Hi Gayle, OMG I so appreciate you featuring my humble Gayle mail and my Pocket folds. It was so fun watching you. You figured the first pocket real fast, however the second pocket you almost got it. You need to put the 2 pages together and fold both of them in half then fold corners and bottom up at last. It is a lot of folding and lots of inking! lol. The corner pocket is actually a pointy pocket that can be glued up (pointing up flushed with bottom of a page). Don't forget to fluff up all the flowers and butterflies as they tend to go flat in shipping. I also like the idea of the little ticket like shipping pieces. Those were shipping supplies that came in a box and I flattened up. I have few of them but can't find them again. I will use gesso, that was a great idea. Thank you again my friend and all your loyal viewers for your support , sending my blessings to you all! xxooxx.
Thank you, Claudia, for such an inspirational happy mail! So much fun! If I remember right tomorrow’s video I play some more! Thanks again, my friend! ❤️
You are so welcome! Thank you Gayle, I am so grateful to you and to all your viewers who bought from me and supported me. So appreciative!!! I ran out of all supplies in the first hour, lol. I will be making much more and list them in the next few days and over the weekend. I can't wait for the second video tomorrow! hugs.
@@carolhensen5181 thank you Carol, you are so sweat. I actually made that one especially for Gayle. I thought she can use all the stamped fabric in her clusters!
I love the stamped snippets and would definitely buy some! The Gail Mail items were all beautiful. I love watching your videos and you have inspired me so much. I am getting ready to venture into my own shop with ephemera and journals and your videos are always great to watch for how to's and inspiration. I also love the statement "unencumbered by perfection". I think we can all use a little bit more of that and just enjoy what we do.
The cardboard hole pieces would make a great place to hang some side page dangles or a place to dangle ribbons in varied lenghts. They have our minds thinking up ideas. Wow, Lori G sure made a lot of fantastic journals. That was so sweet of her. Love all the pocket folds too. So many ideas and so much inspiration.
Always fun to see what you do with the goodies people send. It's mandatory in Toronto (Canada) to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces. Although my health isn't compromised, I am so thankful that we are all safer because of this bylaw. Yes, everyone has their opinion -- just wish they would base it on science and fact. Okay, craft on.
I would be tickled to death if Mr. A would use one of my journals. I am glad the grandkids and Addie will like the journals. I met you about a month before Addie made her kit. Thank you so much for mentioning and linking everyone I used for the journals. You are so kind and have a big heart my friend!! Thank you for all you do!! You have the best subbies ever!! I am so very grateful for everyone that visited my shop and I am at loss for words!! I didn't know Susan or Claudia and payday needs to hurry up. I need to shop!! :) Good for you to cancel your hair appointment. I wouldn't feel comfortable either. There are not enough people wearing masks in my area. Thank you again my friend!! Hugs!!
Thank you so much, my friend!! I can’t wait to surprise all the grandkids! I’ll let you know the reactions. I’ll message you on your Etsy! Thank you for all the work and especially for thinking of my most precious people! 😘❤️
Good for you Gayle for standing up for yourself at the salon. As everyone knows Louisiana opened up to phase two and opened up entertainment areas and Boom up the numbers went up. Those numbers are people! Now masks are mandatory outside the home. That is one reason my Etsy store is on hold. I can’t in good faith mail items in fear of spreading the virus. But I’m working on digital items. Stand your ground and stay healthy. Love but no hugs because we are social distancing from Louisiana.
The journal for Addie is beautiful so are the 12. The kit from Rachel is super. Everything was so nice. Enjoy making the book page pockets. Have a blessed day.
Glad you stated your concerns with your hair dresser. Cases are up here in AZ too so I stay home. Been home since mid March. With my spinal cord injury, asthma and weak lungs we've been careful going anywhere. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to understand it's more for everyone else.
I always love that you are up for a challenge, and you take us along for the ride! 😉 So fun! And those journals Lori made are fabulous!💕 I also need to get ahold of that gorgeous Italian paper❣️
Hi Gayle!! You always get such awesome and wonderful Gayle mail!! Beautiful journals...love the one for Addie!! The bookpage pockets are pretty cool and you did great trying to figure the folds!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
That package from Rachel 👍🏻 I’m green with envy! Everything is really lovely. Thanks for sharing. My day is always grateful when I get to watch my friend be happy and creative.
Such a challenge but you did a great job. The journals for the grandkids are awesome. I really love he special one for Addy with the ladybugs. So very cute. Thank you for sharing 🤗
So fun to be back on internet. Have had problems with it the last 1,5 month. Good and bad.... summer here in Sweden and kids are home so we have done things at home that we wouldn’t have done with internet going. Great to have so many videos to look at. Have a great weekend! 🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸
Such fabulous goodies! Lori G. Is the sweetest person I’ve ever had the privilege to know 😊 Thank you so much for linking to my shop. That was so kid of you ❤️❤️ Hugs! Emily
Way to go with the salon, Gayle! No one should expect you to go into a place if you don't feel comfortable doing so. Really liked these pockets inspired by Claudia. I will need to go make a few fir a few journals I am making. God Bless. Sue
Yes, I agree Gayle....we who wear the masks & many of us have health issues....we do need to speak up. I do not understand what some people are thinking...I guess they think the virus won't touch them or their loved ones. PLEASE PEOPLE LET'S ALL FOLLOW THE HEALTH GUIDELINES SO WE CAN GET RID OF THIS EPIDEMIC! May you all stay healthy !
The doodads would also work as the top of a fabric flip or as a dangle on a tag. If you fold it over, it could be a topper on a tag. It would also be fun to weave ribbon or paper through some of the holes. I so enjoy it when someone sends you a challenge like this; it gets my creative juices flowing. 🤩
How darling is that ladybug journal!! She will love it for sure. How nice that she thought of your grandchildren in such a sweet way. WOW, 12 journals plus the ladybug.
Loved this video! The book page pockets are amazing! So proud of myself… got them right on the first try… that never happens… lol! Just two sheets of paper on each one, so cleaver Claudia! Thanks for sharing this with us Gayle! I am hoping you will do the rest on video too! 💖🤗💖
Some pockets I used only one page. I shipped all my orders this afternoon. Thank you for your purchase and support. Did you use another name in the order?
What a lucky lady you are Gayle! You have such a lovely personality and give so much. Thank you for all you do!!! 🥰 Claudia please put the snippet rolls in your Etsy shop! I can make them but it’s just fun to get some from other people who have different fabrics and things!
Good morning big sister! I am having a late morning, I got up and went straight into my studio to play instead of watching videos… lol! I hope you have a beautiful day filled with lots of fun crafting! Big hugs! Love you! 🤗💖🤗
Lovely Gayle Mail! And I had so much fun trying to fold the bookpages like Caudia's along with you. Mine don't look much like Claudia's yet, but I'll keep trying because the are really cute! 💕
Your happy mail is so wonderful Gayle! Thank you so much for listing my shop for the Ladybug Kit! I appreciate it so much! I have been packing as we purchased a house but hurt my back. I am in the process of finding out if I fractured something. I am trying to catch up on your videos, not commenting but watching them all! Love you, my friend! xo Deb
Hi Gayle, I watch your videos daily but I'm not much for posting comments mostly because I watch your videos while I'm working. Thanks so much for all your wonderful videos and for your consistent dedication to the junk journal world. Your videos have taught me so many things. I love, love, love them. :) Also, I still love the journal I purchased from your Etsy shop! It is so beautiful.
BRAVA, GAYLE, for canceling your hair appointment! For all the reasons you mentioned not the least of which is the number of cases on the rise (here in Oregon, too), we still need to be vigilant. Even tho' I am compromised, I wear a mask and keep my distance when I need to go out for essential items (got four Rxs just today) to keep THEM SAFE, whether they deserve it or not.
Oh wow! I had no idea Lori would use the ladybug embroidery for Addie. She is such a sweet support in this community, always encouraging her fellow Etsy shop owners 💕. Thank you Gayle for linking everyone in the description. I watch you all the time and you have been a huge inspiration to me in my fledgling journal making endeavors. God bless you and yours 💗
So funny, I get those ticket things in my tea that I order online (Republic of Tea). I just made a tag using them. I used gesso and then used mod podge to adhere them. I used some cut outs of disney evil queens on top. Love how it turned out. They also sometimes use sheets of uncut tea bags for packing!
Oh WOW! Lori did an amazing job with all of the journals she made. She sent me a few pictures but wanted the butterfly journal to be a surprise for me as well as you and Addie! It's absolutely stunning 😍 She printed Addie's kit over the top of my background kits and they all look amazing, they work so well together 😊 THANK YOU so much for showing them all off Gayle, and for sharing the link to my Etsy shop too 😘 xx My brain hurts from watching you trying to figure out that last pocket but yours turned out great as well 😊 Good on you for persevering with it, I would have given up 😂 xoxo
Good morning! So clever of you to figure out the book page folding by Claudia. Will be trying that myself. I too am amazed at why people don’t want to continue with safety precautions during this crisis. Such a little thing to do to protect yourself and others....sigh.
I am very behind on your videos! I lost my husband on July 16th and grief is tormenting me. But I am going to step into my wonderful world of junk journaling and try to find my mojo. I love happy mail days! Those pockets are awesome! Hugs my friend!
Aw, Kath, I’m so sorry for your loss! I agree that creativity can be a comfort! Be kind to yourself, my friend, it’s not been very long for you to grieve and adjust. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers. 🙏❤️
I had to ask my hairdresser to wear a mask. Even though everyone is now (Michigan) supposed to wear one in any indoor space she works out of her house and leaves it up to her client. Most people don't have her bother with it. She is a nice lady and had no problem wearing one for me. I have been so careful up until now and didn't want to catch the virus just for a haircut. I needed one desperately, but could have waited. To me, it's just common sense that they must help a little. The best thing is still social distancing and washing hands. When I took my husband to his doctors appointment it was required. They must know something.
I don’t know if it’s right but I got two pages fold them in half going upward did the folds on the top and I just brought the bottom part going up for the tuck
Lori B, what amazing gifts for Gayle's granddaughter Addie and all her other sweet grandchildren. The Lady Bug journal was spectacular. Gayle, those little swiss cheese holey cardboard ticket thingy's could be used as a small stencil too. Hmmm, I found it odd your beauty shop did not take more precautions. I absolutely would NOT be in a salon filled with people not wearing masks and all those hair dryers blowing air bound particles around. You truly do have remarkable, giving subbies Gayle. Such fun.
Oh those holey thingies are fun, never seen anything like that. And I like all the different foldy pockets too. Yes Gayle, even yours 😉 Thank you for another fun filled and spine tingling (as Clint would say) hour where you kept me company while I gesso’d my yet to be dyed pages in random spots. Curious what it does when I coffee dye them. Ever done that?
Claudia I love that snippet roll and the other little things you've made i'd love to buy them ! ;) i love Ephemra that i can order ink on my printer doesnt last very long -=)
Good haul. Great try at making those pockets. They look hard. Texas is horrible. I want to crawl in hole & pull it in after me. I don't know why ppl won't do what they know will save lives. You be safe!!
You are right to be very careful to go out to the hairdressers or somewere else. People are not serieus anymore. They think Covid19 is over or they think they won't get it. We are careful too my husband and I, we are 63 and 66, so not so very young.😂😂. But lots of people don't matter. And after the hollidays we'll see if it gets more infected people. Love your videos'.
Love the book page pockets. We can always use new ways to make pockets.
Wow! Wonderful packets and pockets! So smart!

Hi Gayle - follow the book page writing. Looks like she made the first pocket, turned it on it's side, and then did the cuff pocket thing... maybe?
Cracking up about the bad word in the glue book!

I hope to do some tomorrow, weather pending, and I’ll let you know 👍🏽

It looks like Claudia cut the pages in half when making the ephemera with the flower on it. I tried it and the size was great.
Goodmorning darlin! Big ol hugz sent ur way.....😉😘
Good morning and hugs back, Stephanie! ❤️
