    Trimming tip; put the eye of the hook in the vise and hold the tail so the body is straight. Much easier.

    Really like that technique for the tail!

    Nice fly. I don't understand why tyers destroy an expensive shank, when a crappy old hook would work just fine? I use mustad 3366 for a tail shank. Tight lines

    Great looking fly m8!!
    I have saved a lot of money by using cheap "jewlery pins" and make tail shanks with them. It is just "cut to length" and bend. You get 50-100 for like 1-2$.

    Why do so many people say palmer for wrapping a material? A pamer is a specific thing, i.e. a hackle wound in open turns along the body of a fly, like on a woolly bugger or traditional wet fly.

    Just tied a couple of Game Changers in a class yesterday. This variation looks very nice! Any recommendation on pens for adding color?

    What size of fibers for articulated sections? Nobody says what size they use, unless I missed something.

    • @beantea5592
      @beantea5592 10 месяцев назад

      It depends on the size of the fly but I just use the medium or large finesse chenille and trim as needed
