Awesome video Lewis!! I really like how you approach reviews (providing different sounds from different mics, stock vs. mod tests, etc.) Even though I am not really a beginner (since I have been in the hobby for years) I don't really purchase a ton of keyboards and keyboard parts, so these minor accomodations that you do help a lot in putting things in perspective. I especially like how you've been using Gateron Yellows, those were my first switches and are still a great way to gauge how a keyboard sounds. Job well done!
thanks for that
Damn, you really amped up the production quality, great job!
Man you are A M A Z I N G, 3 diff ways for a keybord with knowlege in ??? Are you insane or something ??? Keep that work i love it
I like how you included a few different sound profiles with the different switches and foams in this video.
❤️
Can't go wrong with Morandi! The WS Heavy Tactiles give a nice deep sound to me but the Morandi are perfect for that board! Great work!
THE COLOUR IS SO PRETTY OMG
I got this and the neo65, honestly this sounds just as good as that board without any of the hassle
I really liked that you removed the foam. I'm a huge fan of clacky boards. I love seeing if budget boards are able to sound good without foams and with clacky switches. I actually think this one sounded decent! Keep up the good work, buddy!
thanks man
It both looks and sounds incredible 😍
ngl ur hairstyle got better it suits way better than before
THANK YOU FOR THAT
Yeah he looks really nice with that hairstyle
@@LewisToh bring back bald lewis toh
Good video Lewis! I just ordered my Lucky65 today. I´m going to do a foam-less build on it. Lewis, if you want to do a foam-less build on a PCB and plate with flex cuts, consider getting a plate fork. That is what I am going to use in order to install the switches (AKKO Cream Blue Pro) without bending the plate itself when pushing down on the switches. I can´t wait for it to arrive and add it to my collection!
Where did you order yours? Mine's coming in mid May, $74 shipped to US is such a steal...so I bought 2 lol, one all foam and one foam-less.
01:36 before switch mod
03:02 after switch mod
04:15 custom mod
In case anyone wants to compare back and forth
Clacky just sounds to piercing for me.
It just cuts through everything.
I prefer the dark, low sound out of the box or the custom.
Honestly, the difference between custom and out of box is so close, I’d keep it stock.
Thanks very much for the video.
Sincerely appreciate it - it was entertaining and informative!
All the best!
thanks man!
@@LewisTohthis definitely hurt a bit huh? Summarised your video in a comment 😂
Great video regardless. Thanks for all the different sound tests
this whole build is so cute!
yes! fits the cozy setups
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! love it
grinded this one quick
the back profile is just amazing, this colour looks so nice!
color is definitely one of the better points
Great video!
Future recommended for a board to review is the Womier SK65! I think the SK71 was pretty goated as a fully built MKB so it's has a lot of potential!
The SK65 is basically the Lucky65 rebranded lol
Looks like it dropped down to ~$70 for US folks, a great successor to the Sugar65 of last year.
huge!
Just bought this keyboard though im trying to find a screw driver to try open the board do u know where i can get it ?
The budget king strikes again.... 👑
Just got this keyboard. Overall I like it but I can’t seem to figure out how to get to the volume controls
just bought mine cant wait
How would you say this keyboard compares to the gmk67?
what switches do you use on ur daily driver??
I have sugar 65 and Mine has a problem where the spacebar scratches at the case itseld
im confused cause it says in stock and gb both on the product page
In stck? Is it not a GB? Can you explain?
Dude I've got a problem. It came today and I installed their software but I can't can't change the mapping of certain keys. Most of the keys don't want to be changed in their app while others do. I can't change FN to be alt or alt to be FN but also I can't change most of normal keys. Any suggestions?
Hello, nice review ;)
I've bought this keeb first impression was great but I am facing a major flaw that there is no way to configure right alt key with the software, I was able to put in the Sugar65 the right alt in the original FN place and the FN key in the Right Ctrl in the sugar with his software, but it seems that in this keyboard with it's own software is imposible, I configure the keys in the soft as I have in the Sugar65 and save and nothing happens...
Somebody with the same problem?
Lucky65 can connect by Bluetooth ( not receive)?
so you prefer gmk67, sugar65 or lucky65?
Yooooo love that marbly sound
Thanks, I was looking for a new board for my wife, and this video came just in time!
perfect
@@LewisToh ordered!
@@LewisToh Just got it and built it. We were blown away at how good it sounds with just a simple tape mod! Thanks again, I have a happy wife!
Lewis I'm looking to build a 75% keyboard with TTC Frozen V2 switches but I'm having a really hard time finding a DIY kit that is all around good for around $60. Also looking for keycaps that are just black and white almost like an office membrane keyboard is impossible. Please help
How do I set the key? Is via possible?
this will be in stock after the groupbuy?
I don’t understand the whole screw in stabilizers if the plate mounted sounds great? I was going to get the tofu65 but i just went with this because its $100 less. I think outside the 1.2mm flex cut pcb with plate mounted stabs, the keyboard is basically the same. Easy to take apart. It comes with an aluminum weight instead of brass but thats it. Brass weight vs aluminum and screw in stabs that you need to lube because stock theyre terrible.
Can anyone tell me what size of screw need to open this board .. I have 5-6 hex screw drivers but none of them works
Can you try that kit with hyacinth v2u sw ?
another great budget keeb thx lewis :)
❤️
Hey can you change FN key in the software?
Is it better than Sugar65?
were the switches lubed at all or was everything stock
lewis, is this on sale on taobao?
Nice vid! I like the thock parts of the sound tests. Budget keebs are really getting better
definitely
Where to buy good kb in sg?
I'd recommend the HM Z1 switches for the future budget builds. I think they're pretty solid out of stock.
oooo will try to get some
Mine just came, I'm having interference issues on the bottom row with cherry profile keycaps.
is it compatible with windows 11?
Nice vid mate
Hi Lewis! Love your chill video styles. Comparing this with the GMK67/67s, would you say the metal case is worth nearly double the cost for the GMK boards? What actual difference is there when it comes to feel and sound? Thanks!
Well duh... All you get is difference in weight and sound... Cause it's aluminium and that's it.
It's missing a nice green color :( would go very well with the leaf engraving on the back.
Sound test made me ascend
does it work on ps5?
is this good for gaming?
keycaps?
weikav lucky65 ,looked nice ,i like the blue one
gmk65 or this?
I might get this board sounds nice like the navy blue that's funny cause womier coming out same board sk65 lucky keyboard lol. But this one better has more choice colors
LOL
WHY DOES IT SOUND SO GOOD!!??
because its expensive
@@MewTSB it’s not tho. Sounds better than some expensive ones tho
@@iDeker really depends on switches, oh and dont buy from keychron
4:15-4:42 what is that constant tink sounds like metal on metal
Such a shame it doesn't have volume knob
Just curious what wpm u typing? I just started learning proper typing while waiting for my first proper keyboard😂
usually about 90-100!
do u know how to fix the mushy stabs on this keeb?
hey did you happen to find a fix for this? also the spacebar thing is a bummer 😢
Is Xinmeng M67 comparable to Lucky65 ? the latter isn't available normally in Philippines while the former is in stock rn on Shopee
definitely comparable, i think the main difference in them is the general quality of the board, in terms of specs you could say they are fairly similar
@@LewisToh For its price point, how was Lucky65's anodization and weight compared to higher-priced boards like Tofu 2.0, Zoom65, and QK65?
Sounds so creamy with the yellows and Morandi switches, But I still plan to get the Neo65 it just looks so much better.
havent really tried neo65, but this definitely is creamy
Do you like this board or the sugar65 more?
if i had to choose, probably this but if i had to buy sugar65 that works just fine too
Gateron Milky Yellow is a great choice, it can be creamy or thocky to many.
yes sir
was the milky yellow lubed or stock?
stock
When keycaps doubles the price of keeb. Nice.
Got it today and it's faulty. Some keys change mapping in software, others don't, and 2.4gHz connection just don't work. But thank you for suggesting gateron milky. This build is really creamy, cut I'll just order another one and hope it'll be good
Just got mine as well today, the 2.4 Ghz seems to be wonky. Also, I tried to leave for 20+ minutes and tried to wake it up, and it takes a while to respond. Trying it now on another computer.
@@eytfiftin well I returned mine and I'm waiting for the new one. Should come in the next week. Had to pull out the switches and what cought my attention is that the plastic pad (in which you put switches) gets scratched and destroyed super easily while pulling out those switches. Must be made from super soft plastic
Grabbed one. Little weird that Wormier has this exact board but with a knob though. They even have a clover on the back in the same spot lol
heard about that too…
how did you comment this an hour ago if this video was made 6 mins ago
yeah alotta companies get a design from 1 single manufacturers and just add a few changes
@@WalkerOnYTwhat's the wormier kb called?
@@ethankylepascua6519 Womier SK65. Same board, but with text engraving, knob and different colors.
Hey! I saw this being built!
sick
I love this keyboard build. It's super cute!
❤️
I'm feeling Lucky
Anybody that picked this up have their spacebar hang up and not return to its resting position?
Peace Lewis!!! :)
Man can't find these keycaps with shipment to Poland
I want this bad but VIA has me spoiled lol
I see the Iso compatibility, very nice😑
I looks and sounds a lot like the rainy 75
gna be trying rainy75 soon
Great deal
indeed
Such a missed opportunity that it's called lucky, has a four leaf clover, but no green color! Good overview, but I'd recommend you to mention when you're given a product for free just to be transparent to your viewers. Also, you forgot to mention that it has plate mounted stabs (included). Other than that, good video. Also nice haircut!
Morandi are like 4x more expensive than gateron
did anyone realized that this is less than $30 on taobao
ah here we go again. Stopping kids from saying “Stopping kids from saying “stopping kids from saying “stopping kids from saying “ stopping kids from saying first”
did i go too far
you crossed the line xD
@@WalkerOnYT i thought that was my idea! 😂

:( im just unlucky ... again an Keyboard that i cant by from Germany
ngl this iss good but is not good as possible as the qk65
ooo interesting take, qk65 does cost double of this
Imagine this was on the market in 2020. It would be $300 minimum
Morandis are too wobbly for me.
I'll share some facts about this keyboard as not everyone may be aware of. I ordered 2 units. 1st unit didn't want to connect 2.4gHz and keys didn't want to change in software. In the 2nd it works, however! 2.4.gHz is completely useless as it's not responsive and has massive delay! Not for gamers then! And the total red flag for me is you can't change the FN key layout in the software. Yes it's beautiful keyboard that feels and looks premium, but I have to take aways few points for not being practical.
Edit: in total I ordered 6 units of blue one. Of 6 units only one was unfaulty. 1 came scratched, 1 came without support rubber on the bottom, 1 came without rgb on capslock and delete key, and other 2 came without working software - couldn't change key layout. Half of them all didn't have working 2.4gHz connection. In one unit after replacing the spacebar stabilizer the whole keyboard stopped working.. It looks so good but the quality is such a distaster that's it's hard to recommend.
Bought mine for 52€ cant really go wrong with that low of a price
hi
helo
Anyone know anything more creamy than this???
Got mine for 36 USD lol
Oops I watch the wrong video
Barebone 80$, but your keycaps 100$ and switches 50$ :/
he promised a $80 kit, not a $80 build
They failed us all! Only if we had been "Lucky" enough that it would support QMK/VIA or VIAL the world would have been a better place. But no collectors are stuck with yet another board they will never buy because adding yet another board that supports their own software would just plain suck. Realize manufacturers we don't want 30 boards plus 30 pieces of software. I think keyboard RUclipsrs should refuse reviews for the community until these manufacturers help us all out and support via or vial at least. Drives me insane to even watch a board I can't and will never add to my collection. People don't realize the hassle when you get to 10 boards of installing potentially 10+ manufacturers software. I finally stopped my insanity and started my collection over selling the ones that did not support at least VIA or VIAL. It's no longer acceptable please stop the madness.

Probably not "sponsored", but board is definitely provided by since it's not released yet. It's quite common in the keyboard community, but yeah I agree it should be disclosed when the product is given for free.
Seems like it’s not sponsored
Can someone please guide me how to connect this keyboard to my Mac ? Both wireless and wired would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!
