I love how they tell you her story only through gameplay with her moveset changing through the fight and the music. This is peak state of the art video game staging
Every SoulsBorne boss is like that.
I don't know what happened the second time I fought her. There were two attempts to beat the boss, in the first I almost won and the intense part of the music left me at my peak, but in the second try, the music stayed the way it started, without the full orchestra and choirs, and I won without hearing the best part.
Yea it's a weird glitch. It happens when phase 1 music is near the end and Lady Maria goes to phase 2. And because of that music just loops like it's still phase 1. It happened to me a lot while fighting her in ng+7

Man she was the best fight in the game, the dual in a clock tower, hunter vs huntress blood for blood, until the last man/woman stands!

This is my favorite boss ost from all the Souls series. I can't perceive it separately, only how it is mixed with the fight, which is already outstanding, but together with music it might be the top 1 for me. People who overuse the parry for this dance are sinners.

I did all the bosses in bloodborne, including the chalice dungeons and the DLC… but she was my favourite boss in the whole game… diffficult, fun and elegant, I swear this boss was a masterpiece

Is it just me or is the boss to easy and cheesable for how much other cool shit she’s got going on? I honestly feel like Gherman’s harder which I’m not sure which would make more sense lore wise, but progression wise it’s a mid to late DLC boss depending on how you look at it, and I think if she was at least Friede levels of difficulty she’d be a lot better of a fight. Still love her though.

tbh she was one of the easiest dlc bosses i've fought. she only took 10 tries, and i expected more for a 3 phase fight that is constantly hyped up.
