!
Awesome compilation!
There is just something about GP locomotives that fascinate me more than any other.
Awesome! Must have been a lot of work trying to catch the locomotives!
haha, yep!! thx so much!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR no problem friend :)
Very nice catches!
Thank you very much!
This video is very educational. Most of your scenery is spectacular . I often wonder if you would've caught the cabooses if they still ran them. I especially like the contrail & the SF war bonnet . Multiple epic shots. I also noticed more smoking GEVOS than EMDs . Maybe due to the length in service. Anyway, Awesome videos.. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the great comment! Yes, I most definitely would be filming cabooses if they were still running :-)
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR ns 9820 sounds bad ass
I've been away a while! How I miss these videos!!!
This video is great!
Great video, lots of cool catches...
Liberty Railfan k🚧🔫
Awesome job way to go man

17:19 favorite. CSX GP38-2 horn
awsome video and power
Very nice video.
Thank You and Thumbs Up.
Many Greetings
Andreas
Thanks for visiting 😄
great video nice catches
I love you video your the best good catch
Question: Doesn't the railroad that is running the train generally put a unit of theirs in the lead?
Cool foreign power video!
Seeing big blue conrail loco man nice to see
Awesome catches
as a Brit railfan, who used to model American railroads, this video is a little gem, nicely done with some rare locomotives, Sd45 was nice to see.....
+richard timms
Thx!
Cool videos
I remember the SD40-3/BC RAIL Autorack train, I taped it in Brunswick.
Railfan Cadence haha cool!
Where was the second video taken? (By that big b&o Depot)?
point of rocks, maryland
U r awesome keep up the good vids man support from meh😝
Awesome!! I remember some!!! The one with the Kid screaming haaa but overall allot of great power dave!!!!
CSX453 the one with the kid screaming?? that was a LONG time ago!
Yes I know!!!
CSX453 it's funny you remember that haha. I remember him talking and screaming, but I don't remember what he looked like, or that you were there.... I guess my memory just aint what it used to be :-(
That sucks!! All good though Dave.
Love the ending. Didn't watch the whole thing but skipped too the end to give you the view.
Justin Voelker thx!
Those Conrails probably still aren’t around are they? 🥺 I’ve been wanting to see a real one forever. I just saw the heritage unit today but it feels different
Conrail locomotives are ridiculously rare these days but there are still a few out there and sometimes you can see “ex” units. But the Conrail Heritage Unit is a treat to see!
@@CRBTrains yep. I even from 3 months ago I haven’t even heard of a Conrail nearby except 8098
AWESOME loco shots!😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁🎈😁
Thank you very much!
Nice video
Where was Nickel Plate Road GEVO ES44DC on the Old CSX main line?
Jakob Robledo ES44AH**
Excellent Video Homie 😎
Thanks 💯
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR Your welcome Mr Man 😎
Nice stuff man
Appreciate it
5:04 Conrail!
Cool engines I sadly just see normal NS ES44AC and one racing another my mom won’t post because she said it’s not enough “room” or something I was on a VIA but I can’t record that because I was not aloud to record in the train
Loved and liked the video nice amazing
Thanks for liking
the best video by far
Very nice (so fare, haven't seen the whole thing.) Also at 1:00:50 thats the first time I have ever seen grafiti on a diesel locomotive. Only seen it on freight cars.
Beautiful Horns! How can 2 engines pull one car? AWESOME Norfolk Southern and CSX lash ups! I have CSX whittle Shortline Engines! 21:00 SD40-E3?
35:00 CSX 62 (2nd time)
35:10 same autorack as before
1321 isn’t a SD40E3
Sweet compilation Dave! I have max 20-25 minutes of footage of foreign power A lot has come through here but I'm just not there to get them like a some other RUclipsrs I know do
Captain Justice yeah, i'm sure. I've missed a ton, too! these have been collected over a few years. (I still have more, but I hit the max # of clips, plus it was close to the 2:10 limit, so I left it as is)
Yeah, I keep a close eye on heritageunits.com just in case any heritage units come through. But for other rare or foreign power, I have to rely on other RUclipsrs
Captain Justice I get a heads up every now and then, but that's very rare. basically, I just go somewhere and film whatever comes by.
Yeah same here
Awesome lasup at 4:50
Also nice Conrail. They don't use those anymore do they
No
Nice Video!
Great video
thx!!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR you’re Welcome mate
42:03 I know this was taken pre PSR, but is that the Nickel Plate Road on the old main at Gun road?
Edit: never mind it is, saw your individual video of it. Excellent catch as always
What is the road called that you were on at 25:40? I may film there sometime
JBtrainman Stockholm st. (warner st crossing) there is a fence there now, so you cant see the trains as well.
at 5:24 there is one company of train you forgot about, a rare CX SD70 MAC train.
WHOA! Red Lotus!

UP 6275 has been ssen on Canadian rails in the last 2 years
Nice Video
16:16 You just saw the movie star itself. AWVR 1206. The train that stopped AWVR 777 along with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad 6354,
I finally found this after 5 years! Go me!
Go you!! 👍
CSX 7580 was spotted at 33:13
How does a locomotive that has 6000hp work with a locomotive with 3000 hp?!
I’ve seen an AC44C6M linked up to a gp-38-3 in Indiana
10:52 9758 WAS IN UNSTOPPABLE AS 767
Actually 777
I love this video
Foreign power is awesome :)
Nice Great job
Thanks for the visit
have another question what is that yellow emblem on C.P. engines?
A beaver on top of a shield of a maple leaf

The video at 1:06 is very familiar to me. DC mainline south of Washington Union Station. :D
gravelydon yes, that's from L'Enfant plaza station
Why the 56 dislikes??? Foreign power is amazing!
Do you know when the shot at 5:04 was taken? I once got a cabride in that CR SD40-2 #3405.
Pittsburgh Mainline Productions feb, 2012. here's the full video - ruclips.net/video/T-MGv1RBAHQ/видео.html
BaltimoreAndOhioRR
Thanks!
FYI: The UP SD90MAC in the first shot is owned by NS.
Pittsburgh Mainline Productions oh yeah, I wasn't thinking, that they bought them all up. oh well, at least it was still in another railroad's paint.... I guess close enough haha
BaltimoreAndOhioRR there's still a few sd9043's on the UP. Saw one recently
Liked, Thumbs up + Shared! ^^
What year did you see that conrail at 5:03??
