    We have all failed to stack-up when we are about to leave Doug. And, how many times have you put your chips into a rack, and lose it all on the last hand. we are human and mistakes come with being one. Keep Vloging, WE APPRECIATE YOU as well.

      Thanks, I debated with myself about adding, but decided it wasn’t my day and to come back when I was playing better. Of course I was awarded AA when short stacked just to rub it in.

    I think you actually played that last hand perfectly, just unlucky. More often than not you profit more with the line you did take. Jamming there does get crying calls from flush draws but you always want 45 pumping money into the middle. Run better Doug!

    • @dougmccuskerpoker
      @dougmccuskerpoker  7 месяцев назад +1

      I believe raising flop to charge draws is best. He probably would call a standard size raise, I would need to overbet just to get him to think about folding.

    • @joeyp3094
      @joeyp3094 7 месяцев назад

      @@dougmccuskerpoker Do you really want 45 off folding there? I'd want that call 100 times out of 100. Sometimes -EV calls work out for folks, all part of the math 😁

    • @dougmccuskerpoker
      @dougmccuskerpoker  7 месяцев назад

      He stabbed and I flatted, I feel that charging his stab with a raise is best. Charges the other players that are getting good odds and makes him put more money in bad. I think he would call, so the outcome is the same but he puts more money in bad.

    Oddly, these type of videos are some of my favorites. Real, raw and relatable. That card dead, fish filled sessions where you’re spot dead even if you get “reasonable” hands is something we all go through. Keep it up Doug, you’ll be on the other side frying fish again soon

    16:50 I did the something the same with tens yesterday…frustrating poor play on me. Left up 100. Shame but a small profit is better than a loss or big loss. Didn’t go on tilt preceded to play solid poker as this happened early this in session. Moral victory! Also sorry bt. Not having chips when you finally were bt to leave tbh I been card dead my last two sessions forget what qq kk aa looks like 😂. Thanks for the vlogs it’s making me a more solid stable player. Great video and very educational (the honesty and thought process of all hands noting mistakes which is incredibly hard to play perfect) my mistake is booking my largest session win ever and than not playing for ten days..however studying small stakes nlhm harder than ever investing in content like yours and a new book. I suppose I really want to understand ranges and gto at a higher level…tomorrow or Sunday it’s game time.

    • @dougmccuskerpoker
      @dougmccuskerpoker  4 месяца назад

      There is a lot of good material out there to study ranges and such. At the lower stakes, it is not as important because so many players make huge errors. Hard to create ranges when someone is playing too many hands. Looking for tells underrated.

    Your bet sizes are always too small. On that J10 hand, you bet more, he likely folds. Alternatively, you usually win there so if he does call, it makes his mistake bigger.

    • @dougmccuskerpoker
      @dougmccuskerpoker  6 месяцев назад

      I bet a little smaller because there is a $200 bonus for high hand. I was sure I was way ahead.

    In a game where I've seen people call off $700 pre flop with 2's. I would raise pre flop way higher. Especially if they are on tilt. They don't fold much at the Capitol.

    The fallacy in judgment is to think any player with a flush draw, esp one with a higher card to fold to any bet on the flop at a 1-3 table. Usually, It's a bet to build the pot in hopes that they chase and miss.

      @M0RALO 7 месяцев назад

      @dougmccuskerpoker Not really, out of position, with nut flush, you want to create some weakness illusion. Especially when on flop you bet. You should let's the bluffing window open to your opponent very often and more than ever in this scenario. In case of a check back to river, now you can bet small for EV. When you have the nut, you should search for opportunities not for value cause you have it all.
