@@tarahamrick9252 And what is the problem with rocking forward this much? Did you know that there is a sport called street lifting, where the weighted dip is a main lift? Can you quote the relevant sentence from the rulebook which says that this lift is not valid ("half rep")?

@@StrengthGene i bet i won't, i will be happy with 90/92.5 but last week i've started mathew zlat's training plan which seems to be extremely effective. It is about doing Chin ups and dips three times a week

@@bigc3719 rep ranges are 5-8, you should start with weight that you can do easy 10 reps. Plan assumes doing weighted calisthenics 3 times a week, it gave me rapid progress but because of training 3 times a week on high intensity i have problem with Pec and biceps insertions. Summing up this plan od great for progress but not everyone can manage this weekly volume.
@@pawem8055 yeah I think weighted 3x a week is a little much, right now I only do heavy Dips and Pulls once a week, any more than that seems to mess with my tendons etc. At the end of the day it's a strain on your body and 3x a week is alot! Maybe I'll try 2x a week at first. Does he say to train dips and pulls on the same workout or separately? If it's separately then that means you're doing dips pulls dips pulls dips pulls rest...? Seems like alot

Very impressive! What are your thoughts on resisting retraction & spinal extension and maintaining protraction & spinal flexion for the concentric part of the dip, making the “bar” path for the eccentric and concentric as similar as possible? (better for strength/hypertrophy?)

I am confused - how deep does the hip have to go in order to count as a complete rep? I was under the impression hip depth has to be below the dip handle.
It should be below the top of the dip handle to account for different bar thicknesses.

brother how do you deal with low bar dips?. My gym has very low bars and when i dip with my legs straight i touch the floor with my feet.
There's 2 options: Find a higher dip station or train with the lower one. And if there's no higher dip station, then you're forced to train with the lower one.
And there's a few very strong streetlifters that have trained with lower dip stations. The form can still be executed relatively well. Thickness of plates and center of mass will be more of a factor though but it doesn't mean you can't get strong with bent-leg dips.

If you got incorrect form, sure that could happen.
Si ton corps est conditionné, echauffé, que t'as fait tes montées en gammes sans genes/douleur, et que tu utilises une forme correcte, ce n'est vraiment pas dangereux et l'hernie est une des dernières blessures possible sur ce mouvement par odre de priorité.
C'est son sport et il s'entraîne pour ça, un random sédentaire qui fait un faux mouvement en sortant de son lit à bien plus de chance de faire une hernie que ce mec.
Donc si c'est malin, c'est sa discipline et effectuer des 1rm en streetlifting c'est quelque chose de fréquent et si vent réfléchis/preparé. Ce n'est pas la même chose qu'un go muscu/crossift ou autre qui va tester un 1rm sans conditionnement spécifique.
