      Earl I have people after me for it 🤣🤣🤣 let them jump me it's fine I won't fight back call tye police and get big payout then you have upset them and they do it again and more compo and they get locked up I'm passed all tye fighting stage I'm not a teenager no more lol. Let them come yes it will hurt but in the long run I will win unless they kill me but doubt they would go that far over worms or fish 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Hi there i see you fish the west wales area. Iv started fishing in borth can you recommend a good place local toborth to pump fresh worm. P s ur videos are great keep up the good work

      Hello Ashley, I was going down south Wales to pump my worm. The bed I was pumping is gone now unfortunately I went back around 7 months ago and couldn't find a single worm so I don't have anywhere to go at the moment.

    When pulling the handle up it helps to really snap the last 6 inches.... honestly it makes a huge difference...

      Thanks for the advice rob I personally have tried it I heard that of a few but it didn't seem.to male any difference for me but I appreciate the comment others may read this and give it a go and it may work for them

    Very informative have been trying to pump now for 4 years just can't get it right can now get 20 to 40 in a tide .find it good exercise . But I will get there in the end.

      That's it Stephen never give in this video I had 30-50 max the next day I had 300+ it's not always your fault it can be on the day. If you dont go often like me it's hard to land on those good days.

    a totally honest and great video ... but does anyone wonder how long lugworms blow or black take to grow/reproduce and if also many persons are out on the beach looking / collecting for them is it any wonder if they have diminished in number ? ... Are there any regulations to control / regulate this ? .. a great honest video

      Theres no regulations unfortunately Albert. Lug beds to get destroyed then pumpers move on to the next beach.
      I dont go very often and don't keep any worms under 6-7" under that size and there not breeders yet.

      Commercial bait digging is what wipes out lugworm beds .

    Bought a DS pump last week just waiting to find the time to go to same spot when the tides get a bit bigger

      Yes you definitely need the bigger tides. It's been bad lately Someone else told me he didn't get one the week maybe been over pumped again

      It doesn't matter rich and side of the cast is ok. I have heard it's not been pumping well this video was around 5-6 month ago

    Great pumping video, this. We use veg oil but that's just a preference. Same technique, tho. Nice 1 m8 👍✌️

      Thank you I do think veg oil is more environmentally friendly tbh but I have been advised to use fairy I may give the veg oil a go and see but it's not water soluble so clogs the pump and destroys seals non stop

      @@C3BFA I use a home made copper pump so I'm not sure about the seals on pro pumps but I've not had any issues so far, I just compress a load of kitchen sealant between the washers, if wares down I just squirt more in and recompress. Main reason I use it is I get it cheaper than I get fairy. I'm going to be looking for foaming now you've said it haha 🤣👍

      I cant imagine what fairy liquid does to the flounder razorfish starfish crabs sole. Its an extremely concentrated detergent. Can us anglers please try cooking oil if it works.

    How can you tell blow from blacks ? I go down pendine quite a bit but never know which ones which

      @@CaughtUpInFishing blows have a messy cast and a blow hole very close by and normally they are further up the beach near the top.
      Blacks only have a cast and generally it's a neater cast and they are down by the sea over low tides spring tides are best for them
      But blacks are a lot harder to find compared to blows

      @CaughtUpInFishing blow lug are more of a brown colour. Black lug are black so times with a yellowish tail

    Is there no blow hole for black lug? Sorry I'm new to pumping. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Great video!! Really nice quality of worms there.

      No just a neat cast for black lug with no blow hole. . Blow lug have a messy cast and a blow hole

      Ye it's a good feeling getting your own well I have only been out about 16 times the videos was my first session and around my 8th or 10th session ever
      Just stay for the whole tide and don't give in
      I get there 2 hours before low and stay till tide pushes me off and go on spring tides

      I soak my baits in them John added scent and saves wasting the guts, there is bait tutorials on the channel there about 1 year ago showing how i wrap them and you can see the juice

    cracking video mate, how long do you get at low water before the tide pushes you off, im new to pumping and very wary of the incoming tide, cheers mark

      I normally get to the chosen beach 2 hours before low and stay as long as I can after. Which is generally 2 hours. I find the best time Is once the tide has turned and it's flooding the worms seem to cast like mad

      They are great pumps mark. I do have videos on the channel for rebuilding them if you ever need to change seals

    Great video mate. I’ve got the old style pump that is bigger than the one you have. Dose that make a difference when you use a smaller diameter pump?

      I use to use a wide bore pump. Your arm feels like its going to fall off after a session. Thinner bores feel better on your arm after a session and tge worm is alot better to see

      I can imagine it's sucking up more sand so a lot heavier. I love this pump very easy to use and effective

    At 2.25 I think you did get the worm on final pump but it was covered in mud. Take another look.

      Try pumping bels you don't have to go that deep with pump the suction gets them

    You need a surf running when the winds in the westyou should do ok when its east its a struggle probably 70% down

    What is the reason to gut the worms?

      It's when your freezing them down. If you leave the guts in the worm rots fast it goes all mushy and it really don't take long.
      If you had less in the bucket and an inch of water they will last longer. But I freeze mine to use later

    I never use fairly liquid in the pump.
    It seems to attack the worm and only fills the lug bed with chemicals.

      My worms are fine and I'm sure boats burning fuel and releasing exhaust gases in to the sea would do a lot more damage than a drip of fairy liquid. I have tried other stuff and it don't work it clogs the pump up

      I must admit I did use fairy the first few times but realised it's designed to attack organic matter. That's how it cleans your dishes!
      Then tried veg oil which worked just as good but didn't find it clogs anything up as I always wash the pump inside with warm soapy water between sessions.
      What pump do you use buddy?
      I use an Alvey 30mm but it seems a bit hard work so I'm thinking a 22mm for the winter when they're a bit deeper.
      Around my way the worms are sometimes 18" deep!

      I sometimes use some live. But most of it is frozen for winter fishing it saves me £100s in bait
