I love how Jake looks like a totally different person, and I don't mean the clothes. His facial expressions are totally different, way more than between Mark and Steven. Oscar Isac is a trully great actor. I can't imagine anyone else playing those roles better.
Really hits home the difference between him and Marc. Marc thinks he's a killer, but we've never seen him with the type of glee that Jake displays when shooting Harrow.
My favorite instance of it is still when Marc gives control to Steven for discyphering the star map. There's so many subtle changes when Oscar switches from one to the other, and it's all done in one shot and not cut together scenes. My second favorite is when they see the blood coming from Doctor Harrow's shoes. Again, a very subtle but still very clear switch in their facial expressions to make it clear who is in control.
To me, this series was the most consistent of all of the Marvel series to date. Every episode didn't feel like filler and even the exposition mostly had narrative purpose.
I like the deal Khonsu made with Marc and Steven was that he would release the TWO of them after all of this is done, and you could almost see Khonshu proud of this deal because he knows he’s deceiving them because he’ll still remain with Jake. He never cared about Marc or Steven, he just saw them like parasites that leeched off Jake which is why he always called them different types of pests.
My favourite bit of the post-credits scene is that Jake doesn’t blink when he fires the gun. That’s amazingly hard to do & it makes him look truly badass.
I know it was probably for real world reasons, like not pulling an Alec Baldwin, but it did make it more impactful that he doesn't feel any recoil or anything.

I agree totally. I posited after seeing the "Birth of MK" in Ep 5 that Khonshu was drawn to Marc b/c he sensed Jake in there. If Steven is a Safe Haven for Marc, Jake represents Vengeance (he reminds me in a way of The Punisher). Khonshu wants vengeance so Jake is the one he would use and Jake would be more susceptible to Khonshu's manipulation. And Khonshu, that devious mofo, tricked Marc and Steven into thinking they are free of him. THERE HAS TO BE A SEASON 2!
Unlike Loki and Wandvision, moonknight started from scratch essentially (i.e. no prior character development) think it was a really great intro to the character, Oscar Isaac and May were stand outs.
As are some if not a lot of people, they aren't liked or at least overlooked, until the make a " scene", even the opposite of some.. like the Avengers...were they were hunted or told to " stand down"
If you go back through the episodes, you never actually see Marc kill anyone, he feels too guilty about death, so he would only do it if Khonshu tells him they are murderers or pedophiles. So that would mean that in the first episode when Steven wakes up in the Alps Marc is completely unconscious and Jake is the one popping in to kill everyone.
A very interesting detail is that now Marc and Steven no longer have that transition effect when they pass their bodies between them, as a sign that they are now in sync.
Yeah its cool just not so accurate to DID, at least to my knowledge, the shift between personalities is always kind of uncomfortable and hard to do on purpose

jake lockley’s limo got dark red upholstery in the backseats, meaning he got it specifically to shoot harrow and whoever else they want in there and it’d be easier to clean up
I just love that Steven, after the end of the last episode being more confident in his fighting abilities and so is basically an opposite of when he started with the Mr. Knight Costume, and we see him absolute kick ass with some swagger.
I think the reason why we didn't see Konshu in his fancy suit until now, from a narrative perspective, was because of his encounter with the other gods in the pyramid of Giza. It shows a form of character development for Konshu where he is evolving into a force that now relies more on discretion to get what he wants done rather than overt actions. Since the other gods act in that discreet manner and they all wear fancy modern clothes Konshu started dressing like that to imitate them.
The reason jake lockley was created was to “take the beatings” this is why jake comes out at the worst times . When konshu says he will release Marc and Steven he knew about jake so he still had control because they agreed to “ free them both” he freed Marc and Steven.
The fact that Oscar Isaac was able to keep the different accents, and use them moments apart is amazing! Also, the facial expressions make it so easy to differentiate between the characters. The wrinkly grim fact of Jake, the plain serious face of Marc, and the raised eyebrow casual face of Steven! Oscar should recieve an Oscar!!!!
Oscar Isaac is such an amazing actor. It's almost scary how he is about to switch from Mark to Steven and then Jake. Having different facial features and different accents, truly shows how talented he is.

hands down the best series Marvel ever released yet. story, characters, image, everything was perfect. i really love Oscar as the moon knight, his act was top-notch here. the only bad thing is it’s so short, i hope Marvel release season 2 ASAP
One fin fish was Steven representing "something missing", him being alone in the world. The two fin fish was Steven starting to find out about Marc, his "missing piece" back (but obviously he's confused as to what happened). The finale double fish represent Steven and Marc as two individual personalities now working together, neither "alone" anymore. At least that's how I saw it.
You could interpret that Harrow shot enough bullets for the personalities he was aware of one for Steven one for Mark but forgetting Jake and that is who shoots back
Actually if you listen closely when Steven was first negotiating for their release Konshu manipulates them by using his words carefully he said he will release them BOTH...they had no idea they were three in one person so technically Konshu still has a right to hold on to them because of the third identity who's Jake
The last scene actually shows that it was Jake who was in control in the very first episode and Not Marc. Because he would’ve known about the restraint but he doesn’t. So that implies it’s been Jake from the beginning
It was probably Marc at the beginning because it was more a killer alien than a human. Marc shows restraints when fighting humans and less when fighting animals.
When Taweret said in episode 5 "It's been a minute since a soul past through here" it seemed to imply it had been thousands of years, since the people who worshiped the gods died out, but apparently it had only been at most a few years, since Layla's father specifically met Taweret.

I think I enjoyed it more than Wanda/Vision. The Marc/Steven bromance is so good. Layla is fantastic. Taweret is just my favorite. I honestly just want to watch the shenanigans of the four of them interacting on adventures.
There was a scene in the second episode when Steven is running from Khonshu in the storage place, and I may be reading into it too much but I’ve been thinking it may also hint to Jake. It just shows a lock rattling on one of the containers, but when I rewatched that scene it just struck me as a similar look to when we saw the extra sarcophagus. Something about the way the shot lingered on it. Also… “Lock”ley
Everyone seems to really gloss over the several dead, innocent orderlies can be seen in the background when Jake takes Harrow away at the end. Just a touch to indicate how much more brutal he is compared to even Marc
Possibly my favorite “easter egg” is actually the name Spector. Especially as the white Limo and plate name being correlated with Jake. “A visible incorporeal spirit, especially one of a terrifying nature; ghost; phantom; apparition”
The only issue I had was that, when Jake took over during the fight with Harrow, we still didn't get to see it. I get the feeling that they could have done that and showed some serious brutality while hinting that it's Jake without telling us. That way it preserves the surprise at the end but we get to see him do some work.

I think this is the best finale of the Disney+ shows so far. I really hope we get a Season 2, especially since marvel has kept referring to this episode as the "season finale" and not the "series finale" also that QR code comic link definitely makes me want to see Moom Knight fight Kang in the mcu.

The transitions after jack lockley's massacres' give me goosebumps, first thing you see on screen is steven/marc having a hard time until they get a seizure and next thing you know, everyone is dead steven/marc is splattered with blood and bodies everywhere.
Konshu did say “I’ll will release you both”. The besttt Marvel series ever! When the super hero is the fifth character and the all story is just written well! Still want to understand the consequences of Konshu’s sky changes….
I jus want to say the overall acting in this series was amazing to watch, held my interest into watching every detail, and watching every episode twice. from marc/Stephen, harrow, layla/taweret, taweret/dead soldier, reoccuring extras, etc... jus pure acting talent, great choices ❤💯 loved this series the most of all of them so far, with loki a close 2nd, but disney has made some great choices in casting roles
I think Jake has the shadow knight ability to emit energy blasts from his eyes. It would explain what happened in that blackout scene and if you’re right about the image in the credits

I was just blown away by just how good the actress May Calamawy was in that scene between Layla and Taweret! To go along with what you were saying at 12:12 haha to me what came to mind was Jake looking like a mummified Power Ranger (to go along with the jokes you guys were making in the Ep 6 reaction video). lol Also I think Jake didn't have so much a superpower like you thought, but my guess is that when Jake appeared being pinned by Harrow's staff, I think Jake fought off the power of the staff and with both Jake and Harrow struggling with the staff as Marc did, it redirected the blasts all around the street blowing up the thugs, cars, and signs.

From what I heard on documentaries about ancient egypt, people put scarabs on their deads (especially the mummies) because they believed this would help them when they got in the afterlife, that it would help guide them through the afterlife journey and help in their final judgement. So I think Harrow didn't mean to, but actually ended helping Marc and Steven.
I also loved how when the soldiers were possessed their eyes were rolled back after possession much like how Marc Steven and Jake does that while switching over, and it's a real thing people with DID do

Question... where were the other God's during this last ep? And why were the avatars able to be killed sooo easily? It felt as if the other God's were lesser and only Ammit and Khonshu had superheros. REALLY weird for a finale...
As they said in episode 3 or 4 I can't remember but they said that Konshu is the only one who uses his Avatar for anything and gives him a suit and weapons whereas the others use there avatars as eyes to observe and influence the world in subtle ways
This series I feel succeeded at depicting what makes MoonKnight so interesting and different. I feel if it was way more superheroing people would just have the Batman comparison again. Seeing the fractured workings of Mark's mind is what then makes the hero MoonKnight interesting. I so hope this gets a follow-up. If Marvel is setting up a Marvel knights, I think this MoonKnight would definitely fit working alongside say GhostRider.
My only problem with the ending is Marc choosing not to kill Harrow. It doesnt make sense since Harrow has murdered before, its not some hypothetical future thing he does.
He's rebelling. Khonshu wants him to kill, as he always has, so he chooses not to kill. Harrow's moral decisions don't play into it, as dumb as that might seem.
This series was beautiful, and I learned a decent amount about Egypt's history and more about mental health. I want a season 2 because of the storytelling and how unique the series is so far.
I still think Jake is the main character, he might be orphan and went through some trauma and created Marc who was adopted which explains why his mother blamed him of being jealous of his brother. Just like Marc created Steven thus, Steven has no idea about Marc until he reveals himself, Jake might have created Marc thus none of the two has any idea of Jake, and as he is the main character, he is able to take control over the body without the other two's consent.

I remember reading more about it in college, but cases like Sybil that were popularized and became the basis of the way DID has been portrayed on screen where the alters interact and/or are fully aware and share memories has been debunked. But then again, this isn't a documentary on DID, so I guess some artistic license is to be expected...lol. Oh well...
i think it’s more steven did create jake to hold all of the physical traumas, and later traumas too. of course he’s not going to know of jake, to know of jake would mean to know of the abuse. in DID, there is no main character, not really. jake clearly isn’t able to take control whenever he wants, otherwise why wouldn’t he have immediately when khonshu wanted harrow dead initially? i think he’s always been the one that takes control during the night since the start. steven in restraints is to stop *jake* not marc. at the end, we see marc fall to the floor in restraints yeah? how could he have not known of them? *someone* cautiously unwraps the restraints at night, jumps over the sand, etc. and if it isn’t marc.. then it’s jake. therefore jake can’t take over whenever, he takes over when steven surrenders the body during sleep.
the abnormal thing is marc knowing of steven. DID has amnesic barriers, most alters don’t know of eachother initially. one might know of a couple others. to actually be diagnosed with DID there *must* be amnesia. so it would be weird if steven created jake to deal with trauma, for steven to know of jake’s existence. not only is it not consistent with DID but like it doesn’t make loads of sense.
i was hoping we'd eventually get to see Jake's perspective throughout the season... it was at let down that the final battle was concluded with a blackout hopefully they make a season 2 and we get to see it.

I loved this Finale, from the two identities coming together and the CGI was amazing. Also Jake now being the Moon Knight that I would imagine is way more ruthless than Mark, which could make people see him as a villain in season 2. Also Layla’s powers were dope af and the action scenes were great. So keeping in mind the creators said this series would be standalone for the first season and you wouldn’t need to see other MCU projects to really understand it. So I’ll give this a solid 8/10. Amazing series.
Moon Knight and LOKI have been the mcu series where I quite looking forward to what happens next. The others all seem don't seem to leave me on as much as a cliff hanger.

Oscar Isaac is such an amazing actor. It's almost scary how he is about to switch from Mark to Steven and then Jake. Having different facial features and different accents, truly shows how talented he is.
I hope Jake Lockley gets a suit and I can’t wait to see him in it.

Fairly certain it was teased in the credits. Or here at 12:06. The eye shape looks different and it seems like the nose bandage is more prominent maybe as a nod to his broken bandaged nose look. It's kinda giving me Power Rangers in space/Psycho Rangers visor vibes.
hands down the best series Marvel ever released yet. story, characters, image, everything was perfect. i really love Oscar as the moon knight, his act was top-notch here.

One fin fish was Steven representing "something missing", him being alone in the world. The two fin fish was Steven starting to find out about Marc, his "missing piece" back (but obviously he's confused as to what happened). The finale double fish represent Steven and Marc as two individual personalities now working together, neither "alone" anymore. At least that's how I saw it.

Actually if you listen closely when Steven was first negotiating for their release Konshu manipulates them by using his words carefully he said he will release them BOTH...they had no idea they were three in one person so technically Konshu still has a right to hold on to them because of the third identity who's Jake

The last scene actually shows that it was Jake who was in control in the very first episode and Not Marc. Because he would’ve known about the restraint but he doesn’t. So that implies it’s been Jake from the beginning
It was probably Marc at the beginning because it was more a killer alien than a human. Marc shows restraints when fighting humans and less when fighting animals.

I think I enjoyed it more than Wanda/Vision. The Marc/Steven bromance is so good. Layla is fantastic. Taweret is just my favorite. I honestly just want to watch the shenanigans of the four of them interacting on adventures.

There was a scene in the second episode when Steven is running from Khonshu in the storage place, and I may be reading into it too much but I’ve been thinking it may also hint to Jake. It just shows a lock rattling on one of the containers, but when I rewatched that scene it just struck me as a similar look to when we saw the extra sarcophagus. Something about the way the shot lingered on it. Also… “Lock”ley
Everyone seems to really gloss over the several dead, innocent orderlies can be seen in the background when Jake takes Harrow away at the end. Just a touch to indicate how much more brutal he is compared to even Marc
Possibly my favorite “easter egg” is actually the name Spector. Especially as the white Limo and plate name being correlated with Jake.

The only issue I had was that, when Jake took over during the fight with Harrow, we still didn't get to see it. I get the feeling that they could have done that and showed some serious brutality while hinting that it's Jake without telling us. That way it preserves the surprise at the end but we get to see him do some work.

I think this is the best finale of the Disney+ shows so far. I really hope we get a Season 2, especially since marvel has kept referring to this episode as the "season finale" and not the "series finale" also that QR code comic link definitely makes me want to see Moom Knight fight Kang in the mcu.

Every episode defied my expectations. It was just solid from scene one. This is my fave series now and it sets on hell of a high bar.
This series was great on hinting at but never truly exposing any of its cards. Was truly blown away by the ending and the series as a whole.

The transitions after jack lockley's massacres' give me goosebumps, first thing you see on screen is steven/marc having a hard time until they get a seizure and next thing you know, everyone is dead steven/marc is splattered with blood and bodies everywhere.

I jus want to say the overall acting in this series was amazing to watch, held my interest into watching every detail, and watching every episode twice. from marc/Stephen, harrow, layla/taweret, taweret/dead soldier, reoccuring extras, etc... jus pure acting talent, great choices ❤💯 loved this series the most of all of them so far, with loki a close 2nd, but disney has made some great choices in casting roles

Also I think Jake didn't have so much a superpower like you thought, but my guess is that when Jake appeared being pinned by Harrow's staff, I think Jake fought off the power of the staff and with both Jake and Harrow struggling with the staff as Marc did, it redirected the blasts all around the street blowing up the thugs, cars, and signs.

From what I heard on documentaries about ancient egypt, people put scarabs on their deads (especially the mummies) because they believed this would help them when they got in the afterlife, that it would help guide them through the afterlife journey and help in their final judgement. So I think Harrow didn't mean to, but actually ended helping Marc and Steven.
I also loved how when the soldiers were possessed their eyes were rolled back after possession much like how Marc Steven and Jake does that while switching over, and it's a real thing people with DID do

Question... where were the other God's during this last ep? And why were the avatars able to be killed sooo easily? It felt as if the other God's were lesser and only Ammit and Khonshu had superheros. REALLY weird for a finale...
As they said in episode 3 or 4 I can't remember but they said that Konshu is the only one who uses his Avatar for anything and gives him a suit and weapons whereas the others use there avatars as eyes to observe and influence the world in subtle ways

This series I feel succeeded at depicting what makes MoonKnight so interesting and different. I feel if it was way more superheroing people would just have the Batman comparison again. Seeing the fractured workings of Mark's mind is what then makes the hero MoonKnight interesting. I so hope this gets a follow-up. If Marvel is setting up a Marvel knights, I think this MoonKnight would definitely fit working alongside say GhostRider.
My only problem with the ending is Marc choosing not to kill Harrow. It doesnt make sense since Harrow has murdered before, its not some hypothetical future thing he does.
But Marc is tired of killing in general and doing what konshu tells him
He's rebelling. Khonshu wants him to kill, as he always has, so he chooses not to kill. Harrow's moral decisions don't play into it, as dumb as that might seem.
Because Marc listened to Layla that he has a choice now...
Its just a sign of them saying "Fck off old bird, we're done"
Remember, Marc tells Steven that those kills weighed heavily on him. It made sense that he didn't want to be the one to do it.

Phase 4 MCU is well surpassing my expectations for sure.
This series was beautiful, and I learned a decent amount about Egypt's history and more about mental health. I want a season 2 because of the storytelling and how unique the series is so far.

I still think Jake is the main character, he might be orphan and went through some trauma and created Marc who was adopted which explains why his mother blamed him of being jealous of his brother.
Just like Marc created Steven thus, Steven has no idea about Marc until he reveals himself, Jake might have created Marc thus none of the two has any idea of Jake, and as he is the main character, he is able to take control over the body without the other two's consent.
I think it's the others way around. I believe Steven created Jake to take the beatings. Marc put up with the verbal abuse.

I remember reading more about it in college, but cases like Sybil that were popularized and became the basis of the way DID has been portrayed on screen where the alters interact and/or are fully aware and share memories has been debunked. But then again, this isn't a documentary on DID, so I guess some artistic license is to be expected...lol. Oh well...
i think it’s more steven did create jake to hold all of the physical traumas, and later traumas too. of course he’s not going to know of jake, to know of jake would mean to know of the abuse. in DID, there is no main character, not really. jake clearly isn’t able to take control whenever he wants, otherwise why wouldn’t he have immediately when khonshu wanted harrow dead initially? i think he’s always been the one that takes control during the night since the start. steven in restraints is to stop *jake* not marc. at the end, we see marc fall to the floor in restraints yeah? how could he have not known of them? *someone* cautiously unwraps the restraints at night, jumps over the sand, etc. and if it isn’t marc.. then it’s jake. therefore jake can’t take over whenever, he takes over when steven surrenders the body during sleep.
the abnormal thing is marc knowing of steven. DID has amnesic barriers, most alters don’t know of eachother initially. one might know of a couple others. to actually be diagnosed with DID there *must* be amnesia. so it would be weird if steven created jake to deal with trauma, for steven to know of jake’s existence. not only is it not consistent with DID but like it doesn’t make loads of sense.
I love the fact the transition from Marc to Steven to Marc is so smooth after they saved each other and corporate a lot more.

I loved this Finale, from the two identities coming together and the CGI was amazing. Also Jake now being the Moon Knight that I would imagine is way more ruthless than Mark, which could make people see him as a villain in season 2. Also Layla’s powers were dope af and the action scenes were great. So keeping in mind the creators said this series would be standalone for the first season and you wouldn’t need to see other MCU projects to really understand it. So I’ll give this a solid 8/10. Amazing series.
