Rant over. The burgers were fantastic, can't beat knocking up your own, far cheaper and better than McD and your BK these days- BK is eye watering prices now. Could agree more myself, this family are amazing people and so entertaining, their videos are the highlight of my week, my mum always said if you’ve got nothing nice to say then don’t say anything, all these people thinking they know everything, it’s them showing how they do things, you don’t always need to put your two pence worth in.

It's fair to say the quality of some of the supermarket burgers has improved. I used some from Tesco only yesterday, from their firepit BBQ range and they were nice. Morrisons meats were usually better than most as they used to run their own abattoirs though I'm unsure if they still do.
I use a Gourmia air fryer. It's only a top element but cooks meats very well. A lovely quick way to cook a burger, usually not taking much longer than it takes to prep the salad that you want with it.

So good to see you using a supermarket for the burgers. Our really local butchers have more or less all closed down so supermarkets are the only option, unless you want to drive miles to a Farm Shop with a screaming Havanese in his booster set behind you! I do so envy you having the luxury of a local butcher. x

Every time I make my own burgers, I convince myself they are so much better than McDonald’s. Then a few weeks later I go to McDonald’s and think , who am I try to kid 😂, double Big Mac the other night dripping down my fingers and onto the car seat , lovely…Mart don’t forget that sign for Sunday video ( welcome to paradise)

Tried your 'burger smashing' last time we had a BBQ after seeing it on your BBQ video. Omg what a difference it makes!!! Usually, the burgers are getting burnt whilst not cooked in the middle cos they're too thick and also don't cover the whole roll. It's a game-changer smashing it down. Cooks really quickly and you get a bit of burger in every bite!! Love it!! I've not been great the past few months, and honestly, you guys really keep me going. Thanks so much xxx

Ive just showed the ol' man the size of Martin's burger....he roared up😅!
We're big Wimpy fans, proper old school. I was a fan of a Bender and Chips (aww didn't you just love the innocence of the 70s?!!😅).
Every Thursday night I'd meet him after work at the foot tunnel (his pay day!) and if we didn't go for a Wimpy, we'd go to the American Burger Bar. Their burgers had used to have loads of fried onions. Lovely. But what won us over was they had ketchup AND French mustard on every table.😋
I'm nearly dribbling at the memory.. !

Hello my dear friends, we have been watching for a few weeks and think you are both great. However I did notice you both different last week and you could tell that people had been bothering you and I would like to say don't change. You are cooking in your kitchen and managed to bring up a lovely family with that cooking, and how you speak to each other is lovely. Don't change yourself for anyone, people who comment negative, then you can do without them, and maybe they should check their own hygiene and language, don't you bother with any of those silly comments, keep up the good happy channel xx
I just thought to mention also we are near Glasgow, so any time you are passing you are welcome for a coffee, I also just thought to mention, did you ever notice during lock down that the ones jumping away from people in terror incase they got the flu and were all mummified up from head to toe in the scorching sun with big masks on, well those people really really really needed a good bath and I noticed this all the time but it made me laugh sometimes, even if you got near to pick up a tin they absolutely jumped, just thought I would share that as people need to take a good look at themselves before judging and trying to take down others, have a great day xx

Was camping really that good. You couldn’t sleep hehe, bless you the weather is terrible, rubbish summer. Liked you music background. Burgers looked good. Team work, Martin , do these moaning folk what it takes to do these u tube progs. Don’t let these folk bother you. You know what you do and that’s all that matters.
I think you would love this addition as a topping on your hamburgers, or as a snack with crackers or....grilled in a sandwich. It is called
Here is the recipe. Delicious
PIMENTO CHEESE
1 8 oz brick of sharp shredded cheddar cheese and 1- 8 oz grated jack cheese or brick cheese with jalepenos ( whatever brick sheese you like )
don't buy the already grated as it has a coating on the cheese to keep it dry, but that coating casues the cheese mxitrue to get very wet if you use that. Always grate your own cheese.
1 4oz brick of room soft cream cheese
1 4oz jar chopped pimentos drained
1 cup mayo
1 tsp worstershire
1/4 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Mix altogether with your mixer or by hand so everything is incorporated. That is it, and it is delicious. You can eat right away or leave it overnight in the fridge - it tastes better the longer it sits.
It will last in the fridge for up to 5 days - if you are lucky! Let it sit out for half hour from the fridge, before servicng as an appetizer. The cream cheese softens up again.
This is a Southern US facourite staple - but we love it in Canada too!!
