Viewtiful Joe is genuinely one of the best games ive ever seen and played. the gameplay's great, the character designs are great, the ost is amazing and its all made better with the cel-shaded art style
Played the game in the GC back in the 2000s with the kids and we loved it. We still have the game somewhere at home and will play it again sometime this year. I believe there is a Viewtiful Joe 2, but we didn't get a chance to play that.
I don't know if this is your footage, but I noticed that while using zoom /slow punch you keep pressing the punch button. You can just hold the punch button and it'll do a combo. That's one of zooms ability's, it allows you to just press and hold.
DID SOMEONE SAY VIEWTIFUL JOE?! That game is a classic, it's absolutely amazing, one of the greatest games ever made, in a era where games like it were commonplace and could be as much of a success as their mainstream counterparts. I'm still waiting for a remaster of the games and clover's god hand
Just a heads up; the English adaptation of the _Vietiful Joe_ anime aired in the USA as well. I think it was on WBKids (or CWKids: I don't remember when they switched names) weekday afternoon program block. That I watched as an adult, and why I eventually got the first two GCN games. ^^' If the video said that, I misunderstood, and though the video stated that it had aired in Japan but was only available on video in the States.
I don't think Viewtiful Joe is an underrated game. It's more of a forgotten classic. It's without a doubt a great game that has helped reinvent the 2D beat-em-up side-scrolling genre.
I was back there when Vieutiful Joe was released on the Gamecube. Sadly never picked up the 2nd game, thought it was gonna be a good franchise and later regretted it. But I did support the first game and happy I played Viewtiful Joe back in the day.
I played this game so much I reached the money limit and got 99 lives. One of my favorite games of all time. Hi fi rush is probs the only game that feels closest to a new viewtiful joe. They're different but similar at the same time
I loved Viewtiful Joe. I just regret never picking up the sequel when I had the chance. Wasn’t there also another sequel for the DS? Guess I’ll stay tuned to find out.
Capcom Production Stuidio 4???? As in "CPS". Thee CPS that is famous for it's 2D power? "4" ironically coming after CPS3 and SF3? Maybe I'm just tripping 🤷🏾
I am playing this on my oled steam deck it’s pretty fun, some of the levels and bosses can be annoying though. Some of the enemies have weird quirks to find to defeat, jumping with that school bus is annoying. But this capcom is way better than current era capcom. Capcom nowadays is trash with its 360 gummy fighter 6 and its $100 costumes. They refuse to give us anything vs street fighter now.

I am begging Capcom to release these games to modern systems, Viewtiful Joe is amazing
Viewtiful Joe on Switch would smack
People loved playing Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2. Those games were wild back in the day.
Underrated and also brutally difficult at times
True thats what make it better 😂
Zack & Wiki was an incredible game that no one talks about.
I did a cosplay of Viewtiful Joe almost 10 years ago.

Viewtiful Joe 1&2 So need a remaster release in modern consoles like yesterday

I think it's really sad that Joe hasn't been heard from since Marvel vs Capcom 3. This was a great video, keeping the memory of a great series alive.
I beat this game so many times. Put alot of time into this gem
He deserves to be a Guest character in the Street Fighter games

Thank you making this video. I miss these 2 games to this days.
nobody underestimates this game
Viewtiful Joe as one of the best OSTs I’ve ever heard.
How do you guys feel now knowing Joe is voiced by Claus the fish from American Dad?
04:49 Auto Modellista and Red Dead Revolver were a couple of titles Capcom were planning around this time.

This was my favorite game on Gamecube. I played this every day and mastered this game. Wish it came back on Switch!
Henshin a go-go baby! one of my faves.
I can’t accept the fact that Viewtiful Joe is underrated.
Me neither both the game and the show was great.
That game is so Hard!
I still havent beat it yet.
@@rashadknight But you still have fun loosing.

Forgot all about this game, memories unlocked
I bought viewtiful Joe 2 at TooManyGames. That game still feels fresh and more fun than many modern games.
Viewtiful joe was such a great game!
I absolutely loved playing this series and PN 03

Great game I brought it release day and was not disappointed. The difficulty caught me off guard though despite being fair it was brutally hard.
Not only is the game underrated THE ANIME IS UNDERRATED TOO
honestly needs a remaster idk how it has not gotten remastered yet
My GameCube no longer works, but I've still got my original copy of VJ. I'll never let it go
Love this channel!
What the heck?! I just listened to the main theme today
I "had" this game on a purple PS2 demo disc. Playing it (think saving was disabled) would wipe the memory card, if it was inserted!
I loved Viewtiful Joe. I just regret never picking up the sequel when I had the chance. Wasn’t there also another sequel for the DS? Guess I’ll stay tuned to find out.
Double Trouble on the DS
@@KaitouKaiju Thanks.

Segata Sanchiro and Kamen Rider are legendary :D
There were many innovative non-copycat games in that era. Sadly, many were trapped on the Dreamcast.
Joe-Cool ..
I always get comic zone vibes from this game
I remember playing the Demo over and over because I could not afford games lmaoo
Viewtiful Joe was my 💩💩💩 on the Gamecube!!!😁😁😁

2:48 what game is that sir?
anyone know that game?
My editor edited this, but could be Armoured Core 2. I remember that being an early PS2 release.
@@TopHatGamingManChannel oh thank you very much sir.. apreciated 🙏🏻 sorry for my bad English.. greeting from Indonesia
yes facts
I personally stopped caring about Capcom the moment Viewtiful Joe 3 didn't come out.
When exactly did that moment happen
Speaking of power rangers, please do videos on the power ranger fighting games & beat em ups
DEAD PHOENIX! DEAD PHOENIX! DEAD PHOENIX! ;)
My gf found viewtiful Joe 2 ps2 and I’m going to copy the iso to my ps3 😼
🍻
Viewing joe was amazing but couldn’t beat the final boss :(
Capcom ditched Captain Commando for this unoriginal clone of Blues the Proto-Man?!
About the only thing he had in common with protoman is being red
Maybe I just suck, but the first game was too damn hard. I’m all for hard gameplay, but this was ridiculous.
