My VLOGS get an average view duration around 15 minutes with 40k views, and I agree with what you have said. I don't think you can stress the importance of a good intro enough, I want my videos to feel like they slap the viewers in the face and say "hey! Pay attention!!" As soon as they hit play.
Your videos are always piled full of great information and editing. You find a great balance between informing and entertaining. May we all learn your ways!

This channel will blow up. At the moment of writing this comment it has 10.1K subs. I know, I know - subs itself are not that important, but I am curious how it will grow within a few months.
I wake every morning at 3 or 4am to be able to work because once my little girl is awake, there's no way I can get any decent work done. So here goes mummy to the spare bedroom at the @ss crack of dawn to edit a video she filmed previously... planning to throw it on RUclips like always... but she watches this video and WOW! mummy is now full of inspiration and ideas why she needs to do it completely differently! Can't film now because I don't want to wake the chimp up but using this time to plan my next video which will be a lot more epic than it was going to be. You're an absolute champion! I think you're already monetized. But looking at your channel, I think you can make better thumbnails. Music videos like yours get a lot of attention but your thumbnails don't look that good to me. I think improving them will improve your views and watch time too because of higher click through rate.
I really liked how you used the visual effects at just the right times to keep my attention. it also seems, like you mastered the sudden watch time crash at the end of videos. you utilizes every second of this video to keep me hooked until the last second, BRAVO!!!👏 I got just as much info from studying your video as a whole than the content/message you delivered!
Unfortunately, RUclips comment section have mostly become a cesspool and it's hard to determine what viewers are actually thinking when studying other channels... :( MrBeast recommended posting on Twitter and reading comments there (assuming the channel you are looking at also posts on their Twitter and have large followers), since they are a better indicator of the audience opinions.
Last week a binge watched so many of your videos! And tried to put everything I learnt into my video that I was editing for last Friday as best I could. I got my AVD duration from 46% up to 56% 😍 and my graph for the first time looked pretty much straight with a small dip at the start and a small dip at the end. @@DeeStoppa oh I'm afraid I've not watched an editing tutorial for a long time and my editor Greg did all of the cool stuff on this video. He did that was using After Effects, if you have the Adobe creative cloud there are tonnes of tutorials on RUclips that'll help, if not you could check out Davinci Resolve, the free version has the ability to make such effects on too.

10k subs? Not quite there yet. When you say open captions do you mean you added them to the actual video in the edit or new captions inside RUclips?
