01:36 before switch mod 03:02 after switch mod 04:15 custom mod In case anyone wants to compare back and forth Clacky just sounds to piercing for me. It just cuts through everything. I prefer the dark, low sound out of the box or the custom. Honestly, the difference between custom and out of box is so close, I’d keep it stock. Thanks very much for the video. Sincerely appreciate it - it was entertaining and informative! All the best!
Awesome video Lewis!! I really like how you approach reviews (providing different sounds from different mics, stock vs. mod tests, etc.) Even though I am not really a beginner (since I have been in the hobby for years) I don't really purchase a ton of keyboards and keyboard parts, so these minor accomodations that you do help a lot in putting things in perspective. I especially like how you've been using Gateron Yellows, those were my first switches and are still a great way to gauge how a keyboard sounds. Job well done!
I really liked that you removed the foam. I'm a huge fan of clacky boards. I love seeing if budget boards are able to sound good without foams and with clacky switches. I actually think this one sounded decent! Keep up the good work, buddy!
Good video Lewis! I just ordered my Lucky65 today. I´m going to do a foam-less build on it. Lewis, if you want to do a foam-less build on a PCB and plate with flex cuts, consider getting a plate fork. That is what I am going to use in order to install the switches (AKKO Cream Blue Pro) without bending the plate itself when pushing down on the switches. I can´t wait for it to arrive and add it to my collection!
I'll share some facts about this keyboard as not everyone may be aware of. I ordered 2 units. 1st unit didn't want to connect 2.4gHz and keys didn't want to change in software. In the 2nd it works, however! 2.4.gHz is completely useless as it's not responsive and has massive delay! Not for gamers then! And the total red flag for me is you can't change the FN key layout in the software. Yes it's beautiful keyboard that feels and looks premium, but I have to take aways few points for not being practical.
Edit: in total I ordered 6 units of blue one. Of 6 units only one was unfaulty. 1 came scratched, 1 came without support rubber on the bottom, 1 came without rgb on capslock and delete key, and other 2 came without working software - couldn't change key layout. Half of them all didn't have working 2.4gHz connection. In one unit after replacing the spacebar stabilizer the whole keyboard stopped working.. It looks so good but the quality is such a distaster that's it's hard to recommend.
please help me, I can't figure out how to see how many percent of the charge I have left on the lucky 65, do you know which key combination to press or where to look?
Dude I've got a problem. It came today and I installed their software but I can't can't change the mapping of certain keys. Most of the keys don't want to be changed in their app while others do. I can't change FN to be alt or alt to be FN but also I can't change most of normal keys. Any suggestions?
I don’t understand the whole screw in stabilizers if the plate mounted sounds great? I was going to get the tofu65 but i just went with this because its $100 less. I think outside the 1.2mm flex cut pcb with plate mounted stabs, the keyboard is basically the same. Easy to take apart. It comes with an aluminum weight instead of brass but thats it. Brass weight vs aluminum and screw in stabs that you need to lube because stock theyre terrible.
Lewis I'm looking to build a 75% keyboard with TTC Frozen V2 switches but I'm having a really hard time finding a DIY kit that is all around good for around $60. Also looking for keycaps that are just black and white almost like an office membrane keyboard is impossible. Please help
definitely comparable, i think the main difference in them is the general quality of the board, in terms of specs you could say they are fairly similar
Great video! Future recommended for a board to review is the Womier SK65! I think the SK71 was pretty goated as a fully built MKB so it's has a lot of potential!
Hi Lewis! Love your chill video styles. Comparing this with the GMK67/67s, would you say the metal case is worth nearly double the cost for the GMK boards? What actual difference is there when it comes to feel and sound? Thanks!
I might get this board sounds nice like the navy blue that's funny cause womier coming out same board sk65 lucky keyboard lol. But this one better has more choice colors
Hello, nice review ;) I've bought this keeb first impression was great but I am facing a major flaw that there is no way to configure right alt key with the software, I was able to put in the Sugar65 the right alt in the original FN place and the FN key in the Right Ctrl in the sugar with his software, but it seems that in this keyboard with it's own software is imposible, I configure the keys in the soft as I have in the Sugar65 and save and nothing happens... Somebody with the same problem?
Got it today and it's faulty. Some keys change mapping in software, others don't, and 2.4gHz connection just don't work. But thank you for suggesting gateron milky. This build is really creamy, cut I'll just order another one and hope it'll be good
Just got mine as well today, the 2.4 Ghz seems to be wonky. Also, I tried to leave for 20+ minutes and tried to wake it up, and it takes a while to respond. Trying it now on another computer.
@@eytfiftin well I returned mine and I'm waiting for the new one. Should come in the next week. Had to pull out the switches and what cought my attention is that the plastic pad (in which you put switches) gets scratched and destroyed super easily while pulling out those switches. Must be made from super soft plastic
Such a missed opportunity that it's called lucky, has a four leaf clover, but no green color! Good overview, but I'd recommend you to mention when you're given a product for free just to be transparent to your viewers. Also, you forgot to mention that it has plate mounted stabs (included). Other than that, good video. Also nice haircut!

Where did you order yours? Mine's coming in mid May, $74 shipped to US is such a steal...so I bought 2 lol, one all foam and one foam-less.
Can't go wrong with Morandi! The WS Heavy Tactiles give a nice deep sound to me but the Morandi are perfect for that board! Great work!
