I think the "This is what you are" motif is hinted at during Core Containment because of our nature as the player character, wanting to help the Hex and give them an ending they deserve, not one so tragic as dying in vain.
As a '90s kid, I can't get enough of the grungey ambient mall music. You're right about it sounding almost bored; it definitely has that edge of rebellious angst so popular at that time.
34:35 I'll TRY my best to explain the plot, obviously avoiding spoilers. Pre-1999 was all about "The Kid" finding out who he was and putting an end to the Orokin empire, I think that's pretty well known by now. Similarly, 1999 is about Drifter finding out who he is in all this mess. The New War showed us Drifter and Kid are connected, potentially the same person with Drifter being a grown up version of the Operator. Duviri was a story Drifter heard as a kid that the void entity made real. Drifter comes from the future, and was brought back in time, which is why everyone calls him Marty (A reference to Marty McFly from Back to the Future). As for the whys to everything, you'll just have to keep playing (Though fair warning, answers might not come or be satisfactory. The story of Drifter seems to be the next decades long story DE wants to tell).
The Great Despair hit too hard in the last section of the quest bruh. After going through the whole quest and knowing what will happen, the green text, I almost wanted to cry, and I never cry when watching TV or playing games.
This entire plot must hit so deep for Drifter A group of outcasts trapped in an endless loop, forever suffering and dying. Just like Drifter in Duviri (fun little parallel, him getting struck in the right hand, similar to how Lotus lost her right hand) So now it is time for Drifter to be the hand to reach out and save, and for once it is his choice. A lot of the story of Drifter has been him pulled along by things outside of his control, but now he was given the easy way out, a simple choice that nobody would know about, and he made a choice to save others, even if it risked himself
I love your content Marco, I put this on in the background after a long few days and had a great time watching you play this through. I love your insights into warframe's music and how much fun you have playing this amazing game! Here's to many more hours.
I'm terrible at explaining stuff so I will try my best. You should be able by now to have access to the backroom area, so once you leave it and get into the mall, go straight forward all the way to the wall, turn right and its either on the ground or in the planter. You have the new prex card! Completely disregard this comment if you already picked it up. Happy holidays! 😁
About your controller vibrating at the beginning of the mission, this is a suggestion for a game with great vibe and music: Rez (and the porting Rez HD for modern platforms). It's an on-rail musical 3D shooter originally for Dreamcast unlike anything else, it's set in the cyberspace and the electronic music is timed on the level, it's a wonderful experience. The reason why I'm suggesting it after hearing about your controller vibrating is because it has a "synesthesia mode" where every controller connected would vibrate according to the music and hits. I suggest you to check it out.
I love video game music 😂idc i may sound on the mic, i will sing to my hearts content. 🎉❤ I did that with my stream, im haply ro watch your videos and how you express your love for music on video games ❤🎉 Happy new year tenno

Got my snacks, ready to binge the stream! Loved your Jade Shadows let's play!
I WAS FUCKING WAITING FOR THIS HELL YEAHHHH
I love me some ambient tracks as much of the next gamer, but it's great seeing so much of the 199 OST having lyrics!
Don't miss up on the messages you get from them, the quest is NOT over. The Hex Finally Quest is available after you get close to them.
