This is the best overview of the Ranger that I have seen - and I'm only halfway through. Will have to watch your explanation of the touch screen again to grasp all you are telling me. Enjoyed a couple of your other videos also, so I'm subscribing now. Looking forward to more.
What a machine, it has more things that most vehicles don't have. Great features! Good job on explaining all the great vehicle features. I can't believe how complete this vehicle is.
I purchased a 2020 XP 1000 for home use and trial riding. I quickly realized I had a "canoe" (2-3 seater). Family and friends that did not have a machine could not ride along in our "canoe". So we bought the exact same machine down to the color, a "boat" if you will, so our family and friends could enjoy a trail ride with us. Thanks for the comprehensive overview and opinions. Interior noise is something to ponder.
Ya this is our second Ranger XP Crew 1000. Wore our first one out on the property, hauling loads, snow plowing and taking the family around. This one is the Northstar edition with all the amenities, now I can plow in the winter with heat and an enclosed cab as well as for hunting. Gotta say I have used the AC this summer working and it sure is nice! Thanks for watching and please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy our content.
Thanks @QuadsnBoots. Working on getting our Polaris snow plow setup review done for this as well. Please subscribe if you enjoy our content, thanks for the encouragement.
Great review of your machine! I hope POLARIS has improved the quality , as I have had two of them, and both had mechanical issues! One of them left me stranded in the mountains!!
Well that’s unfortunate. I hate to hear that I had a Northstar ranger XP 1000 crew but not the Northstar edition before this one and it was great. It did everything I needed it to do, have had two Polaris rzr’s as well with no issues.
Beautiful, simply Beautiful. I cannot wait to get one. My kids will love it. I wont work mune like yours since i live in town but we can drive these on the street here in town so itll be real handy during the winter. Thanks for the awesome review!
Cool! Were glad you enjoyed the review! Don't think you will be sorry, its a great piece of equipment! Thanks for watching and for your comment. Please subscribe if you enjoy our content!
Guessing to take the door off is same as others just with a quick power clip like your plow angle one. Getting one of these this week and will be lauching and pulling boats with it. Dont want the front door on to do it.
Great! Loving ours, using it on a hunting trip right now and it’s working great! Pulled a moose out whole with the winch a week ago, worked like a champ! Thanks for watching and for your comment! Please subscribe if you enjoy our content we’re trying to grow our channel👍🏼

Excellent video very informative thank you! I wanted to touch base on the Ranger doors quickly. We had issues with the metal hinges bending because that factory rubber strap wasn't strong enough in the wind and the doors would flail all the way back. We put Flatlander Offroad struts/brackets on and they've been great!
Great idea and Glad it helped. I have had some issues with the front doors swinging back hard on inlines as well. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy our content.
Just order the exact one you reviewed. Almost went with the same color as yours but ended up with the desert sand instead. I had the 3 seater 2019 xp premium, want more room for the grandkids and friends. Anyways thanks for the review will have a better grip on things when it comes in this month.
Great, our machine is doing everything we want it to do. Pulled a bull moose out whole this year with the winch! Please give us a like and subscribe if you enjoy our content
I just purchased a 2024 northstar ultimate 3 seater because I wanted more maneuverability on the trails and my wife won't ride in mine so I usually just take one friend
Yeah that’s smaller size gives you a little shorter wheelbase. We like our six seater for family and grandkids, visiting etc.. Definitely happy with my purchase. This is my second one use it a ton on our property as well as snow removal. Thanks for watching our video please like and subscribe.
At 35K, that really should come stock with literally everything you have on yours! Plus, I would expect for that amount of money, the bed should be automatic from inside the cab!
Thanks so much @markthomason8396. I apologize for the late response, the seat covers are RUFFTUFF www.rufftuff.com/ Please like and subscribe if you enjoy our content as we are trying to grow our channel👍😁
So far so good I was happy to see that Polaris is putting heavier ply tires on their stock equipment now compared to years back the cheap tires they used to throw on
Great review! Polaris is so innovative with their machines! How's the heat inside the cab and is it really pretty dust free inside? Also, is the front seat adjustable?
Thanks for watching and for your question. Totally loving this machine, using it hunting right now, the heat is amazing as well as the defroster for the window, it is dust free inside and seals very well! Just pulled a moose out whole last week with the winch, no complaints this far. Please like and subscribe to help us grow our channel👍🏼
Thoughts on the CVT durability and reliability issues as you get more miles on? Friends who have had these rangers have run into a fair amount of issues beyond the belt changes. Like the Honda automatic transmission but still leaning towards this machine based on the creature comforts of the hvac and sealed cab. Thanks for the great video.
Great question. This is my second Polaris Ranger XP Crew 1000, this one is too new to know. But my last one, I worked hard hauling heavy loads of tree rounds, plowed with it and drove it hard. It never crapped out on me, when I traded it in the Polaris dealer said I needed a new belt and clutching work. But I didn't notice any problems using it. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy our content.
I can’t believe how much these have went up this is super nice but super expensive too but it’s the perfect farm type utv and it looks like it’s fully loaded too…maybe add an LED lightbar in front and one for the back so at nightime you can see everything
I’m currently hunting with it, heater is working great! Hauled a moose out whole a two weeks ago. They are spendy but so is everything anymore unfortunately. I was just thinking I need to add a light bar👍🏼. Thanks for your comment, please subscribe if you enjoy our channel as we are trying to grow.😁
No highways? I’m sure that it’s not a vehicle you’d want to take on the Highway EVER lol. Just curios what limitations come with making it street legal, do you get plates for it? I’m trying to figure out what use I could get with one, like throw it into rotation on the weekend to just cruise around town. I live in a small town in south Louisiana and that looks like fun for me and the wife. Kids are grown and gone (thankfully lol) so mows the time to play lmfao. I’m going to look at an expedition later today, I’m sure I won’t have a response by then but I’m just doing the research right now. I haven’t seen other videos quite this detailed (awesome job, got you a new subscriber!) and while I’m bugging you, how’s the ride? Again, I haven’t seen ANY videos of it on paved roads. I’m positive those tires will need upgrading for use on roadways, my 4wheelers tires all suck on pavement but we rarely are ever on those when riding, different machines obviously, but they’re horrible for paved surfaces. Do you use it much more with it being street legal? I’ve no illusion that this will replace a car by any means but having the option is another great reason when the wife asks “what did you bring home this time” lol. Thanks. Sorry for the book of questions in advance.
Yup in our state this is street legal except on interstates or highways, however the highway I live off of is a max 45 mile an hour speed limit so it is legal. All other roads are legal for this machine, as well as you can cross over highways etc.. Do it all the time. in high on a paved road it will go almost 70 MPH. This has seat belts and roll bars, a review mirror and horn as well as turn signals (These 3 are required in our state to make it street legal). Ya the stock tires are for off road, some folks here have changed out the tires for more street style. As to the ride is is great, it leans at speed on a paved road with the atv suspension of course, however you can adjust and stiffen the suspension as discussed in our video as well. Thanks for watching and for subscribing we appreciate you
For that snow plow plug I'd get another end to plug it into filled with electrode grease so it doesn't start corrosion. Polaris can probably get you just the plug end of the plow wiring
Great Idea and tip @Kevin-midmichigan! Thanks for watching! We would love for you to please like and subscribe to our channel if you enjoy our content if you havent already.
Great question, darn I guess I failed to show the undersea storage in the front and back on my video. To your question, yes there is a small storage tray and storage area under the front middle area. There is storage in multiple locations under the rear seats as well. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy our content!😁
I believe so. There’s a plug and play electrical bus bar underneath the front removable hood. I am fairly certain that’s the pulse bar. Thanks for the question and for watching. Please like and subscribe as we’re trying to build our channel. Take care.
I would say no, however with the belt drive and cvt transmission these have that are similar to a snowmobile sometimes there will be a catch or slip to engage. No problems though. Please like and subscribe to our channel if you enjoy our content.
I checked with my local dealer. He told me the 2 door has an MSRP of $35,000 - Then I went to my local Toyota dealer - he gave me an out the door price for a 4 door Tacoma TRD Off-Road for $35,000. I've already got an F-450 and a Kubota tractor with cab that has heat/ac and BT radio, a snow blower, rear blade, box blade, 72" mow deck, front end loader, grapple, and fork tines. I'm trying to understand why someone would spend $35,000 on something that seems like a joke. Any suggestions?
Not sure what good pricing for a Tacoma looks like, I prefer Polaris as its American made Toyota and Kubota are not. Don't know what dealer your talking to but that price is closer to the 4 door I have with a snow plow and frame as well as the pnuematic plow setup and a few other accessories I have. To answer your question, your Tacoma cannot go on the trails and inclines this can go on my property, as well as this gets into many tighter situations with my snow plow as I plow our driveway all winter as well as our private road. A Tacoma doesn't have a dump bed. There are many reasons this is the second one of these I have owned. A tractor cannot go on much of my wooded uneven property either unfortunately, I wanted a tractor for various uses but its not as practical for what we do and need as this machine. Thanks for the comment, take care.
Being a close cab with climate control it’s pretty much dust free inside. My old ranger didn’t have doors and you would get a lot of dust inside while driving specially, falling someone else on a dusty road. Thanks for your question please like and subscribe if you enjoy your content.
This is the second Polaris Ranger XP 1000 I have owned, wore the first one out working on our property (Hauling wood rounds & slash as well as plowing snow and pulling loads), our first one was not the loaded Northstar edition though. Long answer to your question to say absolutely would buy this first purchase again. I actually special ordered this last NOV 2022 and picked it up APR 2023. Reasons I spent the money on this machine: 1) It is the perfect vehicle for getting around our sloped wooded property in a way a truck or normal vehicl cannot. 2) Its made in America 3) It a great setup for plowing our private road and property in the winter (The Northstar is enlcosed and heated as well as having a windshield wiper) I have the hydraulic plow control that allows me to turn my blade from inside the vehicle. 4) It has a large dump bed in the back, this is awesome for loading and dumping slash and loads. 5) It will seat up to 6 people, so I use this to take my grandkids and family on rides. So for our needs it has proven to be the best utility vehicle option for all around use. Thanks for watching, please subscribe if you enjoy our content.
Honestly, can’t remember with the snow equipment and some accessories I added on. Obviously in this economy more than I wanted to pay however, it’s such a useful tool on our property. Glad to have it.
