  • In this video I give my honest opinion of my dad’s 2023 Polaris. We know it’s been a pretty reliable machine but after spending $40,000 on it. It was a big disappointment and was not what we expected an enclosed cab sxs to be like. Thanks for watching

    I have the 2023 single bench seat. I experienced hard shifting until around the break in period changed front, rear differential fluids it runs much better. I love my Polaris it works for me. Plowing , garden work, yard work, and ice fishing fun. Not paid to say this either.My honest opinion.

    I have the 2022 North Star ultimate 1 seater I gave 32-33 for it. I’ve had zero problems with mine and it doesn’t dust you out like that. Of course I’m 60 years old and don’t like the heat or cold anymore. I love mine for feeding the animals in the winter.

    15,000 miles on my 21’ Northstar ultimate, worked almost every day of its life in temps as low as -30°. Hasn’t left me stranded yet.
    And if you’re running heat, turn the AC/Defrost switch on, not off.

    Bro I'd rather for you to honest on the product then say it's a good product. The goods and bags on the Polaris, I can tell you one in-closed side-by-side is fantastic is the Kubota RTV X1100C and it's Diesel as well. I speak highly on that side by side it's costs about the same as a brand 2023 Honda Civic. It's probably 15 thousand dollars cheaper as well but it's a solid machine. My district has it and my Department of Public Works has the RTV X1100C. I suggest checking it out! Great video like usual.

    The utility side by side market has enlarged to a point that the usefulness factor is negated by luxury. The bottom line is if you are going to buy this by a pickup no matter what is done by a manufacturer an oversized snowmobile engine and CVT is still no match for a mechanically reliable pickup.

    Current jeeps are too large and that's why side by sides are so popular. If jeep re launched the old cherokee, or if suzuki brought the jimny to North America, it would put a dent in side by side sales. Jeeps no longer fit on my local trails, it's only side by sides now unless you're sticking to the roads.

    Speaking from experience, I have had the Honda Pioneer 700 and 1000. The 3 speed in the 700 is pretty stupid. It shifts into 3rd gear around 22 mph and tops out at 45 so it's very drawn out. The cabin heat in the Pioneer 1000 will run you out of it. The 700 heat wasn't great but it was bearable. I live down South so it was a big deal to me. I was a die hard Honda guy that hated CVT but I sold my Pioneer 1000 after 5 months after not being able to stand being in the cab in 95° weather. Switched to a Ranger XP 1000 and so far so good. Hope this helps give at least some credit to the Ranger that you don't seem fond of. Honda needs to figure it out with the heat, along with their lack of storage, very very cheap plastic doors and horrible brake design.

    • @JacobOverman
      @JacobOverman  9 дней назад

      Interesting to note. Honda is a very lazy company when it comes to innovation. They won’t change much.

    • @Boozerman24
      @Boozerman24 9 дней назад

      @@JacobOvermanI agree. I couldn't be talked into anything besides a Honda to begin with but it wasn't worth having with the amount of heat. If they can ever get that remedied and use some higher quality parts I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

    Thanks for an honest review. This is why you go with a 1st gen tacoma. For $40k you could buy a low mileage 1st gen Tacoma, single cab, and build it to the moon. Like premium adjustable Fox suspension, a roll cage, supercharger, 34" tires, steel bumpers, etc. Those little Tacomas are not much bigger than this SXS, so they will basically fit anywhere that Polaris will. Except with the Tacoma you would have an actual vehicle you can drive down the highway at 80mph and use in the city, open the windows without dust flooding in as mentioned in this video, have a bed 3x bigger, a far better hvac system, far more comfort, less wind and road noise, an engine that doesnt produce 100 decibls in the cab, and on and on. Plus, working cup holders! And a mildly built Tacoma would literally have MORE off road capability than this Polaris.

  • @newpylong

    It's not yer machine, IDC what you say after that. Yer battery is too low to fire the engine, look at the volts at bottom of the gauge. Drive it once in a while. if you don't charge the damn battery!
    Needs to read at least 12.5 volts with key on. If not, it won't fire. So simple a child could do it.
