Best take I've seen here. Boss fights should be fun! That's why bosses like Sully, Gael, and of course Maria are celebrated, while misguided celebrations of difficulty like the Shulva Gank Squad and Headless Ape fall by the wayside.
When the chorus started singing like they felt the weight and regret of Lady Maria's actions, it kinda made me tear up, which of course, got me killed.
Dang, all of you are out here talking about how easy she is when I can only reliably parry her in phase 1. Either way, this is my favorite fight and music in all of Fromsoft history.
Didn't find parry that effective imo. Staying close, doge then quick attack and rely on the stuntlock to break her combo made my way through. Being aggressive was the best defensive option I found
@@JongleurBt1 I'd have to agree with you there. Engaging at the right time and smacking her so hard she can't sit for a week will be more effective and usually more fun than risking hits to do the same high-damage visceral over and over.
@@corvus9829 but how, pulling off parries isn't as easy a boobs try to say. "Oh you can parry her to death" yea if you're good at parrying you'd go for parries
Gotta say this boss is actually really easy. Even without Parties, if you know directional dodging you get an opening after almost every attack. My first run took me two tries and I went in on my first attempt with no blood vials and STILL almost got her. Would be lying tho if I'd say I did'nt have one hell of a blast.
It's not about how easy or hard she is. The fight is just amazing and having it easy or hard doesn't change that

I feel sad for all the people who ruined this fight by spaming parrys.
If you can parry her to death especially in phase 3 then you'd have more skill than the average player.
@@ollaughingbeta2233Is the opposite, the fact is if you can beat her without parrys you have more skill.

@@corvus9829 not really if you can pull off parries on attacks that are quick and delayed. It makes the fight feel fast paced and always on the edge
People saying that the battle is easy using parry and then me that i always forgot that the parry exist in boss fights

I can hear Lorian and Lothric in this
cuz its the same composer
Tomito I've got to say, you've really done a service with all of Fromsoft's games. Thank you so much,
"I will take everything he built away from him. You're not going to change that...EVER!!!!"
"REIA! GET AWAY FROM THERE!"
"...ack...!"
Shame I parried her to hell and back and I didn't enjoy her fight.
Well that was until I tried Augur parrying...
Yeah, this boss is disappointingly easy if you spam parry. 90% of the time it will succeed
What about the remaining 10% though?
