"You're not jazzin' me, are ya?" That line delivery with his dropped expression got me. Lol
FACTS!
jazz, get it? get it?
I remember when Arizona was the only state not to recognize Martin Luther King day.
Comedian Chris Rock said, “how racist do you have to be to not want a day off from work with pay?”
Never got that day off with pay, but I did see a half black man only get half the day off. Lol
@@stephenhodson9459 lol wuuuut
I think Chris Rock said that.
@@macmacreynolds8712 , I believe you are 100% correct!
I thought that was Alabama?
classic sandler. "you lucky bastards" LMAO
Seriously that was the funniest line in the sketch!
They made a mistake firing him.
“I’ll make a call and rustle up one more ticket”
“You’re not jazzin’ me are ya?” 😂
if only Sandler would stay in his voice and not migrate to falsetto singing and speaking
The speed and grace of Sandler noticing the black guy behind him and switching gears literally makes this whole skit XD
Old school style sandler is untouchable. Id love a billy madison or happy gilmore 2
best is hey here's a wallet oh there's cash in it.
Lies again? Moscow Love King
Lol yep 🤣
You're joking right? Adam barely got his lines out when entering the scene.
He admits he's no actor. You must be high, or a totally idiot
"I got rid of all those Kwanzaa books everybody gave me." That line is too freaking funny
Just from your name here I knew I would see a guy w an acoustic guitar 🎸 nothing against it but the whole emo songs and read alongs isn't that super dark and sad?? My kids went thru that phase and when ppl my age did we were called goth we were emo w some violent tendencies lol 😆
I dream of the day when people of all colors can just go to Atlantic City and get drunk together
I don't believe that's how it goes but good dream anyways. :)
I may not get there with you.
*On MLK day
Ill drive lets go! Lol
There’s a lot to do here!!!
“Hey uh I went in on that so that’s kinda from both of us.” Lmfao
That's sooo Adam S.
Lol love adam sandler
Yo man how you doin brotha.... stayin motivated I hope.... 💯
😂
I'm gonna remember that one. LOL
Sandler was so good. The way he was like no seriously and turns his head and immediately says but that speech thing sounds good too
With nary a pause nor change in tone.
This sketch was ahead of its time
Ahead of it’s time? I don’t think they could pull this off now with the ever increasing cultural melting pot of a cast anymore. I’m glad SNL is changing with the times but a lot of folks are not about that at all.
No, it wasn't. Shit just never changes.

Back when the actors on SNL didn't stare at cue cards off-stage for the entire sketch.
Steve W haven't watched SNL for many years and may their producer catch Gonnorhea and burn in hell.
@Steve W. THIS. I don’t know why they do that
@@AugustusFloop Almost every actor since 1975 have used cue cards. They're using them here - some timestamps below. You just don't notice because of the old, small stage. They moved to the current stage in 2003, which is like twice the size of the original.
So the people with cue cards probably went from standing 10 feet away in 1975, to twenty or even more in 2003 with a lot more cameras in the way. I'm guessing they went from being able to stand pretty much where an actor's line of sight should be, to being stationary where ever they fit. Some people couldn't even read them before which probably got them booted off - like Farley. Nearsighted, dyslexic and color blind. He couldn't read them at all and did improve, which often didn't end well - like when Spade almost abandoned the sketch in the van by the river sketch. So most people use the cards, even if just to help them.
Timestamps:
0:16 - he reads his line right from a card and only looks away to interact with the scene at the end
0:38 - Daniels looks past Elliot offscreen for 2 seconds, right before his line
1:40 - Sandler's eyes keep darting away from them to his right, and even his head moves a bit
1:48 - Daniels looks over Sandler's head for a couple seconds
And I'm tired of looking, but it's easy with it full screen and top resolution. The skit is great, but they do use cue cards quite often. Meadows seems to be the only one who memorized them, which I don't understand how, considering how fast and rushed the writing process is.
@@Harley-and-Her-Ruff-Riders Long answer for something I wasn't asking lol. The OP is referring to actors facing the front camera the entire time instead of facing each other like here
They did
This one was so funny and they did a pretty good job of hiding their guilt. Jeff Daniels is one of my favorite people on this planet!

And Chris Elliott

I forgot about this one, Tim Meadows had a bunch of great one-off sketches. That Weatherman one was awesome too.
Princess and the Homeboy
This is an underrated scene. You can tell the crowd was too uncomfortable to laugh 😂
It was the season ('94-'95) that was terrible and the crowds weren't laughing much.

Pull the front off to get the key board and use the handle as a stand to prop it up they were awesome with their 5 inch screens lol
White people still dont care
And..they were about 10 times the price you paid for your most current one.

Chris Elliott has been around forever
I forgot he was in There's Something About Mary. I always remember him from Scary Movie 2 lol. And How I Met Your Mother (Lily's dad)
This is classic Tim Meadows and fun to see all the greats in this skit. As much as I enjoy the original cast, this era was the best for SNL.
Their acting was much better than today, not looking directly to the teleprompter, real acting you know, it feels real...
I think they spend way too much time on re-writes today than back then. Back then movies were also often made faster. Now that doesn't mean it's always good, a lot of old sketches could have used more work, but it would have compromised their acting. Still, I think it's a good trade since a bunch of actors doesn't make it too obvious that they're reading cue cards and I think more sketches work as a result
These people were better at improvisation too. Later stars like Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell and Bill Hader were brilliant at this
Real
@@JachAnen you nailed it. Current show is literally rewriting on the fly just before dress.

That thing will heat up your sandwich like a mothereffer!
Saw the first portable computers. To large to call laptops. Weighed 50 pounds, and had less memory and storage than your cellphone, with a screen not much bigger than a smart phone. And they cost over $5,000.
I still have one of those from 1995 in my basement. Windows 95 still on it. Except the floppy disk got warped and no longer works.
i wrote my college thesis on a “Compaq portable”. DOS operating system, before Windows. Green screen. It was neither compact nor portable, though it had a case with a carrying handle. It was the size of what today would be a large desktop PC.
When I was a child it was the really ancient times-we didn’t have computers at all.
This couldn't be aired today.

@@Rob-to4mu Yep. Way less racism in every direction back then. It's been more and more ridiculous ever since Obama.
Why does young Adam Sandler seem so unbelievable as a business man
Maybe it's because his shirt is four sizes too big. Or maybe it's because he claims to read on the weekend.

Because at the time he hadn't even finished first grade yet.

'I'll bring some stooges tapes' hahahaha
It is just me or they know their lines? it is really hard to tell if they are reading cue cards or not.
They always used cue cards, but just as backup. The actors always learned their lines. Nowadays, they use cards as the prime source of their lines; that's why they're always staring into space when they're supposed to be talking to each other. People are just more lazy and hubristic and spoiled rotten divas these days, blaming their hectic schedules for their lack of talent.
That’s actually what’s going on right now 😳😂😂😂
