Thanks for this wonderful video. Love the colors. ADVICE; we've had an indoor dog for 15 years and we've stepped over the baby gate all this time. Then I saw the baby gate that opens, at walmart, and every time I walk thru it, I say, why didn't I think of this 15 years ago. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!

It was very lucky (for us) that you had videoed ahead- but you know, if for some reason you are unable to post a video, you should never feel pressured or like you are letting anyone down. Oh no, Gayle....those baby gates can be dangerous! We have two up full time, but we found gates with doors you can open and step through, no more stepping over them! A bit more expensive, but well worth it. I’m glad you are healing and able to craft again....thank you for this series...loving it! Speedy recovery to both you and sweet Jimmy Joe!

Hi Gayle, I’m a woman who watches a ton of craft videos, I’m 79 in a senior center with limited space and supplies. This series is so 👌 start to finish. Gives me the incentive to finish one project. I Slid out of my wheelchair and ended up with a huge black eye. I told people.....u should see the other guy.....lol u chatter is very relaxing. 🥰

So sorry to hear you took a tumble!! I learned back in 2015 not to go down the stairs with my arms full!! Slipped on the stairs and shattered my heel, broke my ankle and split my leg bone in half... I did cry LOL. I learned to slow down after 6 months of recovery!! Sending you healing vibes for a speedy recovery...💜

Yup. That was me. My carts saved me! When I worked in my basement, everything was so spread out but it became annoying to not have my everyday stuff close by. I have 5 carts! I love to use one or two for project carts too. I have one I use for slow stitching for when I’m watching tv at night. Great for organizing. Thank you for calling me your friend. That means a lot to me. 🤗 P.s. I rolled over in bed last night and messed up my shoulder. So there ya go. Not as bad as what you did, but sure doesn’t take much now a days!

Hope you recover from your fall quickly. When I fell on concrete a year ago, it took seven stitches above my eye, and took few weeks to heal, so I understand What you’re going thru. I love that the pretty paper additions are not just for us who watch but the crafters also. I do believe I have bought your digital prints more than once also. Ha ha. I love all you do. Amazing. Oh no Gayle! I hope by now you're feeling better! And I hope Jimmy Joe is feeling better each day. We just had Brady & Stella fixed, our 7 month old Weiner pups - so that was interesting to say the least. But they did awesome & never really needed their cones. They never messed with their stitches while healing so we felt like they didn't need to be tortured with that device. :-) We did put the cones on them when they started rough housing each other. Littermates are cray-cray, no matter the size. Love your instructions on altered books. Hugs from Colorado!

This pandemic is really messing up our lives and I’m sorry you won’t get to spent time with the grands, we’ve been missing ours also. I am loving how the journal is turning out and keep thinking next time I’m near the dollar store that I will have to get a book, rewatch this series from the first, and make my own. Oh my goodness, those baby gates are dangerous! I did the same thing when I had them up for my littles. I was actually holding my one-year-old son when I stepped over, misjudged how high I had to lift my other leg, and both of us went down! Somehow I got all the bruises but he was totally unscathed, thank goodness! I’m glad you’re on the mend.

Oh my gosh, Gayle! I'm glad you're okay! Us old people have to be careful. I never was very graceful, and I have fallen twice in the past few years. Thank goodness I only suffered minor injuries. I had a lovely black eye for Thanksgiving the one time. Be safe.
Gayle, glad you are okay. What a terrible fall! On another note, my German Shepherd can't wear a cone, even the soft ones, because he goes crazy, gets upset, tries to get it off by going into walls and fences. But he didn't really need it. He seemed to understand my command not to lick the stitches. Hope you have a great day. This altered book is so nice.
Oh Gayle, I feel your pain. I lurched forward on my pilates and landed on the posts, plunging them into my tummy and ribs. My arm hit the rail and the wall and it's been two weeks since it happened. Ouchies are not so much fun. Had a doctor's appointment a week after it happened and she felt I didn't need x-rays unless I don't continue healing. I'm sorry for your spill and hope you're doing better. The gate sounds like a good idea. I hear you on slowing down, probably won't happen here either. LOL Glad Jimmy Joe is doing well. Stay safe.
Those gates can be very dangerous. I was stepping over one when my granddaughter was little that kept her from going down the hall and I caught my foot. As you, I fell face first with her standing there looking at me. Black eye and bruises everywhere. I'm just glad I didn't have the baby in my arms. Stay safe and slow down Gayle. :)
Sorry about your fall, glad nothing is broken. I took a tumble myself last week. My shoe got caught on the leg of a padded stool that I have in front of where I sit on the sofa and that I step around a THOUSAND times a day and over I went! No bleeding, just bruises. Also got the “are you ok?” from hubby as I'm lying face down on the floor groaning with one leg still caught on the stool (also didn't cry) to which I replied “do I look like I'm ok?” He was probably trying hard not to laugh - can't say I blame him, I'm sure it was quite a sight! The things we get ourselves into!
Loving this book, so sorry about your fall, I did the same thing years ago and broke my shoulder and had to go to the ER , had a gate up cause we had a puppy. I need surgery on my shoulder now, there is a tear in the rotor cuff, putting it off till our pandemic is over. Feel better soon! 🌸🌸🌸

I love your channel. I havent altered a book yet. I'm happily finishing journals for the craft fair in Dec. Tonight I made two writing boards using my tiny strips. I did them on the diagnol. They are pretty. I have 2 journals that they coordinate with. I'll have to post them on my FB later today. I took a fall last summer coming into my granddaug back door. I just didnt get my whole foot through the doorway. I fell flat on by face. I didn't bite clear through, but I hit it hard to bruise. Each bruise was just the size of each upper tooth. Of course all three of her dogs were all over me. My son said that it looked like someone had popped me in the face and the mouth It takes the same amount of time for an incision to heal in an animal as it takes people. Flesh is flesh

I’ve never made a book journal of any kind before so this is a real treat! My husband passes by my craft room frequently and asks if I’m having fun. When I ask why he asks that he says because I have the biggest smile on my face! Not a lot to smile about lately so I’m just so pleased to be doing something fun and constructive! Thank you for your great instructions! I look forward to the remaining videos and stories!
Oh Gayle, please be careful. As one who also takes blood thinners, I always have this fear of falling and hurting myself. Glad you are on the mend. One thing though, please check with your Dr if you should be taking any ibuprofen or aleve while on blood thinners. Mine said no NSAIDs as they also thin the blood. Stay safe and on your feet my friend.

So sorry about your fall but happy you didnt have to go to the ER. I have a big dog who needs the cone of shame several times a year. (Check with your vet first but) I take his cone off for him at meal times. That way he can eat, drink, stretch but I watch him to make sure he doesn’t go for the injury area.

Yup. That was me. My carts saved me! When I worked in my basement, everything was so spread out but it became annoying to not have my everyday stuff close by. I have 5 carts! I love to use one or two for project carts too. I have one I use for slow stitching for when I’m watching tv at night. Great for organizing.

I know this is old, but your story about falling over the gate, mirrors my life!! And, my Mom always tells me the same thing, slow down, watch what you're doing, and pick up your feet. Doesn't help me, tho lol

Oh no Gayle! I hope by now you're feeling better! And I hope Jimmy Joe is feeling better each day. We just had Brady & Stella fixed, our 7 month old Weiner pups - so that was interesting to say the least. But they did awesome & never really needed their cones. They never messed with their stitches while healing so we felt like they didn't need to be tortured with that device. :-) We did put the cones on them when they started rough housing each other. Littermates are cray-cray, no matter the size. Love your instructions on altered books. Hugs from Colorado!

This pandemic is really messing up our lives and I’m sorry you won’t get to spent time with the grands, we’ve been missing ours also. I am loving how the journal is turning out and keep thinking next time I’m near the dollar store that I will have to get a book, rewatch this series from the first, and make my own. Oh my goodness, those baby gates are dangerous! I did the same thing when I had them up for my littles. I was actually holding my one-year-old son when I stepped over, misjudged how high I had to lift my other leg, and both of us went down! Somehow I got all the bruises but he was totally unscathed, thank goodness! I’m glad you’re on the mend.
Oh dear!...Im sorry to hear of your fall and getting so banged up 😩. Glad you didn’t break anything...it is amazing how hard we hit when we take a tumble. The book is really quite lovely and the diversity of pages look great together. When I can get to a thrift store I’m going to look for an appropriate book to give this process a try.🥰. Oh my gosh, Gayle! I'm glad you're okay! Us old people have to be careful. I never was very graceful, and I have fallen twice in the past few years. Thank goodness I only suffered minor injuries. I had a lovely black eye for Thanksgiving the one time. Be safe.

Gayle, glad you are okay. What a terrible fall! On another note, my German Shepherd can't wear a cone, even the soft ones, because he goes crazy, gets upset, tries to get it off by going into walls and fences. But he didn't really need it. He seemed to understand my command not to lick the stitches. Hope you have a great day. This altered book is so nice.
Oh Gayle, I feel your pain. I lurched forward on my pilates and landed on the posts, plunging them into my tummy and ribs. My arm hit the rail and the wall and it's been two weeks since it happened. Ouchies are not so much fun. Had a doctor's appointment a week after it happened and she felt I didn't need x-rays unless I don't continue healing. I'm sorry for your spill and hope you're doing better. The gate sounds like a good idea. I hear you on slowing down, probably won't happen here either. LOL Glad Jimmy Joe is doing well. Stay safe.
Those gates can be very dangerous. I was stepping over one when my granddaughter was little that kept her from going down the hall and I caught my foot. As you, I fell face first with her standing there looking at me. Black eye and bruises everywhere. I'm just glad I didn't have the baby in my arms. Stay safe and slow down Gayle. :)
Sorry about your fall, glad nothing is broken. I took a tumble myself last week. My shoe got caught on the leg of a padded stool that I have in front of where I sit on the sofa and that I step around a THOUSAND times a day and over I went! No bleeding, just bruises. Also got the “are you ok?” from hubby as I'm lying face down on the floor groaning with one leg still caught on the stool (also didn't cry) to which I replied “do I look like I'm ok?” He was probably trying hard not to laugh - can't say I blame him, I'm sure it was quite a sight! The things we get ourselves into!
Loving this book, so sorry about your fall, I did the same thing years ago and broke my shoulder and had to go to the ER , had a gate up cause we had a puppy. I need surgery on my shoulder now, there is a tear in the rotor cuff, putting it off till our pandemic is over. Feel better soon! 🌸🌸🌸

I love your channel. I havent altered a book yet. I'm happily finishing journals for the craft fair in Dec.
Tonight I made two writing boards using my tiny strips. I did them on the diagnol. They are pretty. I have 2 journals that they coordinate with. I'll have to post them on my FB later today.
I took a fall last summer coming into my granddaug back door. I just didnt get my whole foot through the doorway. I fell flat on by face. I didn't bite clear through, but I hit it hard to bruise. Each bruise was just the size of each upper tooth.
Of course all three of her dogs were all over me.
My son said that it looked like someone had popped me in the face and the mouth
It takes the same amount of time for an incision to heal in an animal as it takes people. Flesh is flesh

I’ve never made a book journal of any kind before so this is a real treat! My husband passes by my craft room frequently and asks if I’m having fun. When I ask why he asks that he says because I have the biggest smile on my face! Not a lot to smile about lately so I’m just so pleased to be doing something fun and constructive! Thank you for your great instructions! I look forward to the remaining videos and stories!
My hubby does the same. Time just flies by. I think he needs to get a hobby too 😀

Oh Gayle, please be careful. As one who also takes blood thinners, I always have this fear of falling and hurting myself. Glad you are on the mend. One thing though, please check with your Dr if you should be taking any ibuprofen or aleve while on blood thinners. Mine said no NSAIDs as they also thin the blood. Stay safe and on your feet my friend.

So sorry about your fall but happy you didnt have to go to the ER. I have a big dog who needs the cone of shame several times a year. (Check with your vet first but) I take his cone off for him at meal times. That way he can eat, drink, stretch but I watch him to make sure he doesn’t go for the injury area.
