Street Running Train With Rare Locomotive & 2 Mid Train DPUs, 2 Mile Long Train In The Street! CSX

- 2 Mile Long Street Running Train With Special Locomotive & 2 Mid Train Locomotives Move Everything You Can Think Of Right Down The Middle Of Main Street! This Train Passes Another Train Near Louisville And Then Another Street Runner Ties Up Rush Hour Traffic! These trains are in LaGrange, Kentucky on the CSX Short Line. The CSX Law Enforcement Commemorative Unit is the special locomotive leading this train from Cincinnati, Ohio to Louisville, Kentucky. Check out the 2 mid train DPUs doing their work about a mile behind the leading unit. This train emptied the yard son! It had everything on it including the kitchen sink. LaGrange was busy on this day. LaGrange usually gets about 8 trains every 24 hours with most of them being southbound. On this day I was only there for 4 hours and saw 4 trains with 2 of them being northbound. Usually when I spend a whole day there I am hoping to get 2 trains in the light. Another Railfan said that there were at least 5 northbound trains on this day. That is very rare since most northbound trains take a route through Indiana. I was listening to some unsubstantiated and unreliable rumours that say the increase in trains is due to the possible railroad strike that could hit on Friday at midnight. Rumor has it that the railroads are trying to move as many trains as they can before that deadline. I don't know if that is true or not but it will become fact once it is on Reddit. Lol, just kidding, don't take any of that seriously. None the less, this was an unusually busy day on this railroad. I knew the CSX train with the Law Enforcement locomotive was coming and that is why I was there.
After that train passed I was getting ready to leave when I noticed that the line side signal near the Railfan viewing platform had a green light. I waited for that train and then headed north. Shout Out to my Railfan friend from Reading, Pennsylvania ! It was nice talking to you and I hope your brother and you had a good time visiting LaGrange. I think I got both of you in the video. You sure picked a good day to visit LaGrange with all the trains.
Best frequencies are 161.370 for the trains, 161.310 for the dispatcher and 452.9375 for the end of train device or EOT. There is a defect detector just a few miles south of town and trains call out the line side signals. After the video we have Chessie, Norfie and Dupps The Duck. Thanks for all the suggestions on names for my new duck. Dupps is really cool and is in reference to the Dupps Railroad in Germantown, Ohio. I would have to look through the comments to see who came up with that one. I just hope my neighbor doesn't want his duck back. It has been here all summer and I would hate for them to have it for dinner. My neighbours raise sheep, goats, chickens and ducks for meat. The goats and sheep that you see on my farm are owned by my neighbors. I let them use a few acres of pasture. I had cows and goats but I only own a horse now. Raccoons and hawks got my chickens. I want more. Lol

Amazes me to see how many people drive in front of a moving train. People are clueless.
Love the CSX paint scheme honoring the first responders.
Thanks for watching!
I love old downtowns like that. Old buildings, like old trains, cars and airplanes have character.
Thanks for watching!
Yes, my husband and I enjoy seeing the charming towns as much as the trains. 🙂
Those were as I like to say "the good old days."
100% true!
Wow a runner right in front of you!!!!
A Beautiful downtown; it's a reflection of the town's character. Thanks for the video. Lot's of flat wheels.
Thanks for watching!
That was way cool. There is virtually no street running in the UK anymore so it is particularly fascinating to see it
Thanks for watching!
Hi Andy. Do you know of any street running here in the UK at all? I don't. I do remember as a teenager, seeing the last of the street runs in Weymouth as the passenger train ran from Weymouth station over the harbour railway, through the streets and onto the now defunct ferry terminal. Back in the 1970's there were at least two trains a day. That line was deserted for over 20 years and pulled up last year.
@@jeremypreece870 There's a short section on the Preston Docks line which is used by the bitumen trains that run down there, the odd railtour and the Ribble Steam Railway

@@shedontanks Thanks. The video is called "The only place in England where a train runs down the street" So that really must be the very last one!
Dupps was a professional wrestling team in 1990. Good name for the duck. Thanks for the show JAW Tooth
That was one crazy long train! The town’s people must be very patient! Thanks for sharing again!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome catch on that first CSX train with the Heritage unit of Spirit of the Law Enforcement locomotive #3194 and the double DPU and a nice little city and love how CSX are using the Dash-9’s again and ❤️ all of that street running action! 5 Stars +Jaw Tooth and have yourself a great & safe day today and keep the live action coming!!
I love it; to see trains traveling down the center of town; just terrific Thanks JT
Love this street runner
Thanks for watching!
I like the street runners and it's even better with a heritage unit! I like the duck. Great video!
Thanks for watching!
We sure got our money's worth on that double DPU'd train didn't we Son ! Thx ...👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thank you Jaw Tooth for the trip to LaGrange. It’s one of my favourites. Really enjoyed seeing the area from ground level as opposed to the webcam.
LaGrange is one of my favorite webcams so it was good to see it from ground level ,thanks
Wow! What a great train. Beautiful honorary power in the front to the 2 DPUs working hard on a long train. All in a gorgeous small city. Very enjoyable. Thanks so much 😊.
Thanks for watching !
Big CSX 911 Heritage unit / DPU units on the road track. Yes I call it the road track. Horn Salute for the "CSX FIRST RESPONDERS TEAM" That was so cool Loud color boxcars. Engineer he's pulling loaded order of tanks, junk cars. and empties..!!!!
Excellent quality Mr Jawtooth
Great excellent good video, mr Jaw Tooth.
A street running train is in the U.S.A. maybe normal but in Europa: that was yesterday son. The last street running train was in1968
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
That's some nice street running, and a really cool lead engine honoring law enforcement !! 👍
Can't forget the two DPU's... Woooooooo !! 👍
Awesome VID !! 👍👍
Cool place!!! Love the train in the city!!!! Cool video !!!!))))) And thanks again to the people of the United States for helping Ukraine !!!
A great location you just cant go wrong here except for the errant drivers. Im surprised nobody was by the Trackside tables for the passage of the trains which should be a highlight. First train a rare CAGY Columbus & Greenville covered.hopper the CSX hi-cube the numerous 2nd hand scrap gons and near the end possibly moving parts of a track welding crew. Note the Conrail boxcar with the strange metal covering where the door should be plus the two small containers on a flat car as well as several mow gons. They other train more sedate with a Nebkota boxcar and at the rear a Seaboard Coast Line gondola being pursued by a guy on a bicycle
Here's to the standard of street running
Wow...that 4K is SHARP, brother...thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I never saw a covered gondola before. That piques my curiosity. That tank with the open hatch is a violation. If the FRA saw that someone would be in trouble. Another fine video. 😊😊
Like the bicyclist zipping by after the 1st train
Who can watch this, Señor Jaws, without thinking about the 1973, ZZ TOP, hit song, La Grange, with the nice little shack just outside of the Texas town of the same name, ... where they have a lot of 'nice girls'? Or, thinking that in this Kentucky town, they probably have the best KFC in the whole world? I know that I can't. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México.
Buenos Dias!
The guitar riff in LA Grange is so incredibly memorable. I love that song.
@@myrealfakename6068 I know a professional guitarist. He said that learning that riff... timing more than the actual notes... really took some time to nail it.
@@sanddabz5635 ¿Que onda, Sanddab Z?
The song and this train track have nothing to do with each other. But some people like to think they do. But then it's a common practice to stick meanings to pop songs which aren't there
Once they get the locos off the street and pick up speed, it's pretty impressive to see those big cars rolling down the street at a pretty good clip. Great one. Thanks.
Upclose and personal with a slow moving manifest freight. Don't get no better than that! Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree!
Thank you for the beautiful pictures of this locomotive that I see for the first time. I have read carefully everything written on its sides. I wonder if this is not a standard fleet locomotive that has been given a special livery (temporarily?) to publicize the operations being talked about: Spirit of our Law Enforcement, Operation Gratitude First Responders Children’s Foundation, To Protect and Serve.
Another great video. Great to see a heritage locomotive too, just love the street running you have over there, all the best from me again in England, UK.
It's not a heritage locomotive. "Heritage" means it's in the colours of a predecessor railroad.
Tooth that was some Awesome Trains but I have to tell the End was the Best I need that dittle kitten Paws.. him looks like my Cat Turd,, Turd he had the Honryness in him as well when he was young.. he was 16 years old when he passed away.. A great 🐈 Cat
Hello from the UK. That was a great video, as I enjoy watching street running (something that we no longer have over here - unless any fellow Brits can correct me). I expect that you also appeared live on the Railfan Live Feed! Did you know that the steam locomotive on static display at La Grange was imported to the USA from the UK. It was preserved and ran for a while on a US tourist line, but got vandalised and stripped of its parts.
I wondered how that old British engine got there
Nice to see trains at street level in LaGrange. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Very good video my friend, I liked it, have a nice day and greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
There sure are a lot of accidents in that town, see them a lot on VR. Nice to have the street level perspective for a change. Great video!
Thank you Jawtooth for the shout-out to Reading,Pa.I live in Reading Pa and actively live where freight traffic is common.
Thanks for watching!
I watch all of your latest videos.Keep posting videos.I enjoy them all.
I wish he would come and do a video of the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern sometime!
@@87flyerfan I live near Leesport; railfans frequently show up with cameras to film at the Railroad Avenue crossing when they run pleasure excursions to Port Clinton/Jim Thorpe.
I love the street running trains. I miss seeing them go thru Erie PA. But man, I can not watch LaGrange VRF cam! 3/4 of the people there can't drive and it just erks me to watch it!!! 🤣
I think a lot of them are strangers who have no idea what to do with a train bearing down on them.
I would also love to see what you think of Berea OH! I'm sure it was a better rail fanning spot back in Conrail/NS days,( roughly 80-100 trains a day) but it's probably still one of the busiest spots east of CHI town. ( I would think 60+ trains a day still) 👍 it's the old NYC to CHI line tied in with Pittsburgh/Harrisburg line, And a route southwest towards St Louis. There's also a shortline rr. They all meet just west of Cleveland in Berea.
@@jollygreengiant7070 Busy here where I am not like it used to be though. Enola yard. Rockville bridge. Old Reading line from Reading to Harrisburg Amtrak in the city Harrisburg Rail yard. Old Reading Rail Road yard at Rutherford is a big container loading facility now. And about 50 miles to the east. Reading and Northern Run the old Reading 2102 steam locomotive.

Awsome mr jawtooth love it when you film lagrange ky. Thank you for sharing
Awesome, my friend. 😍 💕 Big like. 👍 Have a nice day. 🤗 ✨
Love street running...Cool CSX Loco too!!
Nice catch my dear.
Great video, no one does street running like you do JT! That locomotive was gorgeous, and such a neat little town. Thanks!
Street running longest train is today japanese not seen . I'm very glad . Tanks Jaw tooth very much .
This CSX 3194 Loco is so awesome. Thanks
Welcome to my neck of the woods, Jawtooth!
Greetings from Indonesia. Your video is very cool.
II have never seen a train that long, passing in the middle of the road in my country.
Street running is always a hoot.....thanks for sharing JT
Great video JT. Love those street running trains so cool and a nice town to railfan. The lead loco on that 1st train was a great catch, what a brilliant paint scheme. Our law enforcement deserves this sort of support.
We've seen your videos from there before and still love the new ones. That is a very neat place for train watching. Great one thanks.
Like the kid taking advantage of the signals still going to power through on his bicycle.
I found a live cam in my home town of Sedalia Missouri facing the Amtrak depot. Fun to watch your videos and now I can watch the trains pass through in Sedalia too. Thanks for another video!
I was here two weeks before you were! I saw the 3194 too! I can’t believe you saw the same locomotive that I saw 2 weeks after I did! I love your video!
That's cool!
@@JawTooth thank you!
Great video and keep up the good work God bless from GA
Awesome place Jawtooth! beautiful town! Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! I was just up there last month buying another old car and I got to see 2 trains come through, it's amazing how they're moving the old courthouse there!
That was awesome seeing the Cross on the DPU! Totally Cool!!
I think so too!
Dupps the Duck - man you got one of everything, very cool !
That car at 0:59 really cut that close!
Great video!
My favorite trains 🚂 street running!!! 😁
Very beautiful place! ✨
Thank you very much for this very great video! 🌟
👍Merci beaucoup ! 🙏
Cool to see the Heritage Locomotive. All N/S in my area.
Thanks for watching!
Love that video I would love to live there be sitting and drinking a coffee while a cool train goes by WOW that was awesome thank you Jaw Tooth
Love the downtown location, and big time railroading. CSXs “pride in service “ units are the best. Don’t see much street running trains, so this is pretty cool. Thanks JT.
thats a veterans unit. not a heritage unit.
@@ejdsndnj excuse me,I thought this one is in support of law enforcement.
Love the video's in Lagrange, Kentucky going through the middle of town. Thanks again for all your videos.
I counted 152 cars on that first train, nice one.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome two street running trains JT!!!
Nice catch at La Grange, I haven't been there since 2002 or 3. I been to the north end a few times near Walton fairly recent. I like fannin that line. Thanks for sharing. Ive got a few videos posted on youtube under CP-79 Productions or my name if you would like to see them. I look forward to more of your travels. Be safe.
Look how close that train is to the sidewalk. I love the street runners. Thanks for posting
If I were to visit LaGrange or any other place with street running, I'd park as far away from the tracks as possible, then I'd walk towards this street to check them out. Even when I visit Ashland, Virginia, I don't park on any streets near the tracks.
This is just like my home town Fort Collins Co. We have the street running train and the old buildings.
I got a video of one of these units while filming here in, Cordele, Georgia, on September 20th. Two weeks ago.
Thanks JT! Another interest8ng video!☺🐶
More to come!
That is one your best!👌
La grange great location can't miss with a street running train great video thanks jaw tooth for making this happen
Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Street running is awesome and even better if you have a cool unit to shoot with it!
And no horn all the way ! respect for the close residents, I gess. Nice video as usual.
Awesome locomotives and the old building too AWESOME VIDEO and the side show too and watching enjoying again and 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤ awesome JT AWESOME VIDEO JAW TOOTH
Thank you very much!
Glad you made it to my neck of the woods! Northbound out of Osborn Yard can get pretty busy on some days!
Sounds great!
Nice first train in town, especially that red caboose on four wheels pulling up the rear of the train. I noticed there were no lights or gates on that pedestrian crossing in front of the courthouse, I guess everyone there has good hearing. Thanks Jaw.
That really was a long train. Love those street running trains. IC 2 DPU’s. Love that duck shoveling corn down. Lol😄. Cool video 👍❤️
What a wonderfully patriotic little town. So nice to see as I sit here in the vast inland empire of Southern California.
Yes, it is a great little midwest town. Very patriotic for sure

And you captured that footage with expert detail. Every view I want to see, its as if you read my mind and go to that view. Nice work.

👍Fantastic video JT!👍
Loved the shout out! Downtown Reading,PA is 10 min from me ☺☺
Awesome and thanks!
Muscling in on Virtual Railfan's turf. Good work JT !
Wonderful, no horn for street running, beware of the train coming through thats as silent as the grave. 😒 still a great video youve shown us JT 👍😉 Love the law enforcement GE
First and the last for while when I caught csx 3194 was back in March 28 2022 best catch ever was serving as a third unit in the front
Hunter Harrison Specials Love LaGrange , Kentucky!!!!
4k is great super sharp and clear.
Awesome catches of the CSX trains running through the STREET RUNNING CAPITAL of Lagrange, Kentucky! I was just wondering yesterday when you might stop by there again and BAM you made it! That was definitely odd for you to see so many North bounders vs South. But as you said and other stories I've been reading about with the possible Strike as of Friday it makes sense. Anyways, thanks again JT for all you do for us railfans to get the best footage! And this of course is my favorite as I've mentioned b4. Cheers from Delmar, Delaware my friend!
I've noticed that when the bell starts to ring at the main intersection in La Grange cars routinely blow the stop signs in order to beat the gates coming down.
That was really cool ........ Ya gotta Runner Duck.
Shout out to JawTooth
Great railroad action
You got lucky that day
Your videos are Awesome
The box car with the side entrance door was cool. Kind of gave me all kinds of ideas. Conversion box car to living quarters for starters.
Loved the first locomotive as that one is now my favorite. I live in NE.part of VT and we don't see freight trains like this anymore. As much as they can tie up traffic if you're a rail fan you don't mind.
I always liked these shots
Yeah same as below so strange and cool to see street running vids as we don't really get that anymore in UK to reiterate and is why i followed the channel for all these cool street running vids, just imagine sitting at the cafe table at the start of the vid have a coffer and a bite to eat and this runs past! keep up the good work!
Dangggggg he dump the whole yard on this one lol niceeeeee catch with the FIRE POLICE AND EMS TRAIN
Good catch i caught it the first tine it came through La Grange Kentucky
❤️ LaGrange KY, GREAT Old fashioned town, with beautiful well kept buildings. Small town American PRIDE!
We agree!
This Town, has been a Fav of mine since you introduced me to it. Used to be a big Railfan, Back then I lived in Schenectady NY,also the home of ALCO, I grew up catching NYC Steam, D&H ALCO Steam end and Diesels taking over, death of NYC,D&H, Mechanicville D&H Yard, Colonie D&H Shops, all ruined by Guiliford, who bought up what was left, and ran it into the ground . I’m 74 now, don’t get around much, crippled by Arthritis, Your site is so special to me, cus I can railfan again. You are a kind and gentle guy, I am so glad we met through your site. 🙏blessings🙏 David Carry on Son!
Oh no Jaw Tooth with the railroad’s going on strike you be sitting at home too. It really looks like a good town.
Amazing!
Absolutely love those street runners!
