- Graeme O'Neil takes a look at how celebrities reacted to seeing Jared Leto's homage to Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, at the 2023 Met Gala, including Anne Hathaway, Lizzo, Salma Hayek, Nick Jonas, Jimmy Fallon, Kim Karadshian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Ashley Park, and Aubrey Plaza.
Choupette meant the world to Lagerfeld so it was a very thoughtful costume, and so beautiful.
Always expect the unexpected from Jared. Nice tribute.

Is a cat costume really a fashion statement? I'm not so sure. It was kinda funny, but seems more gimmicky that fashion.
100% it is. Especially if you know why it was worn. Any reference to animals is also a fashion statement as well given how much animal abuse and vile animal cruelty goes behind many clothing lines and how the world is close to losing pretty much all animal lives in it.
