  • #cjmowing Hi Everyone!! It's 2024 and we're back in full swing! On this property we searched amidst the winter season here in the USA for a lawn that was overgrown in our community. Well, we found a lawn that was in need of attention. The property by chance happened to be one that had several code violations from code enforcement.
    After speaking with several neighbors and doing some online research on the spot - We found the property belonged to a US Military man who passed away in 2017. He was married with a child and had a brother. We also found that the home was still being fined by the county code enforcement. Many of the neighbors attested that the lawn has been overgrown for quite some time and that the home also looked to be in a state near being condemned.

    As a daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother of many veterans, thank you for everything you have done here. It’s deplorable how we as a country treat our servicemen. I see it everyday in the numbers of homeless veterans…men and women who didn’t give a second thought to signing those papers and making sacrifices. You 2 are a true blessing.

      It isn't what us as the country the way the vets are treated. It is the way the GOVERNMENT treats the vets. If you sign up for the military and even if you don't go to war you are trained and ready to go if so needed. The 2 words, Homeless and Veterans should never be used together, EVER! IN THIS WHOLE WORLD THE THING THAT MAKES ME THE MADDEST AND PISSES ME OFF MORE THAN ANYTHING IS HOW THE GOVERNMENT TREATS THE PEOPLE THAT FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOMS, WHICH THE GOVERNMENT IS TAKING AWAY FROM US 1 AT A TIME. SOON WE WILL HAVE NO FREEDOMS. IT TAKES E V E R Y B O D Y TO STAND UP TO OUR CORRUPT GOVERNMENT TO CHANGE THESE THINGS.

    Contact the local veterans office and let them know. They will put out a call to all veterans in the area that are retired or on duty that want to help a fellow brother who has paid the price. Some veteran may want to buy it for themselves.
    We don't do enough. In 1969, right after I graduated I went to sign up for Vietnam War my mom got wind of it and stop me said she already had 3 sons at war and wasn't going to send me too! Not one day goes by that I don't regret it.

    • @amylathrop8329
      @amylathrop8329 8 месяцев назад +5

      It's not the yard that makes it condemnable. It's the condition of the house. If the structure is unsafe because it has not been maintained. The property is also NOT condemned. The city would have jumped on that and be fining the owner of record for that, not just for overgrown vegetation. What I find shameful, is American citizens having not a single clue how rules and laws and government works but have the gall to complain when it does what it's supposed to do.

    So thankful for this young man’s service to our country. I am the wife of a disabled vet and appreciate all our men and women who serve and have served. Two things I noticed. It looked like the front porch had a permanent ramp so I wondered if he was a disabled vet. I also believed I saw a snake in one of the eaves. Love your videos. 3:16

    Unless the property was paid off the bank or the loan company owns it. And the county and the state are not going to go after the bank or loan companys.
    Great job on the clean up and thanks for the video. Love to see messes turn into organized places.

      If that's the case then if the city can rack up enough fines they can put a lien on it so when the bank finally sells the house the city will get their money then. One way a city can get easy money. They may know the person is deceased but since the home is still in his name they can continue to do code violations on it. The bank is responsible for maintaining their secured assets. Neither really care much as they both will get money out of it in the end.

    Thank you for honoring this veteran, and being a blessing to the community. The ramp suggests he may have been injured in service. Perhaps his home is in probate.
    You are conscientious, and hard working. (Cleaning that rain gutter shows your above and beyond attitudes.) How I hope someone puts up a U.S. flag in the holder as an additional tribute to his service. ❤

    Thank you both for cleaning up the deceased veterans home, even if it's not his home anymore,
    I've been watching y'all for a while now, and finally subscribed today, y'all deserve some accolades for finding these out of control yards and cleaning them up, this property is a good example of how just a little care goes a long way, and the care y'all gave shows the love, and y'all's love to give.
    I'm a Navy vet and I appreciate anyone who helps our vets, too many vets don't get the help they need after their time in service to adapt to civilian life, many vets turn to narcotics and alcohol to cope and the same government we swore an oath to defend this country will not help, yet that same government wants to bring in millions and millions of undocumented aliens and give them free stuff including housing but to hell with the veterans,

    It’s really looking good . My understanding is a soldier going to Iran or wherever they go over there has to have a will. It also looked like this house was setup for wheelchair access, so maybe he was injured over there and then died but whatever the cause was there was no reason to have the city do that to him. Thank you both for your help ❤and compassion. That is the strangest house. It has side door again a ramp but no back door and a kind of deck? Trish those safety glasses don’t do you any good on your forehead when you’re weed whacking. 😊. It was awesome. A beautiful job. 😮😊

    This situation brought a tear to my eyes. It also made me mad that possibly its owned by the bank by now. I'm amazed at how many bank owned homes are not kept up to code; they should be called to account. The ramp on the porch may indicate that he was injured at some point and was recovering at home. I also noticed when you were working behind the house that the whole house appeared to be only one room deep?
