As usual, Storm proofs once more why she is the Omegas' Omega. Every other Omega benefit from her powers in this specific moment when she released her wrath on Nimrod. I have to say that I absolutely love how things are building and going for Synch, almost like they are building him for the Omega status himself. Capable of synching with another Omega across the universe. Literally, Storm is somewhere near Mercury and the sun, and he is back on Earth and is able to synch with Storm's powers across the galaxy. That is an AMAZING achievement for Synch. Really proud with him, from the moment he started using his power differently and changing his way of thinking, I absolutely love how he is written so far.

X-men ain't even the only team with "former"villains on it...Avenger's got or had Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Falcon/Captain America, maybe can even count Vision & Hulk somewhat...Thought it was pretty cool that Marvel actually successfully rehabilitates some of their villains..
Good point. The one caveat I'd make is most of those Avengers that were former villains did crimes that pale in comparison to things Magneto, Apocalypse or even Wolverine did.
@@bajansamurai Yeah, among all the villains that became heroes, the Avengers' prior wrongs are easier to redeem than the X-mens' by far...I guess the X-men are already outcasts that are treated like villains anyway & that the mutant population they represent is always low & on the verge of extinction...That probly makes heroes & even the worst villians among them more desparate & willing to unite more...Since for them it's arguably more about survival than morals...Definately makes for some interesting stories though...

Got into a conversation over on comicsexplained about Spawn vs Ghost Rider and ended up having to use Storm vs Apocalypse's wife and that it isn't about the amount of power you wield, but how it's used.
That applies in so many more ways than you even know. Levels of power is half the equation, we often forget some things naturally aren't effective against other things, less versatile or are not precise enough and have too many dangerous side effects to even use in certain situations.
Often, it's also a lesser secondary ability that secures a win from a loss on paper or a standoff. E.g., a slight durability edge that let's a 100 ton puncher take down a 110 ton puncher.
I don’t understand why there are some people taking Nimrod’s comment about Cyclops being a “Omega mutant” as a reference to his power scale seeing as Cyclops is the only one able to penetrate his exterior.
I read it as omega, in that, and all of Nimrod’s simulations, Cyclops was always the last mutant to die standing, with his special edition Black Air Force 1’s still on.
Was pretty clear to me there as well. Omega as in "end" - last mutant standing, not a power level description in the least.

Yes but also... how in the world is cyclops the last man standing when he has no super durability? And how is he the only one that can damage nimrod when others are stronger? Wolverine is cononically the last mutant alive, has adamantium claws and a healing factor. How he falls before cyclops is insano.
And also also... why use the word omega in an xmen comic? Especially a run of xmen that largely focuses on omega mutants....
@@bestblerd5042 Some of the terms used honestly made little sense beyond the immediate fight since mutants everywhere else were still trading blows with Orchis, Sentinels and his other two deployed forms, but at the very least the outcome of all the back and forth through time was to arrive at a conclusion that the future with Logan we saw isn't going to happen.
In the simulations if everyone was there Cyclops wouldn't have been upfront and center to get squished or fried like Wolverine often is anyway, so his ranged attacks and the several human shields around him would have probably went down before he did, as he coordinated attacks.
Either way for thus particular fight everyone else that was around was already knocked down or called away strategically, and Cyke was the last against him.
I read earlier in an article that Nimrod said Scott is an Omega mutant because his tactical skills and his mind are Omega threats to him...not necessarily his power itself.
@@ZeeB... sounds like whatever that article was selling was a stretch since others strategize on his level that are humans or human mutates. There's no such thing as unlimited capacity to strategize.
Either way, what counts is the definition of his power, and Nimrod was not referring to omega class abilities in this scenario anyway.

Woah woah let’s give Cyclops his credit here! His optic blast cracked Nimrod armor for storm to finish off. The teamwork and hot tag from Storm and cyclops was lit. Nimrod himself said in every simulation of this battle Scott lasted the longest.
Nimrod also realized he got it wrong, but either way you are right. The reason Storm could get into the circuit of Quantum entanglement between his various bodies is because of Cyke's cracks.
I guess lightning works differently on its own because we've seen Nimrod busted down to slag before, but it was this specific way of being exposed that tapped Storm's electricity through him and Mag/Pol holding it in place that allowed the all around feedback loop that burned them all out.
Synch didn't do this before because there are very specific conditions allowing Storm's abilities to have this great of an effect, and Magneto/Polaris effect on another aspect of Nimrod to keep the exploit live across the entire circuit.

If I could write an X-book, using the X-Inmate title, it would be about the Stepford Cuckoos, M, Wolverine (X-23), Quintin Quire, with Synch leading in the field and Askani as the “guy in the chair” monitoring the Telepathic Network as they search the world for Charles Xavier. Meanwhile, Xavier, knowing his time is short and his most talented students are on his trail, is traveling across the globe making amends with people he had crossed in his quest for paradise. He is determined to go to the grave absolved, and his apology tour begins with his very first enemy, Cassandra Nova.

I think that they dropped the ball with magneto. He had a great story dealing with his inner demons and guilt . He also had a resurrection that seemed promising from the jump start the the statement “I am power”, then for me the story dropped. I was hoping to see a new level of power or something.
It didnt read to me like she created that dagger from electricity, rather, she was weilding one of her personal daggers and channeling electricity through it.

I just want to let you know, I am the opposite of people on twitter or angry folks. I appreciate these videos so much. I love all of it to be honest. Are there flaws...of course but I am a hugantic fan no matter what. I said before but Storm is beyond badass right now and I couldn't possibly love her more. But I just wanted to say thank you for what you do. I look forward to this every time you do one of these videos. Like my best friend I don't know. Just huge thank you sir. Also...my only real complaint...MARVEL...is the issue order of the fall of x. Every book says something different. It is annoying. I will collect a graphic of this story as well just so I can get the real reading order. But lastly....love it all. X-men until I die. i hope you check out the upcoming Queen Series soon to air as a retelling of the ACTUAL HISTORY of the Rain Queen Modjadji of the Balobedu..who is arguably the inspiration or equivalence of Ayesha of Balobedu(Storm's Sorcecer Supreme ancestor) and she too could make it rain..like Storm is tied to actual living history

He didn't bring them out because those are backups incase something happens to his active bodies, but what was done by all of them affected those as well. He didn't plan for that.
Storm is a legacy character in Marvel Comics. However, after the pathetic Fall of X, I wonder how long she'll be forefront. Because Marvel decided to leave Krakoa, a lot of mutants will be sidebar characters again. Just like pre-Krakoa. Marvel should of never left Krakoa.

This one of the better issues. As much as I love the Krakoa Era. I'm going to buy a lot of these From The Ashes era books.

I must say having Storm and Synch working together was very pleasing as well as Polaris with both Magneto and Storm. I’ve always hoped Storm and Polaris would do some damaged together like back in giant size. Anyway…Storm defeating Nimrod was not a surprise to me…I mean even in the XMN TAS it was Storm who defeated Nimrod when he came from the future following Bishop. At the end of the day it is nature and the elements that brings the destruction which is why I didn’t trip, like many did, when Storm did not appear when Nimrod attacked Krakoa. I’ve been reading "reading" these comics for so long that, after a certain point in the arc, I can just about predict the ending story but I do love Storm and she is the main reason why I continue to read them. Yes! I am guilty of looking at the pretty pictures (if they’re pretty enuff) and just read the parts dealing with and focusing around Storm. Only other characters I’d read is Gambit, Psylocke and Sage…tbh I really skip through to the pages of them. I rely on Blerd for the rest😂

I believe Nimrod never brought out more than 3 bodies because he doesn't care that much about winning a specific battle. He had no idea the electrical surge would transfer to all bodies, so had he lost those 3 in direct combat with Storm/Cyke, Synch and Mags/Polaris, 12 hours later he'd probably have X-Men Galaed the lot of them unawares.

I wish we got a Apocalypse vs Nimrod as a final battle but I'm always happy to see that they are showing storm off (also the only Mutate right now that hasn't died if not mistaken) and Cyclopes was he always saying "storm" would not let him die or "Jean" 🤔 but like you said Krakoa seems perfectly fine and almost everyone is back on the island and hopefully Omega Sentinel will turn good like they really should have done with Sabertooth killed him and resurrected the "Axis" version him.
Also where TF is Rasputin🤨 unless she too was on the island and Congratulations Cyclops is now in the OM scale joining his wife 👏.

so storms lightning effected nimrod so much because cyclops cracked nimrods armor. storm exploited not only the crack but also the way nimrod communicates between him selves. data transfer being just energy and it being instant means no buffers. synch didn't use storms power until polaris and magneto made all the nimrods lightning rods.

Sometimes I’m on the fence with Gerry Duggan i.ehis run on Iron Man other times I loved his work i.e Savage Avengers but I mostly enjoyed his X-men work and I think this issue just for the way he handled Cyclops and Storm fighting Nimrod alone is my favorite part of the run

In regards to the comment about Omega SEntinel, I think I would appreciate this change in morality more if it was an active choice as opposed to the cliche "we're welcoming you back because you couldn't help your programming/mind control" angle. Rogue, Magneto, Gambit, Emma Frost hell even Danger and Cassandra Nova made choices as antagonists, but even when they turned a new leaf, there was a sense that it was there choice. And they still had to contend with the consequences of their actions from other characters. Storm and Kate still don't like Emma, but they respect her because she's proven that she will support them. Same for Gambit, Rogue, Magneto, and even Apocalypse. Here's hoping the writers don't gloss over Omega Sentinel's actions.
Krakoa will always be for all mutants, and Storm, well, Storm, clench those cheeks.

The krakoa Era Lived & Died with Hickman. We want Krakoa alive because it’s the freshest & best look on the X-men since AVX! That’s almost a decade of boring non consequential or landmark moving storytelling .
Vetoing Hickman away & off the books/ whole idea of Krakoa pushed the X-men back into Great idea’s crappy ass story telling.
After Sins of Sinister it was all garbage to me. No plot line built up and foreshadowed went anywhere until it was time to wrap up the Krakoa era. Which is a huge inditement in the creative team not being very creative and short sighted.
They’ve smashed all these loose plot holes together at the end, and it’s all so meh. Like how Xmen stories are squally Meh with a hint of fan fare.
So yes the Krakoa era needs to end, because they don’t know what to do with it as it’s already been sabotaged to continue . Its foundation isn’t stable enough.
Glad you enjoyed Blerd, I just felt like this was an ultra rushed and hella anticlimactic finale.
Hopefully Rise of the Power of X is a more solid conclusion.

When trial wrapped, Magneto parted ways with them to handle other business with Orchis, then eventually went to help Stark. It's likely Blue Marvel is simply punching holes in Sentinels in some other location since many heroes started rallying to protect the world from Orchis's escalation. He, Storm and Magneto never made some official team that he'd be here specifically.

Jean's pretty much got fifty-eleven kids and hasn't once delivered any of them herself in the 616 😂. She pretty much just played the daddy role for Hope and the Phoenix's conception; Rachel is the daughter of an alternate version (believed to be the Phoenix in Jean form at that); Cable, of course, was born from her clone; and X-Man seemed to be a test tube baby from her AoA genes.
616 Jean herself just never seems to want those stretch marks.

Gotta remember there's an actual translation for "Alpha and Omega" that means the "beginning and end", not just a matter of how powerful a mutant is. Krakoa has Cyclops ranked exactly where he is: an Alpha Class mutant Concussive force projector.
Nimrod said that because of Scott's tactical ability and tenacity is a big threat to nimrod. Not so much Scott powers.

Horrible ending. Should have been a clash of the super powers, ie, Nimrod vs Uranos. The current writing since last year should be setting up that fight as well as Children of the Vault facing Apocalypse or Uranos vs Apocalypse.
