Oh wow, this is an amazing idea and works like a charm! I did step it up a little bit. I glued both of the sides that are not sticky together so I ended up with a sticky sheet that is sticky on both sides. So now I have a sticky and grip mat in one. If you have a glass mat you can use it for ink blending, working with stencils etc. The paper crab’s on to the sticky mat but stencils won’t go anywhere either. Thank you so much for this great idea!
I just ran across this video for the second time, and I have to tell you how much I adore you and your attitude! You don't let things just sit around and have one single purpose. You wrap your brain around it and find more uses for things. Your imagination is unending!! I love all your comments. This stuff rolls around in my head all the time!! I think we're made from the same mold! Please don't ever stop doing what you're doing. We need you out here!! You make my day!
That’s ABSOLUTELY AWESOME IDEA!! Fellow South Carolinian here! I’m over in Lexington! You come up with the BEST IDEAS!! BIG HUGS! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you & yours!!
Don't quote me on this, but I believe Jennifer McGuires husband was a co- creator of the Press n Seal. She said it in one of her videos. I thought that was cool. I love that stuff. I won't go back too cling wrap.
This is a terrific idea, wish I'd seen it before I searched out the ones you buy. Every trip to the craft store has to be worth the gas, and then there's the clearance, and by the time I'm done that little item I came for is the least expensive thing I bought. I do love using a sticky sheet in my stamp platform. Thanks for the video.
I hear you girl ..same here😉😉😉my craft store is 1h15min away...I swear I’m like a dog going to the park as I pull up, if I had a tail I’d wag it clean off🐶 The pennies always have to stretch so there’s room in the cart for the good stuff. Almost all of my videos will have money saving ideas or techniques that will stretch your supplies further than the videos that are out there...did you know that you can mix alcohol inks into your embossing powders to make more custom colours? I have 2 videos demoing that 😉🤗🤗💕💕💕
Can't wait to try this! I'd been thinking of purchasing a sticky mat. No more, now. I also bought a bunch of laminating sheets so I can make some for friends
I think I'm being really thick because I can't visualize how I would use this. It looks brilliant, I just don't know how it's brilliant. Would you do a demo video of all the ways you'd use it?
I’m a little confused… so this is to make a sticky mat for our misti tools? I’m an older crafter, 72, so don’t always get directions the first time they’re explained. Will save it and watch again. Thanks
Greetings from South Africa. Thank you so much for this tip Sharon. Craft supplies in SA are very expensive so this is a perfect hack. In a recent post Jennifer McGuire uses a sticky mat when ink blending and spraying with water and mica sprays. This stops the card stock from warping.
you bet! Canada is a little harder and more expensive too, although not near what you would be experiencing. Stick with me here on this channel, all my videos are chock full of money saving tips and tricks..from making your own coloured embossing powders, to making glitter cardstock. Be brave with your supplies and you’ll find a small collection of crafty items can go for miles😉💕💕💕🤗 big hugs from Canada
I’ve been using sticky sheets in my stamping tools for a long time, but I use the electronic cutting machine mats, cut to size, any brand will do, always buy them when they are on sale though! Best of all they have a grid printed on them which makes things easy to line up. Really great tip using an acrylic sheet with the paper trimmer, my pet hate is slipped cuts!
Beverley, I do that, too - I use the ones which aren't sticky enough anymore to allow for the pushin' & shovin' that goes on in my Cameo. But even if I wanted to use a new one - they are available for 2 Euros a piece from Ali E ...

Great idea I use press and seal a lot to create words with my letter dies ...using a 2nd sheet of press and seal to apply the glue and then glue the words onto the card...so will try this with the laminating sheets...thank you for the great idea...
Is there a y.t. vid out there that demos what you’re referring to? I’ve G O T to lay out a saying that I need for a cancer patient’s card, and can’t find a way to get my computer to do the deed with an appropriate font!! MANY thanks for your input!

Sharon you have saved my life! Lol...just a bit of an exaggeration but it will help heaps. I had laminated one of my misti grid papers so I could wipe off stray ink easily and that worked well so then I thought about the press'n'seal. Only thing I came up with was to wrap it around and tape it down...it's not great but sort of does the job. This will fix it perfectly!! Quick question: was it you who showed a tip for how to use Zyron double sided tape refills without their machine? I saw it on RUclips a while back and cannot for the life of me remember who it was OR more importantly how to do it! I know it had me speechless so I'd love to find it again. When doing the press n seal idea, I'd first laminate a grid sheet. Then apply the press n seal.
Simply LOVE this idea!
