@@clydencook6416 Mayyybeeee??? It's touch and go with them sometimes. To be fair, they had some strong content the last few years, that's for sure (mhw, dmc5, mm11, etc.) But my comment is actually a jingle from a Zero Punctuation video, where Yahtzee talked about this very same debacle.

I played Gregory Horror Show back in the day with my brother. Had a blast, it's a great intro into survival horror for kids.

The cancellation of all their MegaMan games, the fact that they released 4 consecutive Street Fighter related games in one year which damn near oversaturated the fighting game market, lying about the capabilities of Street Fighter X Tekken on the PS3 and 360 as well as not properly marketing the game what so ever, The locked DLC, the fiasco with Resident Evil 6, closing down their Vancouver branch and of course... MvCI

Viewtiful Joe is epic. I bought it back then, and loved it. I wish they made more games like that.
I remember when capcom went all gamecube crazy. I remember thinking there is no way these games stay GameCube exclusive most of there fans are on PS2
Gregory Horror Show is an underrated gem, holds up well today, graphics are stylised and timeless, and the gameplay is original and fun
I just remember how I had to get a GameCube when I heard all the future Resident Evils were coming for it. I was kinda bummed when Capcom backpedalled and released RE4 on PS2 afterwards (as I had PS2 already) but REmake and Zero were still Nintendo exclusives until the remastered versions that got released few years ago. And overall I really loved that purple box, so no hard feelings.
Yeah, I specifically bought the GameCube for those 3 Resident Evil games and Viewtiful Joe and have no regrets.
@@Jose-se9pu yeah true. I always think of GC when I think of RE4. It's the definite version for me even if PS2 version got all that Ada extras.
@@TraumaCenter13 I also got Killer7 along with those titles. Definitely no regrets. I have tons of fond memories of that machine and I still think GC controller is among the best there is.

Man, killer 7 was awesome. A game never made me feel like how that game made me feel.
I wish PN03 would just get a re-release on steam or something, I actually liked that game. It was a very specifically niche game, but if you got into it, it was pretty fun.
Breath of Fire music... oh man, that series would be a good Wha Happun or Flophouse issue maybe. It's so sad that series petered out like that from Capcpom.

@@GamingArcane breath of fire characters also appeared in the sonic and mega man worlds unite crossover comic along with street fighter, okami, viewtiful joe, golden axe, nights, and some others but aside from that yeah that was the last time breath of fire appeared in anything as far as I know

Hey, hey, I love Gregory Horror Show. The game is really hard to get a hold of nowadays (if only because of price and obscurity), but all of the episodes of the anime are here on RUclips. And there's a phone game out for it, too, and a manga.
But eh, I'm just the weirdo that likes that creepy anime bullshit, I guess.

I remember Gregory Horror Show. That game was pretty unique and really tense. The Sexy Brutale reminds me of it a lot, which is also a good game.

I played through Vanquish, mainly because it released on my birthday and thought that was neat. Was still fun.

God. Capcom has so many ip’s they do nothing with. Drives me crazy.
When I was a lil kid, I played Resident Evil on the ps1. Capcom upgraded the graphics but never changed the indestructible environments or awkward gameplay and camera angles.
While all this chaos was going on on consoles, I was just playing on the handhelds going all "Haha, program advance go boom" and "haha, goofy lawyer man yell objection!"
This was a fascinating period of gaming. I wasn’t even planning on getting a GameCube until capcom came on board with the exclusive resident evil announcements. I ended up really enjoying the system either way. What an amazing time for survival horror.
Killer7 is my favorite game ever made. Unfortunate because there hasn't been and will never be anything quite like it. I challenge someone to find something as bizarre, varied and cohesive as that game.

My longest-running dream for videogames is to make either Viewtiful Joe 3 and/or HD Collection a reality. I've been a Metroid fan for many years, but my wish for VJ3 predates even that.

I liked PNO3, I insta bought that becuase it was a rhythm action game, I always try and support innovative titles. :)

They should have never made that boring PN game and spent that money on making Dead Phoenix. Phoenix looked unique and innovative, PN looks like something you regret buying on sale.

Got to say all Gamecube "exclusives" that got ported to the PS2 looked way worse than on the gamecube. The PS2s visuals were always darker and muddier.

@@SlumpDrunko yes, but I never finished it. It has a really unique otherworldly vibe throughout, but since I'm not a huge jrpg fanatic, some of the late-game dungeons just gave me too much trouble and I never came back to finish it. But definitely a cool game

I want that Viewtiful Joe remake or remastered. That game was on point and they made a good decision bringin that on the PS2. I put some time on that game back in the day💀

I remember when Capcom announced all future Resident Evil games were GameCube exclusive. It solidified my decision to buy a GameCube no doubt. The Capcom 5 would have been a success had they not been exclusive pretty much.

I was a kid around when this was happening and was just starting to get really obsessed with video games. I would spend hours on gaming websites reading about all the new and upcoming games, I distinctly remember reading previews of Killer 7 and Viewtiful Joe. And yet despite that I have absolutely no memory of PN03.

One minor note - Dead Rising 3 never came to PS4. That image appears to be from (or used for) a petition. DR4 still did but 3 is still console exclusive to Xbox One.
I played so much P.N.03 as a kid.
I can tell you were in a big Breath of Fire 1 mood making this one.
I remember seeing RE:Remake, RE2, RE3 and then CV being released at £45 and then seeing all but RE:Remake reduced to £10 in stores and in bargain bins. RE:Remake I guess was priced ok enough but the others were barebones ports of Dreamcast versions that were actually £20 cheaper on that platform! I'm glad that Capcom have learnt their less...oh wait, those Switch ports of old Capcom games are also insanely overpriced...
Gregory's Horror Show is the only game in that lineup of 2003 to be good, an underrated game with only an few people knowing about it. I hope Matt gives it an look at it in the future.

@@MattMcMuscles That too of course, kind of forgot that it came out 2003 (for some reason had 2004 in my head). However Gregory Horror Show was pretty good as well, despite being a slow pace style of game (so much charm in one package).
