Great instruction...What density of the brush works best ....? Using my own brush with only Kanekelon wig hair...the fly didn't wiggle when stripped straight , the tail reacted more than the body.

Hey there! I like to make my game changers with Congo hair ( ep fibres) it holds more water and helps the fly to anchor in the water more and helps with movement. I also like to blend Kanekalon with Congo and angel hair 50/40/10 ratio ish 😉 it helps create a lighter version easier to cast but still hold some water

The difference between a good and bad haircut is only 2 weeks. A bad haircut for this means start again.

Norbert, thank you for another great and informative session. What line weight would you recommend to use with a 12wt to cast those big changers? I got a 12wt this winter to use for musky this year. Not really because the fish is big but more to have better control of the fish and not to wear the fish out too much. The line I will use is 400gr and 450gr intermediate and sink tip. Going only into my second year fly fishing, so only time on the water will tell if I will survive the 12wt days. I used 10wt last year. Do you think 400gr and 450gr line will work for those?

Hey i fish mostly ten weight but will try out the 12 to cast those bigger flies this year. On recommendations i opted for the Scientific Angler Sonar musky in 500gr. I am waiting for this line to get to me, i will try it out to see how it goes. Will keep you posted on the upcoming videos ;)

Hi Norbert, thanks a lot for the inspiration you give to everyone! I discovered your channel recently and I watch your videos with great interest. I fish a lot in the city centre and English suburbs so the hooks get dull quite quickly so the tube fly is really necessary. I take a lot of inspiration from your flies for my tube flies and they work Du feu de dieu!. Your jake pike is simply a killer !
