Sometimes RUclips needs something stronger than a thumbs up button and this is one of them! The scenery, the light and your enthusiasm and talent makes this, in my opinion, one of the best videos you've done. Your images were amazing!
Henry, been following you for a while, you standout from the rest. Enthusiasm…check….quality….check…artistry….check …charisma….check and check..brilliant.
Henry…top-drawer…you made this 65 YO woman cry. I don’t know what was better to witness in this video - your passion and enthusiasm, or the light you were able to catch in what must have been a magical moment in your photography history, but thank you for sharing both.
Henry, that light had you buzzing and with good reason! Gives the rest of us goosebumps just to think about how lucky you were to be in the right place at the right time. There is no substitute for actually being there and opportunising on what you find; it could just have been a normal mountain top sunset, but you got magic ethereal light. Thank you for going up there and sharing with us.
WOW! That was something else. I've been following this channel for a while now and have been carried along by and enjoyed what I have called for some time, the "signature 'HENthusiasm' " But this, this was the best. It is videos like this, that have me itching to pick up the camera and get out there and strive to get better at photography. Thanks Henry, you keep me "HENthusiastic"
I always get so much inspiration after watching your videos. Not only is the photography advice always very helpful but your enthusiasm and positivity is so contagious that it always brightens my day. Thank you for all you do. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada
These rare moments when you find yourself just overwhelmed by natural beauty are what it's really all about. It's even better when you can capture some of it with a camera.
You talk about being at the right place at the right time... WOW! Absolutely fantastic Henry. What a picture man. I want that one on my wall! great job again.
It is so great to hear the amount of feeling and emotion behind your photography. Whether my photos come out the way I want or not, the feeling is the same as you describe. The moments you have to stop driving because you need to capture it.. all of it. The days we are stuck at work missing the most amazing sunsets.. just terrible.
We get the sunsets, we get the sunrises, and the light is beyond imagination here in Texas ..... but bro, add that together with those mountains and God appears. Awesome shots, and just like you I would have been so giddy I'd likely fell off the side.
I really enjoy your enthusiasm and joy in the process, Henry, especially with light like that! I'm new to your videos, and they inspire me. I live in the great PNW of the US, surrounded by three National Parks, and lots of other great places - a wealth of photographic opportunities which you inspire me to continue to explore. Thanks!
That is one of those pure golden moments, you can go out thousands of times and never get that (voice of experience) but you just need to try and try and eventually it MIGHT pay off... and it really has for you there! cracking!
Henry, these are some of your best images! I watch your videos and then immediately want to go out and shoot (never mind it's nighttime, LOL). Here in flat Louisiana we have no crags, hills, rocks, cliffs, waterfalls or anything like that. But I've been looking for subjects...!
At 20:02 the sound of you exhaling is a whole video of your personal passion the irrepressible verity you share with all of us. I really like this! It will push my old procrastinating body up off the couch and to the computer to download your composition course. In Pacifica California the morning and evening marine layer of fog spills over the pacific crest mountains every day. 18:26 "why is there not loads of people up this mountain?" It's the same out west while I am in Minnesota. I went to see my sister in July and we never made it up to the Pacific Crests to literally stand in the midst of sunrises and sunsets. Sissi was just 69 a week ago. I'll be 70 in may. Next trip in 2025 you can bet, I will not be deterred. This video is EPIC Henry. I literally grew up as a child chasing that light in the fog. I can see clearly now. I am going back. I'll send you a picture. The loads of people are simply daunted by the task of climbing up that hill. But we, Sir, are not!
Oh my! I'm as stunned as you were by that light. Well done for being there, proves what you always say; you've got to make the effort and be there to record it. I'm very envious.
There are no words that can adequately express experiences like these. This vid is top shelf, one of the top 5 best of Henry Turner! On this Thanksgiving Day in America, I am thankful for you, your skill, your enthusiasm, and your channel, Henry. God bless!
18:24 - the perfect impression of Dougal from Father Ted.... Short, sweet and very funny. If that dosen't cause a spike in your watch time, nothing will. Awesome pictures, Henry.
19 minutes in: This. Is. Why. Ive asked myself many times "why arent people here watching this moment?" Had the same when shooting in the Blue Ridge Mts. But also glad I had it all to myself..... Awesome video Henry!!!!
Stunning images Henry! Thank you for taking us all on this amazing hike and providing useful composition advice. This was one of my favourite episodes from your videography collection. Wow! The light was spectacular and to top it off in such beautiful nature. It makes you feel so good. Why no other hikers or landscape photographers were there makes this even more special to view it through the Henry Turner lens 📷❤️🌄
Hi Henry, No wonder you were buzzing, i would have been the same. The light and conditions were incredible. Well worth the hike up the steep hill to the top. You captured some amazing image's which you must have been proud of.
Henry, I have now followed you for a while and must admit your composition, your editing and energy is just getting better and better. What a great and inspirational video (again) which also tells us lazy buggers just to get out there and find those beautiful moments that nature sometimes provides us 🙂 Absolutely stunning 🙂
Just wow Henry, absolutely wishing I'd been up there with you, stunning, stunning photographs. Thank you so much for another whirlwind thrilling video.
Hi Henry, that vlog was the best! Everything has already been said. It totally proves you should go out in any light because as this just proves, whether can change so quickly! You've got to be on the pitch to have any chance of scoring...
When you said "I don't understand why people don't want to chase this" in total bewilderment, you summed up perfectly exactly how I feel in the face of natural beauty with a camera in my hands. Every damn time. Well done, Henry.
Thanks for sharing another enthousiastic video, it shows you truely love what you're doing. It also brings back memories of climbing Blahnukur in central Iceland close to summer solstice and see sunset & sunrise within 3,5 hours, having views up to some 100km and the sky turning all colours between orange and purple in that time. My heart was pumping faster then as when I was climbing the steep slope
Another stunning video! Photographs are absolutely sensational! Everytime I watch I get excited to head out with the camera! bag packed batteries charged! I am heading out there! thank you again for your infectious enthusiasm!
Hi Henry Ive just watched Jammy Mads Peter Iverson’s Journey through the Lake District, He seems to have all the luck with the light and Weather but like you say you have to get out there, it was the other photographers with him that called him jammy for the perfect conditions on his first morning, it’s well worth a watch.
Awesome Henry, I was right there with you with your enthusiasm and delight with those incredible conditions. Well taken too. It's hard to hold your nerve and stay focused when it's firing off like that.
What a mind blowing last shot ! Absolutely mental light 🔥🔥Love you enthusiasm for your photography, make me want to get out with the camera every time 👍👏👏
Another great video Henry, that light was amazing. Loved your waterfall picture, like you said, great composition. Look forward to your next video. Sarah.
Looks like you are getting some fantastic shots ready for the 2024 calendar ! Wonderful video Henry thank you so much. Your enthusiasm is first class! & very infectious. All the very best. Graham😊
Thank you for your honesty Henry, "just get out there and make mistakes, because eventually it will click" and your passion, they are infectious! Your photos and their composition are seriously stunning!
Henry, your aproach to composition is prety well what I do. I think it came over time, to trust your eye first and seeing a compositik n to fine tune. Cheers, mate. Love your work.
Henry, I am absolutely delighted for you that you and your soul were rewarded with such exquisite light. You have a gift and you choose to share that with us with an infectious enthusiasm that is truly inspiring. Thank you - your best video to date 🌅 🎉❤
A real joy to watch! A whole set of great images, Henry, along with a detailed explanation of your thought process. From a composition point of view, the waterfall/Haystacks image was exceptional because many people would have walked past that and not seen the possibilities. The final image was a wonderful example of anticipation!
What an amazing experience that must have been. You have some OMG photos there. I got a buzz from just watching. The one at the very start of the video was my favourite though.
Wow Henry. The hike up to the top certainly paid off. That orange glow was unworldly. You must have felt surreal being up there on your own in those conditions. You captured the moment perfectly with the shot. What a pleasure to be able to see such a moment, really appreciate you sharing that moment and day out, it was a classic, not surprised you celebrated with a drink of "girder juice".
Stunning light mate worth the sweat climbing up the side of there 😂 & lovely you had the whole top to your self, but always nice to witness it with some one else.... Great video thanks for sharing high Five 👍
Sometimes RUclips needs something stronger than a thumbs up button and this is one of them! The scenery, the light and your enthusiasm and talent makes this, in my opinion, one of the best videos you've done. Your images were amazing!

Beautiful picture Henry.
John.
Gorgeous light, you can see the golden glow reflected on you. Fabulous images.
That last shot is absolutely astounding my god
Hi Henry. WOW absolutely stunningly gorgeous conditions, with equally beautiful photographs mate.🙂
Henry, these are some of your best images! I watch your videos and then immediately want to go out and shoot (never mind it's nighttime, LOL). Here in flat Louisiana we have no crags, hills, rocks, cliffs, waterfalls or anything like that. But I've been looking for subjects...!
You are the brightest light on the fells Henry.
23:23 Possibly my favourite photo of yours, to date. Absolutely majestic!

The Last photo the best photo I have seen from You So Far. Very beautiful.
Haha - when you said 'My head is gone". I often get that feeling much earlier than you did - sometimes even at the start, can't think. How funny.
Oh my! I'm as stunned as you were by that light. Well done for being there, proves what you always say; you've got to make the effort and be there to record it. I'm very envious.
Makes me think of all those times there is no one there to see it. Well done to you. Best wishes.
