Yea Tim. Way to go , you look like a natural born truck driver . Good job, listen to dad and you have this down pat in no time. I think you can do anything that needs to be done on that farm. You are a very important part of day to day operations there. Keep up the good work and remember we all love you and miss you when you are not in the videos.
Well done Tim, nice driving, and it also shows how good a teacher you are Wess, keep the videos coming, I hope you have a great year on the farm with no breakdowns.
Hey Wes, just been goin' thru your videos. I seldom leave comments, but this one I had to comment. Tim great job of driving. I see people hauling campers and am amazed at how they cannot do reverse. I seen one guy hauling a 20 Ft. camper and it literally took him 6 tries to get backed into a camping spot. He eventually went around and drove forward thru his site. So, long story short, Tim, you did what people who pull campers every year can't even do. So props to you young man. Wes, keep up the good work. I agree YT has gotten too big for their britches and will surely end up being but a memory once some young computer and business wiz. decides to challenge them. NEVER too big to fail. !!!!
great job Tim !! looked like your grandfather was standing in front of his house when drove away I bet he was as proud as your DaD is seeing you learning every aspect of the Farm! Be Proud Tim great Job 👍🏻ty steve Hatfield
AWESOME Tim. My brother taught me to back up to a loading dock that was in a Boston Chinatown alleyway. No better teacher than a relative cause they'll teach you all the tricks.
Tim is doing great. You're right about his confidence. I'd rather see him cautious rather than over confident so you've got a lot to work with. Nice video.
damn Tim got some driving skills. first time and backing up that trailer better then some pro's. respect for that. got my license and it's not as easy as it seems. way to go Tim. keep on rocking
Good job driving Tim! You should thank your dad for taking time with you to help learn the ropes. So many of us never get the opportunity that you have with your dad on the farm. Enjoy the time while you can because it goes faster than you think.
WoW, Tims backing was awesome, Found backing one of the hardest things to teach new driver. Some get it right off the bat, some well......never will. Go Tim
Good Job Tim....................My Dad taught me the same way on my Grandpas Farm. It's my Birthday 55 years old. Have a good day everyone. Hope all goes good for the Pandy Family Farm this year. Good Video to watch on Birthday Morning. God i miss my Dad.
Nice job Tim. You backed that rig around better than most over the road driver the drive "professionally". I remember my first time in a semi, it was a 98 Int'l 9400 with a 60 series Detroit. I was told take it from this field to that field down the road and don't hit anything. It was ugly but we made it in one piece, slowly. I haven't driven a semi in a few years now, I'd need a few minutes to get my bearing back.
Mack R's were tough trucks that withstood many new drivers. Most logging jobs in this area still use R Models for offroad spot trucks. I always liked the twin stick 6 Speeds, low gear plus 5 reverses.
Oh Lord...a Mack 5 speed. I've had the misfortune of driving a few. Not that they're unreliable, but here in the Colorado high country you'll never get past 3rd empty. Fully loaded, pulling the passes it's one and done...And pray you don't have to stop on a steep grade...cuz its Lo-Lo the rest of the way up if you do.
Tim has a excellent teacher and I think he did a great job,, For me I learn best by just doing it ,, seems like Tim is the same way,, I learned Common Sense, and Patience from my dad,, I learned from watching my Dad, Grandpa, and great Grandpa work
Damn Tim's a really good driver! I know a few 100 truck drivers who couldn't back up that far at that speed keeping her straight as he did without screwing it a few dozen times or just plain refuse to, lol!
Tim did good, my son that just turned 18 is learning to drive the tandem truck and he just needs confidence. I want him to get his class 1 but he is nervous. So just needs more practice.
I put many miles on an old " R " model Mack when I worked for Lufkin in the pump jack oil patch. I haul 246 320 Lufkin pump jacks 200 miles that we bought from a old Phillips field in north Oklahoma .
Hell Tim you need to be a trainer for Swift. Ain't none of them drivers can back 10' without hitting something here you go 1/2 without going forward. Great job! Comming from someone who has trained and been driving trucks for almost 18 years
